How to Read a RACR (10 minute training)

• All Academic Advisors use RACR for academic advising

• RACR, Racer Academic Completion Report, is the degree audit that the Registrar and Graduation Office use to determine progress to graduation

• Your advisee needs to make sure that all information on the RACR is correct and that all coursework is credited appropriately

• Academic Advisors help Advisees ensure that the RACR is correct. AACSB Program Advisors: Refer to CUBA

Page 14: Teaching Racers To Fish: Undergraduate Academic Advising for Advanced Scheduling Fall 2015 Your Academic Advisees’ Responsibilities Your Role as an Academic

substitutions, waivers, AAPR (Advisor Approved Electives), etc.

• Error or other problems with a RACR? Contact [email protected]

• Need help? Check with your Department Chair or Program Coordinator or email [email protected]

• Plans – have advisees complete a degree plan, mapping out courses needed semester by semester – know when courses are offered and advise accordingly

• Progress – “15 to Finish” – advise accordingly -- help advisees set goals to make progress
