Devon Energy February 2013 February 2016 Coordinated three different teams for Data Quality:
A Data Quality Consistency group, which consisted of Data Quality Analysts from multiple Domains. This groups responsibilities were to ensure consistent implementation of Data Quality practices across the company.
The Engineering & Operations Data Specialists group, who are the experts of their specific Data Domains. This groups responsibilities were to ensure that Data Fields were defined appropriately; Business Rules were accurate, and the Data Failures were cleaned up in a timely manner.
The Engineering & Operations DQ Workstream team. This team at its peak was made up of 2 Data Analysts (including myself), 1 Business Analyst, 4 Technical Analysts, and 3 Informatica Data Quality Developers.
Conceptualized and implemented a repeatable Data Governance Process for Data Quality that is currently utilized by all E&P Domains and is in the process of being rolled out to the entire company.
Utilized a SharePoint List with different views to facilitate the Governance and Development Lifecycle
Utilized Informatica Analyst and Metadata Manager to store, profile, and track impacts of the data
Utilized Informatica Data Quality to develop the rules Conducted training sessions for all Data Management teams on Data Quality Concepts
and the new process Collaborated with the Data Governance Business Analysts on the Data Quality
Workstream requirements Developed the requirements for a Seven Lakes Technology Data Quality Dashboard to
provide a single location for tracking, trending, and reporting on the state of Data Quality for the E&P Data
Trained all users on the Data Quality Dashboard Clarified any questions/concerns in Data Workroom Sessions to the Data Specialists
about Data Quality rules in conjunction with the Data Governance Coordinator who provided the business expertise
In one year, tripled the Data Quality rule count for Engineering & Operations over the previous two years combined. Rules written against TOW, WellView, eMDM (PPDM3.8), and BIDW (PPDM3.8)
Presented on Data Quality Processes and Rules at PPDM’s Annual Calgary Conference in 2014

Application Analyst/Developer Chesapeake Energy Corporation July 2011 – February 2013
Served as Data Quality Engineer on an E&P MDM project, which utilizes the PPDM data model and has multiple different sources as versions of a Wellbore
Designed requirements for complex Data Rules in regards to ensuring the data quality of the project remain intact
Collaborated with the Data Architect, Lead Developer, and Lead ETL Developer on the evaluation of how to implement PPDM 3.8 model when different translations of the model occur
Researched the current implementation of the PPDM 3.8 model to determine the home for any attribute
Document Data Mappings & integration rules for all sources to PPDM 3.8 and work with ETL developers to ensure accuracy
Complete QA/Validation of all business and integration rules, which includes the business rules engine, InRule
Analyze issues and mine the database to determine the cause and the solution

Created and maintained a program timeline that tracked estimations, resources, and deadlines for all the Geological Prognosis integration projects utilizing MSProject
Implemented WellView integration with the Geological Prognosis application project ahead of schedule, required coordination between 6 groups
Gathered both highlevel and detailed requirements; created and maintained project timeline for Reservoir Engineering’s Price Differentials projects utilizing MS Project

Business & Integration Rules – Responsible for gathering the requirements for the rules as well as implementing and testing them
Completed all the Data Discovery required for the initial data set of well header Documented all the adapter adjustments, business rules, integration rules, and
data discoveries; as well as, how to do everything that was involved Trained 2 separate individuals on how to use InnerLogix, how to do all of the
adjustments, and how to do all of the requirements gathering and discovery required for the project
Team & Role Change: PM OneView DQM – PPDM January 2011 Lead the effort of standardizing the Well Status from multiple external and
internal systems while coordinating efforts with the Geoscience Data Librarian to ensure the effort stayed in sync with other ongoing initiatives
Documented rules and process flows: o Designed a Wellbore Identity Resolution process to uniquely identify
Wellbores and ensure that they are matched up with the appropriate records
o Designed a pseudoAPI process to assist with Wellbores that do not have APIs to ensure consistency across the database
o Designed a Composite Record Generator to combine multiple sources data into a single Wellbore based off of customer (Geosciences) defined preferences
Developed a Big Picture Integration efforts diagram to help the entire program team understand the current standing and the end goal
