Meetings will be held every Tuesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. The team will meet in
person in Dana library. Communication will be held through the Groupme application. All team
members were present and cooperative throughout the creation of the norms charter.
Meetings and Attendance
1. When will meetings occur and how often?
Team meetings will be held weekly on Tuesday from 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
2. How long will the meetings be? Stating long enough to accomplish the tasks is too
vague.
Every meeting will be from 10:00 to 1:00. If not finished the Team must stay until it's completed.
3. What is expected of members with regard to participation and preparation?
Each member is expected to complete the weekly task that is assigned to them. Members must
show up prepared to each meeting. Participation is not required but a server lack of involvement
by any member will be noted and discussed after the weekly team meeting.
4. What will be done to encourage punctuality and regular attendance?
As a team we all share the same goal of getting an A. This will be the prime motivator for our
team. We will remind each other ahead of time to prepare and attend meetings in order to help
prevent accidents. If attendance becomes an issue for any member it will be discussed openly
after team meetings.
5. What are legitimate reasons for missing meetings inside and outside of class time?
We believe that team meetings should be as important as the actual class. That is why we are
going to require proof every time a member is unable to show up. Failure to attend will only be
excused for, work, medical emergency, or a family tragedy.
6. What will be done to encourage everyone to participate during meetings?

As a team we all have the same goals and are driven to achieve the best grade possible. In order
to achieve this, extroverts will take an active part in asking introverts how they feel about the
decisions the team takes.
7. What is the balance between work and fun during meetings?
The team will try to create a fun atmosphere in order to help prevent problems or stressful
situations. While at the same time each member will keep an eye on the clock in order to
maximize efficiency.
Communication and Conflict
1.
When will communication take place?
We will talk daily through a Groupme application. We will also use class and meeting time to
help create synergy within our schedules in order to be able to meet deadlines.
2. Who is responsible?
The person trusted with the leader position each week will be made responsible for contacting
and reminding the team members of deadlines and tasks. The team leader is not responsible for
the consequences someones lack of communication can do to the team as a whole.
3. How will it be done (phone, e-mail, virtual conferencing)?
Communication will be done through the phone using the Groupme application.
4. How will feelings about the team or members be raised and discussed?
We have an open door policy. At the end of each meeting any miscellaneous problems or
misunderstanding will try to be resolved. It is the responsibility of every member of the team to
be open when it comes to their feelings or opinions.
5. How will the team encourage members to listen attentively and respectfully to others?

Members will be reminded that we are all trying to reach one goal. If any member creates a habit
of disrespecting other team members. Then his/her actions will be documented and talked about
at the end of each weekly meeting.
6. Will there be rules on limiting interruptions or preventing personal criticisms? Why?
There will be a time set during each meeting to talk about problems. There will also be no rules,
but if serious problems erupts a third party mediator will be called in to help resolve the problem.
This way we can maximize efficiency and still hold people accountable.
7. What expectations does the team have about being considerate about team members
comfort with things like smoking, swearing, speaking in different languages?
We came to the conclusion that none of the examples above apply to our particular team.
8. What is the teams ability to change the norms if members are uncomfortable with what
is going on in the team?
The members decided that if compromises cant be madethe majority will rule. If the need arises
to create a new norm the team will vote anonymously.
Tasks and Decisions
1. Will the group have a weekly agenda or agenda for each meeting? Who will be
responsible for setting this up?
After Thursdays class the team leader for the week will distribute tasks accordingly. The date,
time and place has already been agreed upon.
2. Will the responsibility stay with the same person or rotate across team members? Why?
The responsibility will rotate each week to a different person because we believe that the
responsibility and power should be shared equally between all members of the team

3. How will tasks be allocated in the team?
The strengths and weaknesses of every member will be brought to the leaders attention before
any decision is made. The team leader of the week will also try to assign the same amount of
work to every member.
4. What are the teams expectations about standards, deadlines, how equally effort and work
will be distributed, how work will be reviewed, and what to do if people do not follow
through on commitments?
We expect high standards in order to reach the grade we want to achieve, and we decided that
our deadlines are Wednesday afternoon/night. The work will be completed on Tuesday and will
be reviewed by everyone on Wednesday. We will document if an individual's task wasnt
completed to see if the reason was legitimate. If it wasnt a good reason, it will be documented in
team evaluations.
5. How will decisions be made? Why/why not?Must everyone agree for consensus?
Since we are a team everybody will have equal power. As a team we will all try to reach a team
consensus, but if its not possible the majority will rule. We choose to do this because we believe
it is the fairest option.
Leadership
1. What is expected of the team leader?
The team leader has to make sure that the whole process is moving forward, and efficient. Also,
it is not his responsibility if other members wont communicate back to the leader because he
made the effort.
2. What are the team leaders responsibilities?

6
The team leaders responsibility is to assign tasks to fit each persons strengths, weaknesses, and
time availability. Also, it is to keep the team on task and moving forward.
3. How can the team leader be kept from doing all the work?
They are to delegate the tasks equally, and make sure everyone else is completing their tasks.
Ending Paragraph:
1. How will decisions be made? Why/why not?Must everyone agree for consensus?
Why/why not? Will anyone have veto power? Why/why not?
As a team we decided that at the end of the day majority would rule if a change had to be made.
We plan on enforcing this by relying on anonymous votes to accept or reject an idea or
propositioned notion. This will be implemented by giving every member the ability to call for a
vote when they see that discussion in futile. The votes will be anonymous and the results will be
final.
2. What are legitimate reasons for missing meetings inside and outside of class time?
Member needs to provide proof of reason and location for every absence. They will also be
responsible for the work missed and talked about. Making the absentee responsible for his own
catching up should stop most infractions to the attendance policy. The fact that this behavior will
be cataloged will also ensure people will show up in order not to lose grade points.
3. How much work and fun?
If the team has too much fun the meeting will continue as long as is needed to complete the task.
The meeting does not have a time limit which will force everyone to stay until the work is
finished. This will create big scheduling problems for all of the team members. In this case the
fact that people might miss other classes or work will be the motivation to make sure that each
meeting is finalized in the allotted time frame.
