Tarago Show Sunday 15th March 2009 Showtime is almost here!

Well, it won’t be long now till show day is here. All of the details are on the Tarago website www.tarago.org.au including the pavilion schedule, horse and dog programs and other useful information. I hope everyone has plenty of arts crafts, cooking and produce etc to enter in the pavilion competitions run by the CWA ladies. We, like every-one else, are having a bit of a battle with our veggies this year but hopefully we will have 8 or 9 varieties to enter as long as the water holds out. At the Show there will be plenty of entertainment for all ages with the pavilion exhibits, Kiddies Korner, shearing competition, tug of war, vintage cars, sideshow alley and a host more including the horse show in centre ring and the dog show at the recreation ground. We have again booked a magician and the reptile man who both will pre-sent free shows throughout the day. We are looking forward to cooler weather than most previous Shows so come along, bring the kids, and your other half and enjoy yourselves all at a reasonable price with plenty of free activities and good food, coffee and other refreshments. Radio 103FM personalities will again MC the Show and our new Mayor will speak at the official open-ing. Show starts at 9:00 am and officially finishes at 5:00pm. If you are not too busy come down to the showground on the Friday or Saturday before Show day, for an hour or so, and help us set up. We will be starting at 9:00am each day and should be finished by about 4:00pm. We are still looking for a few volunteers to help out on Show day to do a couple of hours on the gate, or at a food stall or help with the parking. Please contact either myself or one of the Committee members if you are available. Also if you have any queries or suggestions about the Show don’t hesitate to contact us. It is never too late for a good question or suggestion. Our next two Show meetings will be on Monday the 2nd of February and Monday 2nd of March at 7:30pm at the Dog. All are welcome to attend. Also remember Show membership is just $6 per adult and that entitles you to free entry to the Show. Contact any committee member to arrange membership. I look forward to seeing you all at the Show

New signs for the Rec Area The new signs have been erected in the car park and by the monument next to the Cricket Pitch. The sign in the car park is for recognition to the many community members and local businesses who put much time and effort as well as financial support to develop the Rec Area.
