Year of Power and GracePacific Place welcomes the Year of Horse in Chinoiserie Lunar Festival. Inspired by the folklore of Ma Liang and the Magic Brush, and designed with inspirations from chinoiserie artistic style, we present you a three-dimensional painting & decoration that is unlike anything you have ever seen. Feast your senses on the dynamic and graceful Chinese performances: 1000 Hands Buddha Dance, Modern Silk Dance, Lion Dance, Dragon Dance, and Chinese String Duet/Quartet. Catch them every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 24 January 2014 – 16 February 2014. Expect a little surprise because we present these performances with a modern twist!

The beauty of Crystal Christmas decoration and exclusive fashion collection has certainly left us with awe and joy. Motivated by the spirit of giving in Christmas season, Pacific Place organized an auction for charity of the crystallized decoration and some of the items in the fashion collection, all for the purpose of sharing that joy with those in need. After a period of online public auction, an event was held at Liberté in Galeries Lafayette on 9 January 2014 where selected guests were invited to participate in the auction. All proceeds from the items sold, such as a white shirt from Adamist and a dress from M by Mischa, will be donated to YCAB Foundation.

For starter, warm yourself up with their new Bouillabase, a combination of seafood in a bowl. For main course, their Steak Au Poivre, a peppered striploin with black pepper cream sauce, will pamper your mouth with flavors. Then complete your meal with the sweet and tempting combination of puff pastry, white chocolate chantilly and berries known as Mille Feuille. Liberté’s selections of Profiteroles are definitely recommended too. As for beverage, champagnes and wines, mandatory at a fancy dinner, are on the restaurant’s list.

SUPERHEROES ASSEMBLEDAnyone without superpower can still feel like a superhero because all it takes is a super-costume! For two days in 18 & 19 January, @america gathered comic artists, fanboys and film lovers for blasts of fun and action-packed exhibitions at the cultural center’s annual super-event: @amer-icon. Exhibitions came from Indonesia’s own Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel Comics, DC Universe and Transformer communities. Equally awesome were photographs by names such as Admira Wijaya, Garrie M. Gastony and Sami Basri. Of course, a comic convention has to have a cosplay contest and that was exactly what the fanboys got! Even without a real display of superpower, the event was another fulfillment of @america’s mission to empower.
