The Successful History, of Textile & Apparel in Mauritius
The textile & apparel industry is rightly considered the catalyst of the Mauritian industrial revolution. For the past 4 decades, the textile industry has spearheaded the structural transformation of the Mauritian economy to such an extent that this sector has acted as the engine of economic growth, attracting FDI from various countries, creating new employment opportunities, and strengthening the manufacturing base of the economy.
Evolving from a producer of basics in the 1970’s to a vertically integrated supplier of high value added, design-led garments, the local textile industry is today geared to face challenges of a liberalized market place by providing flexible solutions adapted to the exact needs of buyers from the world over.
The local textile landscape is made up of a diversified base of manufacturers able to cater for the needs of a wide spectrum of buyers with a wide range of options in terms of price points, volumes and runs.

Company BriefFairy Textiles Ltd is an apparel manufacturing company established in 1986. The company manufactures mostly for the export markets. We deal multi style ranging from Fancy to classical garments. The company has come a long way during the past years, it has invested massively in new technology to upgrade its products and processes and meet the exigencies of the customers.
Our strength is that we create styling as per clients requirements. We have two different line of production, one for heavy and medium duty garment and the other one for light and extra light duty garments.
We have our in house embroidery section with 4 machine totalling 52 heads and our own washing plant doing Reactive dyeing, cold pigment, enzyme wash and other denim wash. We also do dry process on denim fabric.
