HistoryBorn in 1992 from the collaboration between Michel Deluc and Bernard Byk, the Amadeus brand was initially thought of as an alternative to the live market

place’s so-called ‘sound reinforcement’ products.

Willing to think about the sound di�erently, rather than just achieving the lou-dest sound pressure level, Amadeus focused on developing architectural, mu-

sical, and technological dimensions in its speaker products to o�er both better sound quality and more functional installation capabilities.

Moved by a desire to create fundamentally di�erent products, both for the live sound, installation, and studio SR markets, Amadeus focused on combining unique acoustical properties, sonic emotions, transparency, and very high timbral precision.

The Company had to �nd the most eloquent brand name to embody these values. Thus the attachment to one of the foremost music composers in history, Amadeus (Mozart).

The Sound AvengersAmadeus’ legitimacy stems from the prestigious legacy gained in the professional audio world over the last 25 years . Our long list of users include many of the greatest sound engi-neers, composers, mixers and producers in France – and throughout the world .

We feel pleased to unite and combine talents around exceptional projects . Such unique col-laborations between professionals with talents, sensitivities and careers – both original and complementary – help us to achieve state-of-the-art designs and product and systems imple-mentations .

Amadeus identified three profiles, able to join the crew : Michel Deluc (France), Marc Piera (France) and Thierry Coduys (Monaco) .

Michel DelucBeginning his foray into studio design way back in 1980, and as co-founder and Director of Research & Development of Amadeus, and then Amadeus Labs in

the ’90s, Michel Deluc has had a huge impact on the history of modern recorded music as we know it – both in terms of the approach to tracking and mixing, and

the sonic performance of modern recordings.

Starting in the ’90s, some of the world’s top producers wouldn’t work in any other space than one designed by Deluc with Amadeus speakers.

Marc PieraA composer, musician and sound engineer, Marc began working in the enter-tainment industry in 1982 : mainly in ballet, theatre, music, within various live

events…

He then followed a special interest in the relationship between a work of art with audio and the way the sound is presented to the audience, sound-wise or musical-

ly. A multi-di�usion adept, Piera actively contributed to the development of louds-peaker systems for French manufacturer A2T.

Piera has completed more than 300 original projects, mainly as a music composer or sound environment designer.

An electro-acoustic composer, Piera rapidly learned how to develop his own instru-ments and computer sound processing tools. He premiered many sound stage pro-

ductions, and completed music or soundtracks for internationally award-winning art animation movies.

Since 2006, Piera has continued to complete consulting missions involving electro-acous-tic multi-di�usion for prestigious French institutions such as Bibliothèque Nationale de

France (National Library of France), National Museum of Natural History, Théâtres de la Car-toucherie, and Théâtre de la Cité Internationale, to name a few.

These experiments led Piera to become a theatre sound director, particularly in prestigious Chaillot National Theater, where he is now Sound Department Manager.

Thierry CoduysArtist, musician, new technology expert, Thierry Coduys specializes in collaborative and multidisciplinary projects where interactivity meets the contemporary arts.

Since 1986, he has worked closely with the avant-garde of contemporary music (e.g. Kar-lheinz Stockhausen, Steve Reich) to realize electro-acoustic and computer systems for live performance and installation. After a few years spent at the Institute for Research and Coor-dination in Acoustics/Music (IRCAM) in Paris as a researcher, he becomes Luciano Berio’s

assistant.

Building on his experience of the contemporary art scene, he created his own organization in 1999, an artistic research and technology centre called ‘La Kitchen’, where artists from a variety of disciplines (e.g music, dance, theatre, video, and a network of artistic collaborators...) can come together and develop projects in collaboration with Coduys’ team.

In 2007, Thierry launched ‘Le Hub’ as he endeavours to carry out his projects within a fresh, �exible and open framework. Le Hub is a platform for re�ection and experimentation as well as the cen-tral piece of a network through which a diversity of artistic, scienti�c and engineering disciplines

are being brought together.

For the past 15 years, Coduys has continued to collaborate with French composer Pascal Dusapin, Italian composer Ivan Fedele, theatre director Jean-François Peyret, as well as Marc Monnet who he

worked with since the 1980s.

He is also member of AFIM’s board of trustees (The French Computer Music Organization), a consul-tant for OSEO (French Governmental Organization for Supporting Innovation), and course director of sound scenography at ENS Louis Lumière (France’s Audio Engineering School).
