Benefits: • Scholarships for students who complete all 4 years of the academy • The 2 nd course, POE, counts as a Science Elective or Adv. Elective • Engineering electives are weighted like accelerated courses o 5% Weight for IED, POE, DE & EDD o 10% for AP Computer Science Principles • College prep engineering coursework using Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum • Autodesk Inventor (CAD) User Certification • Opportunity for participation in engineering competitions • Cohorts – take some of your core classes with the same group of engineering students.
