‘POMMEC WELDING LENS’

Pommec welding lenses are designed for several different Masks, helmets and constant volume hoods.

These assembly’s are specially designed to provide visual protection only while welding and cutting underwater. Mounting of these lenses is very simple and all mountingcomponents will be delivered with the lens.

Technical Diving Equipment BROCO UNDERWATER WELDING

The introduction of the Broco wet welding electrodesrepresented a major break-through in the state of the art design for underwater electrodes. At long last certifiable welds could beobtained with minimalamounts of physical labor, diver training and wet welding practice.

Less experienced divers can do the work right with less qualification training whenBroco electrodes are used.

EasyTouchFor many non-structural repairs the resultant weld is allowed more leeway in terms of porosity, inclusions, integrity and appearance. In these instances welder/diver pre-qualification to the job is often not required. This environment has led to the proliferation of a number of subsea electrodes that produce welds of marginal quality under even the best of circumstances.Weighing Performance vs. Profitability, contractors are often torn between bidding a premiumelectrode or compromising quality with a lower priced pretender. These cheaper electrodes carry hidden costs though, in that they are more difficult to run, harder to clean and often need to be ground and rewelded; all of which add bottom time and increase operating costs. In order to fill the void between quality and economy, Broco has applied their significant experience and knowledge to the issue of designing an electrode specifically for the lower-end market. The resultant electrode line, EasyTouch, is moderately priced while yielding excellent results.EasyTouch lives up to its name by being easy to light, easy to run (a controllable puddle with rippled bead appearance) and easy to clean. Like SofTouch, EasyTouch is a high deposition all-position Resultant welds meet all applicable portions of D3.6-93, the latest specification of the American Welding Society for underwater welds. SofTouch electrodes are available in various sizes and different alloys for both mild and stainless steel welding. They're called SofTouch because that is all it takes to quickly complete a smooth, certifiable weld. The old method of bearing down while trying to maintain weld integrity is gone with SofTouch on the scene!

SofTouch mild steel electrodes are available in 3/32 inch, 1/8 inch, 5/32 inch and 3/16 inch diameters.Stainless electrodes are sold in 1/8 inch and 5/32 inch sizes. Its unique design allows for complete dismantling and replacementof all parts, on site, without the need for any special tools or training. The holder can also be adjusted for wear through its patented design, which allows the main collet body to be turned.

Each full revolution moves the body up 1.0mm allowing for over10mm of adjustment to be made. It has an overall length of 200mm (8"), a diameter of 40mm (11/2"). It’s light (under 400g)and easy to use with a simple twist mechanism to tighten and release electrodes.It’s manufactured from a tough, hardwearing, insulating materialthat is virtually indestructible and provides the maximumprotection for the diver. The holder can also be used safely above water. The design allows for electrodes ranging from 2.5mm to 5.0mm to be used, and is available with or without a whip lead. All parts are also available separately, making it the only stinger you’ll ever need.

The Sea Torch® is an underwater cutting and welding torch with a one piece body construction.The torch has a tapered collet which brings the bare surface of an electrode into contact for the entirelength of the collet. This solid grip and increasedcontact area decreases the risk of arcing between the collet and the electrode and damaging the torch head.By loosening two set screws, the oxygen valve and lever can be rotated to different positions to provide easier oxygen flow control for the diver. The torch comes with a 10 ft. (3.05 m) cable which can be disconnected from the torch. To use the above torches for underwater welding, there are collet chucks available for use with the Sea-Weld®underwater wet welding electrodes.

The Arcwater® Torch is designed to gouge or cut steel, stainless steel and other metals underwater safely, easily and efficiently. The torch also can be converted to an underwater welding torch by simplychanging collets.The torch is oxygen free, eliminating the risk of hydrogen gas pocket explosions. The torch uses current from a DC power source, reverse polarity (DCEP) and a special Arcwater electrode.Fresh or sea water must be delivered to the torch at 90 psi (6.32 kg/cm2 or 620 kPa) over the bottom. A minimum water flow rate of 3.5 gallons (13.25 liters) per minute is required. The metal is mademolten by the electrode coming in contact with the work piece, forming an arc. The molten metal is then removed by the high pressure water stream,leaving a clean slag-free gouge ready for welding.Three special collets are available to adapt theArcwater II Torch for underwater welding with 1/8"

The Piranha range is a range of 400 amp DC safety/monitor and control switches. These units are designed to sit in-between the power source and the diver, providing a safe method of isolating current and voltage for the diver, or operator.

There are three model types;

1: Utility case easily portable 2: Steel wall mounted (large) 3: Junior (steel portable or wall mounted

The utility case and large wall mounded units are fitted with amp and volt meters as standard thereby, allowing welding parameters to be monitored and/or recorded and the units also provides a useful means of checking working efficiency of the power source.

Although initially designed for welding/cutting underwater, the devices are equally well suited for situations where close control of thermal operations in hazardous areas is required.

Technical Specifications

All switches are fitted with a 100%, 400 amp duty cycle push/pull switch, which meets CE directives, Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian Standards Association approvals.

All units are fitted with DINSE style panel plugs and sockets as standard and are supplied with a full, return to base, 12 months warranty against defective parts or faults.

1: Utility case model: - Is a portable, brief-case style unit housed in a tough, light weight rugged structural form case, having the following external dimensions; L: 406mm, H: 305mm, W: 210mm and only weighs approximately 6.0Kg.
