    The Land Surveys Act, 2000________

    TO THE HONOURABLETHE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL

    The undersigned has the honour to report that:1 Section 87 of The Land Surveys Act, 2000, provides as follows:

    87(1) The Lieutenant Governor in Council may, by order,designate the area or areas in Saskatchewan to which this Actapplies.

    (2) For the purposes of an order made pursuant to subsection (1),the Lieutenant Governor in Council may designate areas byreference to the former land registration districts and by usingthe names and boundaries of the former land registrationdistricts.

    (3) The Lieutenant Governor in Council shall cause any ordermade pursuant to subsection (1) to be published in the Gazette.

    (4) On the coming into force of an order made pursuant tosubsection (1), the former Act ceases to apply in the area or areasdesignated in the order.

    2 By Your Honour’s Order 148/2002, dated March 13, 2002, YourHonour did designate the former Saskatoon Area Land RegistrationDistrict and the former Saskatoon Midwest Land Registration Districtas areas in Saskatchewan to which The Land Surveys Act, 2000applies, effective April 22, 2002, and confirmed the former HumboldtLand Registration District as an area in Saskatchewan to which TheLand Surveys Act, 2000 applies, effective March 25, 2002, the formerRegina Area Land Registration District and the formerRegina Southeast Land Registration District as areas inSaskatchewan to which The Land Surveys Act, 2000 applies, effectiveDecember 1, 2001, and the former Moose Jaw Land RegistrationDistrict as an area in Saskatchewan to which The Land SurveysAct, 2000 applies, effective June 25, 2001.

    The undersigned has the honour, therefore, to recommend thatYour Honour’s Order do issue, pursuant to section 87 of The LandSurveys Act, 2000:

    (a) designating the former Battleford Land RegistrationDistrict, as further described in the attached schedule “A”, as anarea of Saskatchewan to which The Land Surveys Act, 2000applies, effective May 25, 2002;

    (b) confirming the former Saskatoon Area Land RegistrationDistrict and the former Saskatoon Midwest Land RegistrationDistrict, as further described in the attached schedule “A”, asareas of Saskatchewan to which The Land Surveys Act, 2000applies, effective April 22, 2002;

    (c) confirming the former Humboldt Land RegistrationDistrict, as further described in the attached schedule “A”, as anarea in Saskatchewan to which The Land Surveys Act, 2000applies, effective March 25, 2002;

    (d) confirming the former Regina Southeast Land RegistrationDistrict and Regina Area Land Registration District, as furtherdescribed in the attached schedule “A”, as areas in Saskatchewanto which The Land Surveys Act, 2000 applies, effectiveDecember 1, 2001; and

    bounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the southboundary of the province with the dividing line between rangestwenty-three and twenty-four west of the second meridian, thencenortherly along the said dividing line between ranges twenty-threeand twenty-four to the point where it is first intersected by the eastshore of Last Mountain Lake, thence northerly along the said eastshore of Last Mountain Lake to the point where it is intersected bythe north boundary of township twenty-six, thence westerly alongthe said north boundary of township twenty-six to the west boundaryof the province, thence southerly along the said west boundary to thepoint where it is intersected by the left bank of the South SaskatchewanRiver, thence easterly and following along the said left bank of theSouth Saskatchewan River to the point where it is last intersected bythe north boundary of township twenty-one, thence easterly alongthe said north boundary of township twenty-one to the dividing linebetween ranges five and six west of the third meridian, thencesoutherly along the said dividing line between ranges five and six tothe south boundary of the province, thence easterly along the saidsouth boundary to the point of commencement.

    Composed of that part of the Province of Saskatchewan that isbounded as follows: Commencing at the intersection of the southboundary of the province with the dividing line between rangestwenty-three and twenty-four, west of the second meridian, thenceeast along the south boundary to the south east corner of theprovince, thence northerly along the east boundary of the province tothe north boundary of township twenty, thence west along the northboundary of township twenty to the dividing line between ranges tenand eleven, west of the second meridian, thence north along saiddividing line to the north boundary of township twenty-six, thencewesterly along the said north boundary of township twenty-six to thepoint where it is first intersected by the east shore of Last MountainLake, thence southerly along the said east shore of Last MountainLake to the point where it is last intersected by the dividing linebetween ranges twenty-three and twenty-four west of the secondmeridian, thence southerly along the said dividing line betweenranges twenty-three and twenty-four to the point of commencement.

Pursuant to section 17.1 of The Oil and GasConservation Act, approval is granted to Viking Petro Corporation todispose of salt water recovered from oilfield production, by injectioninto the Midale Beds through the well to be re-entered on legalsubdivision 9 of Section 31-5-11 W2M, in accordance with plans filedwith the Department as Document No. P.M. 1409 and subject to thefollowing:

    1 Installations shall be subject to the approval of a fieldrepresentative of the Department prior to the commencement of saltwater injection and subsequent to any modifications to suchinstallations.

    2 The wellhead injection pressure shall be limited to a maximumof 13 800 kPa.

    3 All injection volumes shall be metered with a Departmentapproved method.

    4 An application for a well licence shall be submitted and approvedthrough the Department prior to re-entering the well for salt waterdisposal.

    5 The injection packer shall be set within 5 m of the disposalperforations.

    This approval does not authorize the applicant to dispose of saltwater without the consent of all the mineral owners, other than theCrown, that might reasonably be adversely affected by such disposal.
