DAY 1 - 15.02.2019

EVENT DETAILS:

The Tamil Nadu Innovation Grand Challenge – TNIGC -2018 is an initiative

taken by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) -

Tamil Nadu, with a target to promote innovation and Startup culture within

the state.

TNIGC 2018 comprises of a series of events, the first of which, is SPRINT,

through which we have invited applications from young, promising startups

from different regions of the country. Out of 82 applications, 25 Startups have

been shortlisted in accordance & pertaining to the Rules and Regulations of the

event and taking Innovation Factor into account.

Of the 25 Startups selected for SPRINT, 21 registered their participation on

the day of the event.

JUDGING CRITERIA

TNIGC – JURY has evaluated the Final Pitches made by the Startups with the following

criteria.

1. Validation - What is the value proposition to the customers? How well does the

team understand their customers and their needs? Whether they have done

their surveys and research?

2. Execution & Design – What is their approach? Who has the required skills and

will be responsible for specific steps to build their intended goal?

3. Implementation & Prototype – Have they established a ‘Minimal Value

Product’? Is the MVP designed well and appropriately positioned for the right

markets? Did the group have a solution to a worthy problem or did they have a

working demo.
