Unique Patented Thrust Balancing Feature
TB Series
The TB Sries 'Thrust Balancing'is a revolutionary engineeringconcept.
As seen in Fig.1 the dischargepressure causes liquid to flowpast the clearance rings andaround the Magnet Capsule. Athigher flows the variable orificeopens and decreases the balancepressure to negate forward thrustof the impeller (Fig. 2).
At lower flows the variable orificecloses and increases the balancepressure to negated the back-thrust of the impeller (Fig. 3).
The net result is an extremelystable axial position that does notrequire axial bearings. Comparethe axial thrust loads of the TBSeries to other mag drive pumps.(see Fig. 4).
Clearance Rings & Solids
TB Series clearance rings restrict solids greater than0.1mm from entering the containment shell area,keeping all bearings and critical flow paths clear. thisenables the pump to successfully handle solids.Concentrations up to 30% and particle sizes to 6mmin size are possible.
Pressurised Radial Bearings & Volatile Liquids
The TB Series radial bearings operate in a pressurisedfluid environment, which enables volatile liquids to bepumped safely without flashing off.
