PURPOSE OF TEACHING AND LEARNING PLANS
Teaching and learning plans derive from the strategic and operational plan of TVET colleges. Many plans compiled by colleges for submission to the department have been done purely for compliance purposes which borders on “window dressing” rather than having the intention to serve as a proper planning tool to be implemented for improved practices which can increase the quality of teaching and learning in colleges.
The development of teaching and learning plans is aimed at ensuring that colleges plan properly and take informed decisions before identifying the type and combination of specific programmes to offer and the number of groups to register within each of these programmes.
