ABOUT LAST NIGHT: The Rainiers surrendered a late lead to fall 6-5 to Sacramento in extra innings. Tacoma led 5-4 heading into the bottom of the eigth inning before a Ronny Cedeno solo home run off Joe Saunders knotted the game up at 5-5. Infielder Chris Taylor went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple, while outfielders Julio Morban and Patrick Kivlehan both drove in a pair of runs. Starting pitcher Mike Kickham went 5.0 innings, allowing four runs on five hits, striking out three and walking four. Reliever Justin Germano tossed 2.0 innings of one-hit ball.

WALK IT OFF: Tacoma suffered their third walk-off loss of the season last night, after enduring only six such losses all of last year. The Rainiers went 4-2 in games following a walk-off loss last year, outscoring opponents 48-40.

LOOKING TO SPLIT: Down 1-2 in the series, the Rainiers face their first potential series loss to Sacramento since May 15-18 of 2014. Since 2005, the Rainiers have lost 14 of the 40 series played between the two clubs, while 10 have ended in splits.

MOUNT MONTGOMERY: Rainiers starting pitcher Mike Montgomery has made two career starts against Sacramento, including one at Raley Field in 2012. ROAD WARRIOR: Infielder Chris Taylor has reached base safely in 12 consecutive road PCL games, stretching back to 2014. During that span he is hitting .340 (16x47) with two doubles, two home runs, and four RBI. In 75 PCL games last year, Taylor hit .371 (65x175) with 20 extra base hits on the road and .268 (34x127) with 14 extra base hits at home.

QUIK MARTE: Rainiers infielder Ketel Marte leads the Rainiers and is second in the Pacific Coast League with seven stolen bases, and has recorded one stolen base in four of the last six games. Marte has 80 career stolen bases and swipes bags at a 72% success rate. He is also the only Tacoma player to have seen time in each of the clubs 19 games this year. The Mariners No. 4 prospect is hitting .295 (23x78) with two doubles and seven RBI.

FRIENDS ACROSS THE FIELD: The Sacramento roster currently features four former Rainiers players in LHP Clay Rapada, catcher Guillermo Quiroz, infielder Carlos Triunfel, and outfielder Darren Ford.

Rapada made 14 relief appearances for Tacoma in 2014, going 4-1 with a 4.12 ERA (9ERx19.2IP).

Quiroz played 168 games across four seasons for the Rainiers in 2006, 2009, 2010, and 2012 while hitting .285 (165x579) with 97 RBI.
