To assess student knowledge with regard to various operation and working principle of engine room machinery.

General appearance of cadet prior attending the interview.

Ability to respond / answer to basic and important questions such as operation of main engine, watchkeeping etc

Ability to incorporate the safety matter when answering the question such as things to do before realeasing CO2 to engine room.

Evaluate student's answer for special events such as engine room flooding, what to do during black out, fire in engine room etc.
