Today is Monday, April 24, 2017.

Any student wanting to run for a student government office next year needs to pick up the application in the guidance office this week. Dead line for turning in the application is this Friday.

The baseball program is running a Stand Up to Cancer fundraiser to help 3 local families pay for part of their cancer treatments. You can purchase a Stand Up to Cancer card for $3 to represent someone you know whom has been effected by cancer, or you can simply donate to the cause. See Coach Light or Coach Wisneski during lunch to buy a card or make a donation. If we raise $3,000 then Coach Wisneski will shave his head during lunch one afternoon in the courtyard.

GUIDANCE

Students, Skyward access to course selections for next week will remain open until 2 p.m. on Friday, April 28th. After that, you cannot make any changes to choices. Also, remember that there is a Course Override Form in Guidance that must be completed before any changes can be made to teacher recommendations for courses you were not recommended for. Course overrides must be approved by the teacher, department head and guidance before any changes are made.

College Tour June 5th-9th to 8 colleges including UF, FAMU, Spelman, UNF AND Bethune Cookman. Juniors and Seniors Are eligible. See Mrs. Paulling in Guidance for application information.

Central Florida Mechanical Joint Apprenticeship Training Program at Walt Disney World is looking for qualified applicants.

Applications are in Guidance for students who are 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma.

Senior checklists will go out on May 1st in 1st period classes. If you are an off campus student, absent or tardy on that date please see Mrs. Paulling in Guidance. Students who are being recognized at the Award Night Ceremony on May 3rd will receive their invitation as well on the 1st. Checklists must be given directly to Mrs. Paulling. Seniors who have been flagged to meet with Mrs. Croker concerning their graduation status can make an appointment to meet the week of the 8th. All checklists must be finalized and completed prior to May 12th. See Mrs. Croker for any questions.

Seniors interested in going through the Fire Academy after graduation need to get started now on the enrollment process. Class starts June 6, 2017. Deadline to apply is April 28th.

Southern Scholarship Foundation offers rent-free scholarship housing for eligible seniors attending FSU, FAMU, UF, FGCU, TCC, Flagler and Sante Fe College.

The Italian American Club of the Plantation at Leesburg Scholarship

$1,000 scholarships for students of Italian-American Heritage.
