Denise Albert, ParentCrew Board Donations Chair, wrote and applied for the grant in February. After a long process of waiting, the good news came just before spring break. The Whole Kids Foundation $2000 grant will be applied to providing outdoor garden enrichment for every child at TAS (PreK3-8 th grade!). This grant supports outdoor edible gardens that help children understand how food is grown, what resources it takes to grow foods, and how garden cultivated fruits and vegetables can taste so good! The mission of the Whole Kids Foundation is to inspire change in kids’ eating habits. Please check out the Whole Kids Foundation website for more information: www.wholekidsfoundation.org. TAS Athletics Panther Pride

SOCCER We had a successful soccer season this year.

Our final record was 6-2-2. The team’s greatest moments were beating ECS away in the first leg and beating Hot Springs two times in penalty shootouts. We are very proud of our players and will miss the 16 graduating 8th graders next season. The future is bright for the Anthony Panthers soccer team. --Ashton Winkelmeyer, PE Teacher/Coach

GOLF The Anthony School students have begun to get to the links! The spring season has opened the golf

courses and golfers are beginning to track to the courses. This year we have four students participating in golf representing The Anthony School - Garrett Fraiser, Isabel Chaidez, Matthew Lamb, and Olivia Bulloch.

All classes, practices, and matches are held at The First Tee. After school from 4:00-5:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday students from the Little Rock area meet to participate. The season began on March 27th and will end Thursday, May 10th.

It is great for our young students to learn and compete in this league. It’s tee time for a little golf, and we hope the weather cooperates throughout the spring season.

TRACK Coach Sawyer Schaedig and Coach Jeremy Estell welcome approximately forty 5th – 8th students

participating on the 2018 track teams, boys and girls. The 2018 track dates have been announced and as are as follows:

Wednesday, April 18 Wednesday, April 25 Wednesday, May 2, (Championship) Wednesday, May 9 (Reserved if championship is rained out)

Meets begin at 4:30. Students and parents will be receiving more information concerning arrival and dismissal times and procedures.
