On the final day of Dutch Design Week, make your way to the church to contemplate not just a week of inspiring designs, but the designers themselves. 4Apostelen, made up of AtelierNL (Nadine Sterk and Lonny van Ryswyck), photographer Mike Roelofs and Wouter Kooken, created Curious Minds, an exhibition about what happens to design students after the DDW banners come down and everyone goes home. It’s an eerie yearbook for DAE alumni, including a video profiling several grads by Roeloef, a photographer for de Volksrant.

It also plays on personal experience – in 2006, Sterk and Van Ryswyck graduated to fan fare and press coverage with their Made From Clay graduation project (we covered it in Frame #69.) Six years later, they’re wondering what happened to the young designers who got press coverage, and to those that didn’t – and what really constitutes a successful ca-reer when a student leaves the Design Academy.

After a week of looking at Design students – from the Graduation Show – and young designers – in-cluding those from C-fabriek and Objects For Sale – it’s hard not to wonder what will come next in their careers. On the last day of DDW, this is an exhibition that will stay on your mind.

Negen dagen was Eindhoven in de ban van dutch design. de week toonde de eerste contouren van waar we naartoe gaan en hoe een nieuwe wereld eruit kan zien. Een eyeopener voor vele duizenden bezoekers, maar ook voor mezelf.bedankt: alle ontwerpers die hun uiterste best hebben gedaan mensen te inspireren en zich lieten inspire-ren. dank ook aan alle bezoekers die de moeite hebben genomen om – vaak van heinde en verre – hiernaartoe te komen. Last but not least dank ik de sponsors en vrijwilligers die dit evenement tot zo’n succes hebben gemaakt.En nu: moedig voorwaarts!

x-factor

waarom kopen mensen het ene product wel en het andere niet? wat geeft een ontwerp de x-factor? het succes van een product is afhankelijk van vele factoren, waar design er slechts één van is. het is voor een ontwerper van groot belang om hierin inzicht te krijgen. Een van de manieren waarop je dat kunt doen is met mensen in gesprek gaan. daarom neem ik deel aan dutch design week. ik hoor dan wat mensen van mijn ontwerpen vinden en waarom. wie dat regelmatig doet, gaat steeds beter aanvoelen wat de x-factor in ontwerp zou kunnen zijn.

Sectie C is een eigenaardige plek. Als je niet weet wat er verscholen ligt in de verschillende blokvormige gebouwen op het terrein, en je ziet die onvriendelijke toegangspoort, die paal met de defecte intercom (‘Hallo? Is daar iemand?’) en de kil-grijze binnenplaats, dan zul je het misschien zelfs een unheimische plek noemen. Soms, wanneer ik er ga werken en er is buiten geen mens te bekennen, doet het me een beetje denken aan een postapo-calyptische wereld. Ik verwacht er dan ieder moment een zombie te zien lopen. Zelfs het frietkot net buiten het terrein is ongezellig. Ik durf te beweren dat het het ongezelligste frietkot van Eindhoven is. (Van de buitenkant, althans.)

Toch doet u er goed aan om, wanneer u het terrein op bent gereden, niet rechtsomkeert te maken. Er is hier namelijk nogal wat gaande. dus: blijf hangen, loop rond, kijk om u heen, er zal zich een wereld aan u openbaren.Laatst liep ik ook zelf weer eens een rondje. ik passeerde het atelier van het ontwerpers-collectief Mint collective (als in near mint condition, want niets is ooit helemaal perfect). ze stonden buiten met een elektrische kook-plaat. het stonk verschrikkelijk. ‘wat stinkt er zo?’ vroeg ik. het antwoord was: rodekool. zo zie je maar, zoiets kun je hier gewoon zomaar tegenkomen: talentvolle designers die, zonder ook maar met hun ogen teknipperen, rodekool staan te koken.in een ander gebouw trof ik de jongens van collaboration O. weer een ander collectief. Maar liefst veertien man sterk. ze zijn hun samenwerking hier, op Sectie c, aangegaan. dat gebeurt hier bijna als vanzelf. Verschillende disciplines zorgen voor symbiose en symbiose zorgt voor een totaal dat groter is dan de som der delen. animatie, kunst, ruimtelijk ontwerp. check hun slogan: ‘grote jongens werken samen’.Een stukje verderop is Marcel van de Kimmenade aan het werk. hij heeft eigenhandig een snijmachine gebouwd. Typisch Sectie c is dat: als je een machine nodig hebt, bouw je die gewoon zelf. de machine snijdt een bijzonder soort kunststof in dunne repen. daar maakt Marcel vervolgens een eigentijds vliegen-gordijn van. Met een afbeelding naar keuze erop. heb je een paar dagen later je eigen vliegengordijn met het logo van go ahead Eagles in huis. ‘dit is het leukste stukje Sectie c,’ claimt Marcel.we lopen verder. hier huisvest ieder gebouw een nieuwe verrassing. ik ga een trap omhoog en ontmoet de jongens van Pluriform. grafisch ontwerp en vormgeving. Laatst nog zijn ze een samenwerking aangegaan met Schuurvondst. Schuurvondst restaureert oude fietsen. de jongens van Pluriform gaan nu een patroon ontwerpen voor óp die fietsen. En ook ik ga niet onaangeraakt bij hen van-

daan. we bedenken een idee voor poëtische teksten op de buitenmuren. ik verzin ze en zij ontwerpen ze. Symbiose. Nieuwe dingen. de creatieve energie stroomt hier als warm water over het terrein, meandert als een rivier naar andere gebouwen, andere mensen, andere disciplines. het is hier moeilijk om droge voeten te houden.Of wat te denken van akko en zijn pianola die ‘de plattegrond van de stad afspeelt’? zie daar je hoofd maar eens omheen te krijgen. Te abstract voor je? is oké. zijn buurman Michiel maakt exclusieve houtkachels van olievaten (met een ‘diafrag-ma van staal’).Mijn rondje komt tot een einde. ik huur hier tenslotte zelf ook een ruimte en er is werk aan de winkel. dat betekent echter niet dat ik iedereen heb gehad. integendeel: het was nog maar een fractie. Kom tijdens de ddw vooral zelf kijken. we bloeien als hei. zelfs buiten is het hier nu gezellig. Er staan kunstwerken, er is een wilde buitenplaats, we hebben perkjes en bomen, er lopen kippen, ad in-fucking-finitum. daarnaast krijgen we ook nog bezoek van gelijkgestemden uit het buitenland, onder andere delegaties van The royal college of art (Londen) en The School of design (Pforzheim). En ook het wereld Natuur Fonds is van de partij, met een duurzame veiling.Sectie c is een eigenaardige plek. geen idee hoe ik het moet noemen. Een kunstzinnige vrijplaats? Een creatief habitat? Och, ik hoef het ook helemaal niks te noemen. het is wat het is. het is prachtig. Kom, we laten het u zien.

Lots of nine-day activities, but also dailies. Altogether, there are more than 1,800 design participants organising around 300 events at 80 venues – all in one city.

We’re trying to keep you up-to-date with all the ins and outs of this huge mass of inspiration and help you find everything in the best possible way. What’s up today? You will find these sources of information at the exit of the Central Station (68), around deWitteDame (35) and inside the Klokgebouw (15). These Information Points also provide Daily Tabloids, an overview of the program, and the latest news and gossip.

Download the app!The Dutch Design Week website and its mobile version are handy hubs for all info on the event and its entire program. If you can’t find it there, you won’t find it anywhere. Got a smartphone or tablet? Download the free Dutch Design Week application. It’s really easy to do: go to the app-store and download the Layar app. Start it up and look up Dutch Design Week in Geo-Layers. Just launch the application and you’re ready to go!

Rental BikesWant to see everything of Dutch Design Week? All event locations are within biking distance. Moreover, you’re only a real ‘Dutchie’ when you’re cycling. So go and get yourself a rental bike, fun bike or other vehicle at Urban Wheelz Center at Strijp-S, location Videolab (29) and on the Lichtplein behind deWitteDame (35). Please note that you need to have a valid ID and a credit card to rent any of the vehicles. You have to take the bike back to the same location where you hired it.

MINI Design RidesWant to be driven around in style? The MINI Design Rides take you to and from any Dutch Design Week location. And the best thing is: it’s free! You’ll find them at the following four stops: deWitteDame (35), Stadhuisplein (49), Klokgebouw (15), and Piet Hein Eek (01). At all other locations, you can order a MINI Design Ride by calling +31 (0)40-2180000. MINI Design Rides are running daily from 11:00 to 20:00. Design Rides is a project by Stadvis creative concepts in cooperation with

MINI and Dutch Design Week. There are no less than 30 brand-new MINI Countryman cars driving around with an eye-catching design object on their roofs. Based on the theme of ‘BIG on MINI’, all objects have been made by designers.

Tickets and combi-ticketsAll events during Dutch Design Week are free unless stated otherwise. To get access to these exceptions, you can buy a ticket at the entrance. Don’t you like queuing up? Buy a combi-ticket and get a once-only free visit to the Graduation Show 2012 at Design Academy Eindhoven and two exhibitions at the Designhuis: Food Culture and YourStreet. Moreover, you can also enter the Klokgebouw without pre-registration and get attractive extra discounts on books at, for example, MU and Onomatopee.

A combi-ticket costs €13,- and can be purchased at the Graduation Show 2012 of Design Academy Eindhoven, the Designhuis, VVV (Tourist Information Office) and in the one and only DDW Shop in the Klokgebouw.

Can’t be missedEvery participating entrepreneur and institution in the centre will host design expositions and activities. During DDW they can be recognized by an eye-catching marking. These are designed and made by Collaboration-O. The vast amount of (spontaneous) activities are mostly set in the afternoon and evening.

OpeningThe design collective Design Reaches Influential New Knowledge Society (D.R.I.N.K.S.) has founded ‘Supporters Vereniging Brain Port’ (S.V.B.P.) during their annually meeting. This makes Design Reaches Influential New Knowledge Society Vereniging Brain Port (D.R.I.N.K.S. S.V.B.P.) the official twelfth man of Eindhovens Design. ”Support your local design” said the patrons of Eindhovens Design. The procession will gather at the Wilhelminaplein, near the design object of La Bolleur on Saturday, October 20 from 19:00 hrs.

‘Unexpected interaction’ in the centre of Eindhoven.

The centre of Eindhoven, called Area Inner City, is going to be programmed with the theme ‘Unexpected Interaction’. The full offer will contain inspiring design on six squares, eleven cultural institutions, twenty-four shops and food & beverage establishments. Fed by an arousing afternoon and evening program, you will experience a strong mix of design, technology, music, fashion and food at unordinary locations.

Area Strijp S/T/RLocations 01 - 30 / Opening hours: Principally mornings and afternoonsTalented and renowned designers, trade and industry, and numerous educational institutions present themselves in an industrial setting with a strong open-studio character.

Area Inner City Locations 31 - 76 / Opening hours: Principally mornings, afternoons and evenings. Dazzling designer collectives, cultural institutions, crafts and workshops with a focus on fashion, conceptual and innovative design, mostly under curatorship, in the welcoming environment of the Eindhoven inner city. This Area also includes the Graduation Shows by Design Academy Eindhoven and TU/e.

Design AreasDutch Design Week’s program is concentrated in three so-called Areas, each with its own character. Please note that although some events are taking place just outside the Areas, they are definitely worth a visit!

Area Strijp S/T/RLocations 01 - 30 / Opening hours: Principally mornings and afternoonsTalented and renowned designers, trade and industry, and numerous educational institutions present themselves in an industrial setting with a strong open-studio character.

Area Inner City Locations 31 - 76 / Opening hours: Principally mornings, afternoons and evenings. Dazzling designer collectives, cultural institutions, crafts and workshops with a focus on fashion, conceptual and innovative design, mostly under curatorship, in the welcoming environment of the Eindhoven inner city. This Area also includes the Graduation Shows by Design Academy Eindhoven and TU/e.

Area EastLocation 77 / Opening hours: Principally afternoons and evenings.Up-and-coming designers and dynamic collectives with a hands-on mentality in the experimental environment of the unique design enclave Sectie C on the outskirts of the city.

Guidelines for an inspiring visit Dutch Design Week offers a vast program including exhibitions, presentations, experiments, seminars, lectures and workshops, meet ‘n greets, parties, food and drinks. Lots of nine-day activities, but also dailies. Altogether, there are more than 1,800 design participants organising around 300 events at 80 venues – all in one city.

We’re trying to keep you up-to-date with all the ins and outs of this huge mass of inspiration and help you find everything in the best possible way. What’s up today? What’s the easiest way to get around? Where can you quietly recover from all the impressions? And why should you really buy a combi-ticket? Below you’ll find all the basic information you need for an inspiring visit to Dutch Design Week.

Info PointsThree official Info Points will show you the way and answer all your questions. You will find these sources of information at the exit of the Central Station (68), around deWitteDame (35) and inside the Klokgebouw (15). These Information Points also provide Daily Tabloids, an overview of the program, and the latest news and gossip.

Download the app!The Dutch Design Week website and its mobile version are handy hubs for all info on the event and its entire program. If you can’t find it there, you won’t find it anywhere. Got a smartphone or tablet? Download the free Dutch Design Week application. It’s really easy to do: go to the app-store and download the Layar app. Start it up and look up Dutch Design Week in Geo-Layers. Just launch the application and you’re ready to go!

Rental BikesWant to see everything of Dutch Design Week? All event locations are within biking distance. Moreover, you’re only a real ‘Dutchie’ when you’re cycling. So go and get yourself a rental bike, fun bike or other vehicle at Urban Wheelz Center at Strijp-S, location Videolab (29) and on the Lichtplein behind deWitteDame (35). Please note that you need to have a valid ID and a credit card to rent any of the vehicles. You have to take the bike back to the same location where you hired it.

MINI Design RidesWant to be driven around in style? The MINI Design Rides take you to and from any Dutch Design Week location. And the best thing is: it’s free! You’ll find them at the following four stops: deWitteDame (35), Stadhuisplein (49), Klokgebouw (15), and Piet Hein Eek (01). At all other locations, you can order a MINI Design Ride by calling +31 (0)40-2180000. MINI Design Rides are running daily from 11:00 to 20:00. Design Rides is a project by Stadvis creative concepts in cooperation with

MINI and Dutch Design Week. There are no less than 30 brand-new MINI Countryman cars driving around with an eye-catching design object on their roofs. Based on the theme of ‘BIG on MINI’, all objects have been made by designers.

Tickets and combi-ticketsAll events during Dutch Design Week are free unless stated otherwise. To get access to these exceptions, you can buy a ticket at the entrance. Don’t you like queuing up? Buy a combi-ticket and get a once-only free visit to the Graduation Show 2012 at Design Academy Eindhoven and two exhibitions at the Designhuis: Food Culture and YourStreet. Moreover, you can also enter the Klokgebouw without pre-registration and get attractive extra discounts on books at, for example, MU and Onomatopee.

A combi-ticket costs €13,- and can be purchased at the Graduation Show 2012 of Design Academy Eindhoven, the Designhuis, VVV (Tourist Information Office) and in the one and only DDW Shop in the Klokgebouw.

Press Center @ Strijp-SIn order to actually create the buzz Dutch design deserves, we try to be the best possible host for visiting media and press. Can’t be missedEvery participating entrepreneur and institution in the centre will host design expositions and activities. During DDW they can be recognized by an eye-catching marking. These are designed and made by Collaboration-O. The vast amount of (spontaneous) activities are mostly set in the afternoon and evening.

OpeningThe design collective Design Reaches Influential New Knowledge Society (D.R.I.N.K.S.) has founded ‘Supporters Vereniging Brain Port’ (S.V.B.P.) during their annually meeting. This makes Design Reaches Influential New Knowledge Society Vereniging Brain Port (D.R.I.N.K.S. S.V.B.P.) the official twelfth man of Eindhovens Design. ”Support your local design” said the patrons of Eindhovens Design. The procession will gather at the Wilhelminaplein, near the design object of La Bolleur on Saturday, October 20 from 19:00 hrs.

‘Unexpected interaction’ in the centre of Eindhoven.

The centre of Eindhoven, called Area Inner City, is going to be programmed with the theme ‘Unexpected Interaction’. The full offer will contain inspiring design on six squares, eleven cultural institutions, twenty-four shops and food & beverage establishments. Fed by an arousing afternoon and evening program, you will experience a strong mix of design, technology, music, fashion and food at unordinary locations.

Eigen huis & interieur loves dutch design

Dit jaar heeft Eigen Huis & Interieur voor het eerst een ranking gemaakt van Nederlandse ontwerpers, de EH&I Top 25 Dutch Designers. Niet op gevoel of met de natte vinger, maar gebaseerd op het oordeel van een specialistenpanel, toetsbare criteria en feiten (over het jaar 2011). In de DDW-tabloid verklappen we de hoogste 10. Daarom: elke dag een ontwerper in de spotlights! Vandaag: nummer 1 in de EH&I top 25: Studio Job.

Studio Job wordt gevormd door Job Smeets (1970) en Nynke Tynagel (1977). Wie herinnert zich niet hun meer dan levensgrote Paper Chandelier van papier-maché. Met hun ontwerpen zoeken ze zowel de grenzen van design als die van kunst op. De ene keer is een ontwerp een ironisch commentaar, de andere keer probeert Studio Job taboes te doorbreken. Spraakmakend zijn ze altijd.

DDW Goes Digital

Het begin van een traditie?het belangrijkste festival op gebied van interactieve media is SxSw. dit vindt jaarlijks plaats in austin, Texas. SxSw interactive staat wereldwijd bekend als de plek waar Twitter in 2007 tot bloei kwam en waar Foursquare werd gelanceerd. het staat ieder jaar bol van nieuwe technologieën en veelbelovende coole start-ups.

Platform internet bureaus Nederland (PibN) wil met ‘ddw goes digital’ graag zo’n zelfde traditie in Nederland beginnen. daartoe heeft het de afgelo-pen week een goede aanzet gegeven. Met dagelijks digital[ks] en een afsluitend seminar op vrijdag.

de line-up was veelbelovend. de zaal gonsde en de tweets, te volgen op grote schermen, vlogen in hoog tempo over en weer. albert Shum en corrina black van het windows Phone design Team van Microsoft trapten af rondom het thema ‘The internet of Things’. Een presentatie op niveau en dat bleek voor de rest van de middag maatgevend te zijn, met hier en daar nog een uitschieter naar boven.

Met name Fabian hemmert had de zaal aan zijn hippe gympen. zijn jaren bij Nintendo en Marvel hebben ongetwijfeld bijgedragen aan zijn opmerkelijk losse stijl van presenteren.

het is misschien nog te vroeg om van een traditie te mogen spreken, maar dit goede begin zou wel eens het halve werk kunnen zijn.

de ontwerpen die we de afgelopen week tegenkwamen tijdens dutch design week toverden vaak een glimlach op ons gezicht. Onder meer bij het zien van Playing Food door Tomm Velthuis, die in zijn ontwerp op speelse wijze de weinig duurzame methodes van de vleesindustrie benadrukt. Ook leuk: de toevoegingen aan publiek meubilair van Thor ter Kluve uit de tentoonstelling Coming Soon van artez, die uitnodigen je eromheen te verenigen. Een andere favoriet is de humoristische Paper Poo Machine door master-studenten van de design academy. deze voorbeelden laten zien hoe ontwerpers op zoek zijn naar een nieuwe maatschappelijke rol die aansluit bij de grote veranderingen die gaande zijn in de samenleving.

Sociaal georiënteerde waarden als delen, het lokale, verbinding en proportionaliteit staan centraal in een nieuwe, meer duurzame en sociaal verantwoorde manier van leven. daarom onderzoekt The beach’ project het Open Book for Sustainist Design, wat deze nieuwe waarden betekenen voor ontwerp en ontwerpers. het Open Book-project promoot een cultuurvisie die we ‘sustainisme’ noemen en vraagt zich af wat die kan bijdragen aan ontwerpen voor sociale vernieuwing en duurzaamheid. Samen plezier hebben, het creëren van ruimte voor sociale verbindingen en het gebruik van internet om ideeën en kennis te delen zijn allemaal onderdeel van de beweging. het is ons doel de nieuwe ontwerppraktijken zichtbaar te maken en te bekrach-tigen. Niet alleen hier in Eindhoven, maar wereldwijd.

het Open Book for Sustainist Design wordt ontwikkeld in een open redactieproces, waarin een breed scala aan ideeën aan bod komt. de voorbeelden die we bij elkaar brengen, ook deze week hier in Eindhoven, vormen de basis voor een ontwerphandboek – de Sustainist Design Primer – dat in het voorjaar van 2013 uitkomt. we vragen eenieder om ideeën aan te dragen, zowel over concepten als bestaande projecten. doe met ons mee in het hernieuwen van de sociale ontwerpagenda en voeg je ideeën toe op OpenSustainistdesign.net.

Vandaag gingen we samen met een journalist naar de c-fabriek. daar waren allemaal ontwerpers die lieten zien hoe ze hun dingen maken. we kwamen binnen en zagen paspoppen met kleren die je niet zo snel zou dragen. we zagen een rok van haren, een mooie pauwenjurk met heel veel kleuren en een plastic jurk met rozen erop. Ook was er een badpak met barbies, maar die vonden we een beetje kinderachtig.

daarna gingen we zitten op de big Mama. dat zijn grote ballen met een doek eromheen. het zit lekker, je kunt erop stuiteren en we zouden er de hele dag op kunnen liggen. de kleuren van de stof waren grijs, blauw, oranje en geel. bij zo’n big Mama zou een groene muur goed passen. dan heb je heel veel kleur in je huis.

Op twee verdiepingen daarboven hebben we koekjes gemaakt. ze waren lekker, maar niet goed voor je tanden! de man die ze maakte kwam uit brazilië. hij sprak Engels, dus we konden niet alles verstaan. als laatste gingen we kijken bij een mevrouw die zelf schoenen maakt. Je kon zelf kiezen welk stofje en welke knopjes je wilt. we hebben ze zelf niet gemaakt, daar was te weinig tijd voor.

in de Krabbedans kijken modepoppen in een witte, clean ogende ruimte strak voor zich uit. aan hun lichaam fonkelen creaties van de meest veelbelovende eindexamenstudenten aan de Nederlandse en Vlaamse modescholen. Op de achtergrond klinkt dynamische muziek, en lampen, die aan sensoren gekoppeld zijn, gaan ritmisch aan en uit. iJzeren tunnels, gemaakt door Martin Schuurmans, staan verspreid door de ruimte en proberen bezoekers een surrealistisch universum in te lokken. de Mode-belofte 2012 is veel meer dan een belofte alleen.

het is vrijdagavond 18.00 uur. Voor het Klokgebouw verzamelt zich tout Eindhoven, hier en daar aangevuld met plukjes cultureel amsterdam. het voorspel van een wonderlijke avond: de avond dat Paradiso, de VPrO en uitgeverij Podium gaan uitleggen waarom er in amsterdam een evenement komt rondom Eindhoven onder de verrassende titel ‘het wonder van Eindhoven’.dat de directeuren van eerdergenoemde instellingen allemaal uit Eindhoven of de onmiddellijke nabijheid van de Lichtstad afkomstig zijn, is slechts een deel van de verklaring waarom Eindhoven zo wonderbaarlijk is. de rest van de verklaring volgt al snel. behind the curtain, het 360⁰ scherm in het Klokgebouw, proberen de verschillende initiatiefnemers het wonder te verklaren.

Onder hen Lennart van der Meulen (directeur VPrO), die het wellicht het scherpst verwoordt: ‘Eindhoven schept en de wereld volgt. dat is het wonder van Eindhoven. Ook de VPrO is een kind van de Mad Men die hier vorm gaven aan ethergolven en elektriciteit. (…) dank daarvoor, en zegt het voort. want het is payback time. Eindhoven heeft nooit de credits gekregen die het verdient als een van de grondleggers van de moderne informatiemaatschappij. dat is onterecht, maar het is ook onverstandig. want we kunnen veel leren van wat hier is ontwikkeld en wat daarbij goed ging en fout. Eindhoven staat voor de kracht van Nederland en als keerzijde de zwakke plekken. het verpersoonlijkt eigenlijk wat velen

bedoelen als ze het over kenniseconomie hebben of creatieve samenleving. we kunnen leren van het razendsnel opkomen en de teloorgang van de creatieve industrie die hier zo welig tiert, soms verdort en dan weer opbloeit. En dat is razend interessant. want dat zegt iets over Nederland zelf en over hoe we onze toekomst als brainport en infor-matiesamenleving zouden kunnen inrichten.’

behalve Van der Meulen spreken Joost Nijssen en arno Kantelberg (respectievelijk uitgever en schrijver van het te verschijnen boek over het wonder), willem van zeeland, Paradiso-directeur Pierre ballings, en rob van hattum (Nemo Science center/wetenschap24). het nieuws van de dag is natuurlijk dat deelname van Theo Maassen aan het programma definitief is. Vooralsnog lijkt alleen Peter Pan Speedrock te ontbreken. Een wonderlijke omissie. de avond wordt besloten met een optreden van rapper Fresku. Of ‘Fresco’, zoals ballings hem aankondigt. Fresku dankt de directeur van Paradisu hartelijk en doet waar hij goed in is. Tout Eindhoven staat erbij en kijkt ernaar.
