1 February 3, 2020 Dear Class of 2020 Student and Parent: Take a moment to remember all of the notes, memos, and letters you’ve received from your school and school principal, and know that this one you don’t want to throw away or disregard. I am very excited and proud to be able to write this note; because this is the note that will help you plan your graduation, and give you reassurance that you are almost finished with high school. Enclosed you will find the 2019-2020 Senior Information Packet. It is imperative you discuss these guidelines with your parent and submit the Guideline Acknowledgement form via the link provided on page 6, no later than April 24th. Graduation is the culminating event of not only yours, but everyone in your class’ formal schooling. I want you to be mindful that it is important to keep this event a respectful and memorable one. Every student deserves to hear their name announced, and every parent deserves to be able to hear their child’s name read aloud. It is also important to adhere to our dress code and behavior guidelines. These are not suggestions! Please note that students who are in possession of inappropriate items, or who do not conform to the required graduation dress code will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. The ceremony is a privilege not a right. Graduation will be held at the Curtis Culwell Center on Tuesday, June 2 nd , at 7:00 p.m. Parking will be at a premium. If possible, carpooling is suggested. Although these guidelines may not appear to be necessary, I remind you they are intended to make the commencement ceremony a respected, meaningful, and noteworthy event for all concerned. I look forward to seeing you on that evening, receiving your well-earned diploma. With Jacket Pride, Mr. Richard Terry Associate Principal of Student Services

Dear Class of 2020 Student and Parent:

Take a moment to remember all of the notes, memos, and letters you’ve received from your school and school principal, and know that this one you don’t want to throw away or disregard.

Although these guidelines may not appear to be necessary, I remind you they are intended to make the commencement ceremony a respected, meaningful, and noteworthy event for all concerned. I look forward to seeing you on that evening, receiving your well-earned diploma.

Graduation is to be a respectful event. Family and friends should listen quietly to all student and faculty speeches, and refrain from shouting as names are called. Please be respectful of all graduates and their families. Every family wants to hear the name of their graduate as he or she walks across the stage.

To help expedite the ceremony and not disrupt the next graduating class, it is requested that you meet your graduate outside of the CCC following the ceremony.

The Curtis Culwell Center congratulates all the graduates and wishes them well on their future endeavors.

Parents,

I wanted to send to you a quick reminder that all incoming college

freshman will need to get a meningococcal vaccination before starting

college in August. I also wanted to share with you that health clinics

and doctor offices have a difficult time keeping enough vaccinations on

hand, and may run out in the month of August. So if your child is

planning on attending college and needs the vaccination, it would be wise

to get a head start on their vaccination!
