OPENING CEREMONYJoin Satish Kumar, Sir David Green and David Francis for welcoming speeches
followed by Prof. Bashabi Fraser on Tagore Poetry and a special performance from
Ananda Gupta of ‘Gitanjali: The Journey’.
AVIK DEBBAccomplished Bengali singer and
student of the Shurer Dhara School in India will be performing a selection of
beautiful Tagore Songs.
DANCE OFFERINGSDance in Devon present a series of dance offerings created by selected professional artists based in Devon inspired by Tagore’s
Gitanjali, his nobel prize-winning work.
FLUXRegulars of the Southbank’s Alchemy
Festival and Talvin Singh’s Symbiosis of Sound, Flux present their new fusion music
created at the Studios at Dartington.
CONTEMPORARY DANCE WORKSHOPJoin experienced tutor Aakash Odedra for an practical insight into his unique
choreographic style and movement vocabulary drawn from traditional Kathak dance contemporised for the 20th century.

SHURER DHARAAll the way from Bangladesh, the
students of the renowned Shurer Dhara school will be performing Tagore’s music
and songs throughout the festival.

dance performs new works by Akram Khan, Russell Maliphant and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

From the A38 follow signs to Totnes. Our postcode is TQ9 6EL. Parking on site is 30p per hour or free of charge for guests staying at Dartington Hall. A park and ride service will be available from the Shops at Dartington.
AccommodationWhy not stay at Dartington for this year’s festival? B&B rates in our refurbished 14th century courtyard start from £39 single and £99 doubles and twins per room per night B&B.
