Tea Tree Gully Newsletter Bulkana Oval www.ttgathletics.com.au Hello everyone, I dont know about you guys but this first half of the season has just vanished before my eyes. What a crazy 3 months, but well done to everyone for sticking with us, against all the weather odds, and still enjoying themselves and having a red hot crack! If nothing else this has reinforced how fantastic and resilient our athletes are, and also to you, the parents, for your continued dedication in bringing them every soggy Sunday!! I know I’m prpoably going to jinx it, but hopefully the 18th December will turn out to be a beaut day so we can celebrate our final meet for the year and our Christams party! There will be a normal program, followed by a bouncy castle and a visit from Father Christmas. Children will receive a lolly bag and we will be doing a ripper BBQ with some extra things on the menu. Please bring a esky and a Santa hat and join in the fun! Again, for those athletes in the Under 9-17 age groups I strongly urge you to make sure you do ALL possible events to help get some of you over the line for both relay and Multi Events qualifying. Our recorder will up date the notice board on the 18th but if you have any questions please email Claire or myself and we will help sort things out. On that note I have put in a request to SALAA that we have some leniency considering our poor weather conditions. There is no gaurantee that I will get this so lets be prepared anyways….. For our Under 13-17 athletes I hope you have all received your invites to a more ‘grown up’ approach to our Christmas celebrations. Can you please make sure you rsvp by Thursday 15th Dec, so Mel can finalise numbers with the Golden Grove Tavern. The next half of the season sees us moving into the much anticipated Championship events. State Relays, State Multi Event, State Challenge and then the finale with the State Individual Championships. For new families that are unfamiliar with how these all work and the qualifying requirements, please dont hesitate to ask myself or Claire, or any other committee member how to be involved in these events. All information can be found on our website or the SALAA website. I will keep you as up todate as I can so please check emails, FB and the Team App regularly. Our Bakers Delight Tart fundraiser is in full swing and orders need to be placed and paid for by 14th December! I know what my in-laws will be getting for Christmas!!! lol Good luck to all those competing on Sunday. I hope the event lives up to its name and you all perform some amazing Personal Bests!! period.

TTGAC have organized that we can purchase either Lemon Tarts or Fruit Mince Tarts in packs of 6 for $9 and for every pack we sell Bakers Delight will donate $2 back to our club, pretty good hey?!?   The

tarts can be ordered via Mel or Michelle at SA Athletics Stadium this Sunday, or you can email Mel at [email protected] to place an order before the 14th Dec.  Delivery will be at our last home meet where we will have our Xmas break up

celebrations.  Bakers Delight prides themselves on making the highest quality tarts, so please

consider supporting us with this fundraiser and spread the word with your family and friends, I know I will be getting a packet or 2.
