SECTION 1 - WELCOME TO THE GELMOMENT FAMILY

GETTING STARTED WITH YOUR GELMOMENT BUSINESS Welcome to GelMoment; the One-Step Gel Nail Polish Direct Sales brand for women on the go who want beautiful nails! We want to congratulate you on joining our family and for taking the initiative to launch your own GelMoment Business. The GelMoment Distributor model is home-based, which gives you the ability to create a business that works with your lifestyle. GelMoment products are meant to be sold from person-to-person and are not to be sold in a retail environment except for independently owned hair salons and spas that are not part of a franchise. Our Compensation Plan gives you the opportunity to generate income, based on your lifestyle. You can choose to be a high-net-earner, or just look at GelMoment as an opportunity to supplement an existing income. Read through this Training Manual and familiarize yourself with all you need to know about GelMoment.

MEET THE FOUNDER Dov Grossnass

Ever the entrepreneur, Dov was always working on new ideas and concepts. In 2000, he founded one of the first

online coupon companies ever. After selling this company a couple of years later, he founded and ran a non-profit

school for underprivileged children for ten years.

During this time, he began getting involved with cosmetics, including developing and patenting an award winning

new concept for mascara. Color polish and skin care became his focus and together with his team at the lab, he

spent a number of years working on the GelMoment One-Step Gel Nail Polish concept.

After all this time and effort, it is very exciting to watch GelMoment grow to its present state. Without a doubt, this

has become a labor of love. Originally from London, UK and currently living in Montreal, Dov is married and is the

proud father of six children.

OUR PRODUCT

GelMoment prides itself on providing the highest quality, unique and growing range of products for hands, nails

and feet. GelMoment has created a competitive niche in an otherwise saturated nail polish market.

Our flagship product offers a “DIY One-Step Gel Polish Application” that does not require a base coat or top coat,

cures in 45 or 60 seconds with one of our LED lamps, and lasts up to 14 days, depending on your nail type.

Our European-made Gel Polishes are:

Solvent-free

Lead-free

Latex-free

Non-toxic

Vegan-friendly

Gluten-free

Not tested on animals and do not contain animal by-products.

5-FREE – NO Formaldehyde, NO Dibutyl phthalate, NO Toluene, NO Formaldehyde resin, NO Camphor

We offer a large selection of gorgeous colors to choose from and an easy removal system that is non-damaging to

your natural nails, allowing for an easy color change as often as you like.

Our Gel Polish is safe to use on children, with proper supervision. Our made to measure accessories were

developed to ensure the proper application and removal processes, when used together with our Gel Polish.

HOW TO APPLY 1. Nails should be smooth; if necessary, use a GelMoment Nail File

2. Buff the nail surface well, including the corners. Only buff, but do not polish or shine.

The objective is to remove any natural oil present at the surface of the nail, as they can inhibit the adhesion of the gel polish.

3. Wipe the nail clean with GelMoment Nail Cleansers. Make sure the nail is clean and dry before applying the

polish.

4. Before applying, gently roll the bottle between the palms of your hands. Heavy shaking can produce air bubbles.

Page 13: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

13

5. Apply a Gel Polish color of your choice. Be careful not to get any polish on your skin or cuticles, as this can cause the polish to peel easily. For best results, apply the Gel Polish over your nail tips too.

6. Cure under a GelMoment LED Lamp, until the lamp switches off automatically. If you are using Matter’R Effect Top Coat, after the above steps, apply a thin coat over any color and cure using one of GelMoment’s LED Lamps.

EXTRA APPLICATION TIPS, TO KEEP YOUR MANICURE LOOKING BEAUTIFUL:

When applying our Gel Polish, start with one thin coat. Thick coats will not cure properly. They will be

wet underneath the surface, causing bubbles or peeling.

One coat is usually enough. For more than one coat, cure in-between coats with one of our LED Lamps.

Avoid getting the Gel Polish on the cuticles; it can cause the Gel Polish to peel.

Apply the Gel Polish over the nail tips as well, to help seal and “cap” the nail tips.

Cure one or two fingers at a time when using the 2-Finger LED Lamp, for proper light distribution.

Use our Professional 4-Finger LED Lamp to cure up to 4 nails at once. This LED Lamp is meant for professional use. Polish that is not placed under the LED Lamps quickly after the application can start receding due to the exposure to natural light, table lamps etc.

IMPORTANT: GelMoment Gel polish is light sensitive and will harden quickly if exposed to natural light or used outdoors. Do not leave the bottle open and ensure it does not come in contact with the LED Lamp. For outdoor event, use a tent with UV protective material and ensure the tent has 3 sides covered.

HOW TO REMOVE To remove the Gel Polish, simply use GelMoment Remover Pads.

1. Tear across the dotted line and place your nail inside the pouch, underneath the moist pad.

2. Remove the protective plastic strip on the outer side of the pouch to reveal the sticky tape below. This

facilitates the ability to tightly wrap the pouch around the nail.

3. Leave inside between 5-10 minutes (depending on your nail type) and remove.

4. Use the GelMoment Cuticle Pusher to eliminate remaining residue.

For best results, use in conjunction with our GelMoment Remover Clips; an accessory that enhances the removal

process.

HOW TO VIDEOS Please view our “How to” videos on the GelMoment website to see how simple the application and removal

process really is. Invite your customers soon after they have made a purchase, to view the application and removal

videos on your website.

BEING SUCCESSFUL WITH YOUR GELMOMENT BUSINESS As an Independent Distributor, you have the liberty of controlling and determining your own success. We will

provide you with the necessary tools to get you started and offer you continuous training, but the rest is up to you.

Your GelMoment business offers you an amazing potential for personal development, financial security and the

the result of consistent activity and dedication over time. “Doing things right” will ensure success.

PROFILE OF A SUCCESSFUL GELMOMENT ENTREPRENEUR

Is EXCITED and PASSIONATE about the GelMoment experience and Business Opportunity

Show passion for your business and why you love GelMoment

Be an Ambassador for GelMoment, after all you are a Distributor and you want your customers to know

how proud you are!

Never show negativity towards GelMoment to your customers or in public as you are just hurting your own

business. All issues can be resolved, just contact our support team at: [email protected].

Enthusiastically shares the GelMoment Business Opportunity with others

Let your enthusiasm be contagious; let them feel your excitement when you talk about your business and

the products you are selling.

Share your “Why”. People need to relate to you to feel your enthusiasm.

Know what you are talking about. Be prepared for questions and if you don’t know the answers, promise to

get back to them, but keep that promise!

Share it like you mean it! Do it in the same way you would brag about your kids

Take the Business seriously. It’s lots of fun, but it’s still a business!

It’s great making friends and spending time browsing Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms

to get updates, but are you being productive? Can you say that you have accomplished something that

contributes to the growth of your business for having spent that hour or more online each day?

That adage that time is money is relevant here because you are starting up and need to get organized

properly and spread the word to anyone who will listen. You are now selling a fabulous product and you

have an amazing Business Opportunity to offer.

You are in FULL control at this point. You really “do” decide how to spend your time, so make it count!

Page 18: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

18

Be an effective “Boss” for yourself. Ask yourself, “Would I hire me?”

This is one of the toughest things to do: evaluate ourselves objectively.

Try to make an appointment with yourself and do an evaluation once a month, like an after-action plan.

Have you been productive?

Can you change something that would make you more effective and more productive?

Are you putting in the effort that your business needs and deserves?

Sometimes it’s tough being honest with ourselves, but it’s necessary and could be the difference between

success and failure. Nobody else will do this for you; it’s you all the way!

Schedules their work hours and works as if they were going to a real job

Whether it’s one hour a day or 5 hours a day, the choice is yours; you just have to show up for work!

You are responsible for your productivity. It is best to plan your days in advance to ensure effectiveness.

Take some time on Sunday evening or whenever is convenient for you and make yourself a wish list. Write

down the task you want to accomplish the coming week that will help you grow your business. If you are a

beginner to the business, get those things done as quickly as possible.

Perhaps you need to order Business Cards, open a Facebook page, make a list of absolutely everyone you

know, so that you can start calling upon people to tell them about your new business.

The important thing is scheduling your time, no matter how little you have for now. Show up consistently

and be productive. Accomplish something, no matter how small, every single day that you have scheduled

yourself to work. Baby steps are better than no steps!

Books at least 6 GelMoment Parties each month

Starting a business may seem overwhelming at first, but you can strive to be more successful.

Your 100 List of people you know, is a great place to start and will be very useful for booking Parties.

Make it your policy that you will reward a Hostess, when her Guests book a future Party.

Book early and fill up your calendar, as soon as you begin your Business.

Offer future Hostesses some free gifts. Whatever you decide to give away is a tax deduction and investment

into your business.

Page 19: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

19

Coaches Hostesses to secure at least 15 Guests per Party

Show your Hostesses the products beforehand, so that she will be excited about them and want to invite as

many friends as possible, to increase her chances of getting her products for free. Also, offer her a free

manicure as part of her Hostess gift, if that is something that you do. If not, lend her the products, so that

she can do her own nails for the Party.

Explain to your Hostess how the Hostess Rewards Program is based on sales and she will want to invite

more people to attend. You are encouraged to add extra gifts, if your Hostess does a great job!

Give her a surprise gift, when possible, but present it to her in front of her Guests.

Prepare a nice, little goody bag for each Guest which contains a mini-file, a toe separator, instructions on

how to apply the Gel Polish, your Business Card and a raffle form to fill out for a FREE Gel Polish (or prize of

your choice) to be won at the end of the Party.

Consider adding a theme to the Party, to make it more fun. Something like a 60’s night where everyone can

dress up accordingly could just be what you need to bring the fun to the Party.

Hold a Fundraiser for your Hostess’ favorite cause.

The idea is to make the Party more interesting so more people will want to attend.

Books at least one GelMoment Party at every home Party

Keeping Party Guests engaged is a good way to keep the Party going. Your Guests will want to have a Party

for a chance to earn free products. If they had a fun and memorable experience at your Party, they are

more likely to book with you and you need this to help fill up your Party calendar.

Try a game to help you get future bookings. Here is a sample game:

a) Get a deck of playing cards and keep them with you during the Party. The goal is to give out the whole

deck of cards to Guests who answer questions.

b) Ask each person to introduce themselves. They must say how they met or know the Hostess, which

gives you the opportunity to distribute at least one card to each Guest.

c) Ask everyone if they have ever heard of GelMoment. Give two cards to those who answer that they

have, and one to those who haven’t.

d) Ask if anyone wants to hold a GelMoment Party within thirty days, and give them five cards if they pick

a date on the spot.

e) Continue asking questions until the entire deck is distributed.

f) Call out a random card and whoever has it, wins a prize.

These types of activities go a long way in making your Party a success and you will surely get bookings for

future Parties.

You still need to be active and make your own personal sales, but your team is going to make your earnings

grow to a whole new level.

Recruit people who you believe have what it takes and the motivation to make their business successful.

You need to mentor and train your recruits, because their success ensures your success.

Be confident and inspiring when you share and promote the GelMoment Business Opportunity. Here is

where your “WHY” becomes one of your biggest selling tools.

Offers coaching and training to her new recruits

Do what you can to make your new recruits feel welcome when they join. Congratulate them for joining

your Facebook group, if you have one. (You should have one if you have at least 1 team member, so she

can start adding her team members as well.)

Keep in touch at least once a week to see how they are doing with their Business and to see if they need

any assistance for the first month. After that, bi-weekly or monthly follow-ups are great.

Make sure that they have the same tools that you have at your disposal, such as the GelMoment Training

Manual and the membership to all the Corporate Facebook groups.

Encourage them to have social media accounts; it is a great way to reach a lot of people at no cost.

Try a one-on-one coaching call once a week to answer their questions. Clarifying things early will avoid the

spread of incorrect information that could lead to lost sales or negatively influencing a potential recruit

from joining.

Remember that this person chose you as a Sponsor, so give them your attention to help them get started.

Sets goals to earn company set incentives and promotions

No matter how difficult, try your absolute best to enter company or team sales spiffs or promotions. It

promotes healthy competition and it also gives you some good bargains in the process.

If you cannot participate in one of your company incentives, promote it to your team members.

Monitor your back-office to see your monthly progress, so you never miss out on being promoted to the

next rank. Sometimes, just a few sales are missing, so plan your Parties early in the month as much as

possible and have a plan B for those months that need an extra push to make it to your goals.

Give praise and encouragement to your team members when they accomplish their goals and when they

advance to the next rank or hit a new milestone.

Page 21: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

21

Attends group meetings with their up-line

Not every upline has team meetings unfortunately, but if they do, make it one of your top priorities to

attend.

If group meetings in person are not possible due to Distributors residing in different locations, ask them to

host a conference call or team events on social media, so it can be accessible to everyone.

You should do the same for your own team. It’s effective for team building and helping your teams grow

their businesses. Remember, their success is also your success!

Adheres to GelMoment’s Independent Distributor’s Policies

Like every other Direct Sales company, GelMoment has Policies and Procedures that are necessary and

must be followed.

It’s not always clear to a Distributor why a specific policy is implemented by the company but policies are

necessary to protect the integrity of each Distributor as well as GelMoment and most often are required by

law.

Read them from time to time for any updates or changes and encourage your team members to do the

same.

Adhering to the policies is good business practice, while ensuring fairness for everyone.

Attends GelMoment’s Annual Convention

One of the best investments you can make for your business is to attend your company’s annual

convention or on-the-road training opportunities.

You will gain valuable information through workshops and the motivational speakers will help enhance your

business perception, all while receiving beautiful gifts in the process.

Be one of the first to see what’s coming and what plans GelMoment has for your future!

Encourage your team members to attend. This is a great opportunity for teams to get together if they live

in different cities. Arrange activities with your team members when possible, that you can do before or

after the convention or gathering.

Page 22: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

22

“WHAT DO YOU DO?”

If your answer to this question is, “I sell GelMoment products,” you are only sharing a small portion of what you

have to offer and missing opportunities. Your answer should be: “I offer three services! I have amazing GelMoment

products for you to purchase, free products for Hostesses and a life-changing Business Opportunity for

entrepreneurs that are interested in a ground floor opportunity with a low start-up cost.”

Your role as a GelMoment Distributor is to offer your services and let the person decide if it is something that

interests them. Your role is NOT to decide who will be interested in the services you have to offer.

Home Parties are the best place to meet new Prospects that will be interested in your services. With our Party

model, it’s easy. We suggest you charge a fee for your Guests to use your products to do their nails. If they

purchase, you deduct that fee from their purchase. Either way, you’ll make money! $10 usually works well.

GETTING ORGANIZED Everyone is busy. Whether it’s your job, your children or if you are caring for an elderly parent, every minute

counts when you are running a business. Managing time and organizing tasks can be challenging, so here are some

tips on how to make the most of your time.

Block time for your business. Decide on the hours you want to work your GelMoment business and “report to

work” just as you would for any job.

Manage your time. Take advantage of small pockets of time during the day when you are suddenly free to make

phone calls, follow-ups or to book your Parties. Make phone calls while you are waiting for an appointment in the

waiting room at the doctor’s office etc. A few minutes here and there can really make a difference in accomplishing

your goals over time.

Commit to making FIVE Business contacts EVERY day! Five contacts a day = 25 contacts every week = 100 contacts

every month = a growing business, guaranteed!

Create a work space. Having a designated work space, whether simple or sophisticated, saves lots of time.

Organize your paperwork. Creating an efficient and organized workspace saves you time and makes it easy to track

customer orders, profiles and keep track of promotions, sales, earnings and expenses.

Business Materials. Always have business cards readily available to hand out to your customers and prospects.

Record a professional message on your answering machine. Prospects and customers will appreciate your

professionalism when getting in touch with you or sending a referral your way.

Be consistent. Be consistent in offering the GelMoment Business Opportunity to everyone you meet and

showcasing the products as well. Your customer base will increase along with your team and your sales volume.

Be patient. Build relationships and over time those relationships will turn into loyal customers, Party Hostesses and

new team members.

Believe! Believe in your products, the company, your business and most importantly, yourself!

BEST PRACTICES FOR GELMOMENT DISTRIBUTORS “Best Practices” is a term used in every profession to describe the various techniques that work best in each

situation. In Direct Sales, these “Best Practices” listed below will allow you to offer professional customer service to

your target audience.

Best Practices When Recruiting

Offer the GelMoment Business Opportunity without prejudging.

Understand your Prospect’s needs by asking qualifying open-ended questions.

If someone asks you about the GelMoment Business Opportunity, ask them who introduced it to them and respect

the Sponsor/Recruit relationship.

Meeting a Prospect or offering information to a Prospect does not give you ownership of that person. Every

Prospect has the right to choose the Sponsor of their choice.

Keep your word and follow-up with a Prospect when you said you would. If you cannot make the pre-determined

appointment, advise them and reschedule immediately.

Best Practices When Selling GelMoment Products

Know your products and their benefits.

Inform your customers of the benefits that GelMoment products have to offer.

Provide your customers with instructions on how to apply and remove the Gel polish.

Keep some inventory on hand to ensure prompt delivery for customers who want products immediately.

Enter your order quickly and don’t keep your customers waiting.

Deliver products when you promised you will.

Offer the Business Opportunity to those who purchase large quantities. They can benefit from purchasing products

at wholesale prices and perhaps starting up a Business too.

Provide excellent customer service by keeping them informed when new products become available.

Wear the products that you sell! No one wants to buy something you don’t use yourself.

Best Practices for Working with Your New Recruits

Be available for your recruits.

Offer training, coaching and mentoring to help them succeed.

If they are local, go with them to their first Party and show them how to host a successful Party.

Model the behavior you want to see in your recruits.

Encourage your new recruits to book at least six Parties in their first month.

Show them a system that can be easily duplicated.

Empower your recruits to feel capable of offering GelMoment products and the Business Opportunity to others

without you.

Speak with your new recruits regularly and offer conference calling or other means of virtual connections.

Offer to help them with their first recruit if they are still new to the business.

Best Practices for Participation

Stay positive and represent the company using the highest standards of customer service.

Offer help to other Distributors, even if they are in different teams.

Page 24: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

24

Share Marketing Materials or training documents with others.

Share your success story and empower others to succeed as well.

Stay free from negative people and those not serious about their business.

Attend GelMoment’s Annual Convention.

Best Practices for Leaders

Lead by example and be the Distributor that you would like to sponsor.

Strive to achieve the highest paying rank. Anything less is lost revenue and a poor example for your team.

Keep things simple. Your recruits should be able to duplicate what you are doing and copy your actions.

Be accountable for your actions. If you do not mentor, don’t blame your recruits for being demotivated.

Identify your performers and work with them to form a solid foundation for your team; they deserve your time.

Set priorities and do the most important things first.

Evaluate priorities regularly and make conscious decisions about what to say “Yes” to.

Leaders are people who have acquired self-confidence through their own – skills, beliefs, talents and shortcomings.

Self-confidence develops as one builds on strengths and overcomes weaknesses. Those who become leaders have

taken advantage of the broadest possible range of opportunities and allowed themselves to stretch beyond their

comfort zones. They try, sometimes fail, learn from their mistakes and keep trying. Ultimately leadership

development is a process of self-discovery and practice. Engineers have their computers, accountants have their

calculators and Leaders have themselves; they are their own instrument.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A LEADER: A Leader’s WHY propels her to action.

Leaders are relationship builders.

Leaders work together with their recruits to help them succeed.

Leaders are well informed about company incentives and use them to inspire action.

Leaders prospect all the time to fuel business growth.

Leaders are flexible and adapt to business dynamic changes.

Leaders lead by example with a positive attitude.

Leaders does not tolerated negativity in team pages.

Leaders are enthusiastic and share that enthusiasm with everyone!

Successful leaders realize that Distributors join for different reasons. Some are looking for full time employment,

and others are just looking for something to do in their spare time, with little commitment. Because not everyone

sticks to the business forever, successful leaders consistently prospect new Distributors for long-term success.

BEHAVIORAL PROFILE OF A LEADER

Goal Oriented, Competitive, Determined, Self-Reliant, Decisive, Confident, Enthusiastic, Outgoing, Makes friends

easily, Supportive, Dependable, Works well under pressure, A listener, Organized, Conscientious, A planner, Time-

disciplined, Diplomatic, Finds creative solutions.

SECTION 4 - EVERYTHING ON PROSPECTING

WHAT IS PROSPECTING? Prospecting is seeking out those who are interested in what you have to offer.

You have something valuable to offer. Your job is to seek out those that will say “YES” to one or more of the three

services you have to offer.

1. Fabulous and unique GelMoment products to purchase.

2. Free products for your Hostesses.

3. A life-changing Business Opportunity for your future team members. Listening and conversational skills are one of your most important prospecting tools. Active listening and asking open-ended questions will enable you to match your Prospect’s needs to the benefits that being a GelMoment Distributor brings.

WHO ARE YOUR PROSPECTS? Everyone! Take a fresh look at everyone in your “Who do you know” list. Don’t prejudge and decide for someone

else what you think is right for them. Offer the benefits of the GelMoment Business Opportunity to everyone and

let them make the final decision; you may be surprised at who shows interest and who does not.

People you haven’t even met yet are everywhere and could be your potential next recruit. Become a pro at starting

conversations. Don’t necessarily go out with the intention to recruit. Just smile at people you meet. Once you

begin to build rapport with someone, they will be interested in what you do and will ask you for more information.

Take this opportunity to tell them about GelMoment and the benefits it has brought to you, instead of trying to sell

them something.

Your Hostesses are people you should target for joining. After all, they liked you and the products enough to invite

you into their homes. You should also target Guests who had a lot of fun at your Parties; they already enjoy this

type of environment.

Your Prospects are basically everyone you meet that would be interested in purchasing what you have to offer,

hosting a Party, exploring the Business Opportunity, or referring you to someone they know that would be

interested in your services. Here are some ideas and tips to help you get started.

People You Know

The first step in finding your Prospects is by filling out the “100 People to Kick off Your Business” form. If you are

feeling nervous about calling anyone you put down on this list, remember the excitement you felt the first time you

tried our GelMoment Gel polish. Don’t wait until you feel like an expert, and more importantly, don’t prejudge how

you think your Prospects will react, let them surprise you. Stretch your comfort zone and let your enthusiasm and

excitement for your new business lead the way.

Book at least one Party from each “social circle” you identified in your 100 list. By booking into different social

circles, you will expand your business to people you haven’t even met yet.

Page 27: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

27

If you are worried about people saying “No”, get used to it, it will happen a lot. If you are not hearing “No”

ENOUGH, it means you haven’t asked ENOUGH people. Remember that “No” does not mean “Never”. If they tell

you that now is not the right time for them, simply add their names to your follow-up list and follow up later.

Typically, most people are skeptical and require some proof of success before committing to something new. These

people will be watching you and when they see that you are successful with your GelMoment Business, they will be

interested in your services. Prioritizing your list and managing your time well, will play a huge part in your success.

This Training Manual will show you different ways to do so, but applying the methods becomes your responsibility.

Remember, you are responsible for your own success or lack of it.

People You Will Meet

The best Prospects for your business are the people you haven’t met yet. Smile at everyone you meet, open a

conversation by paying a compliment about their nails. This is a great way to make new contacts, without pressure

of having to book a Party every time. Begin by creating rapport with people and building relationships. If you make

a connection, don’t forget to exchange contact information, you will need it for the follow-up.

People at Your Home Parties

Parties most often are the best place to meet new people to add to your follow up list. Your Hostess will invite

Guests from their “social circle” and those who were interested enough to say “Yes.” They said yes because they

are interested in learning more about your products and/or just like to get together with friends. Don’t prejudge

anyone you meet at a Party; offer everyone the opportunity to say “YES” to one of the three services you have to

offer. This approach widens your chance of booking future Parties and recruiting Prospects.

Referrals

Everyone knows someone who will be interested in what you have to offer, you just have to ask them! Asking for

referrals is a great habit to create; it will give you access to other people’s “social circles”.

Write down 10 places you go where you could start conversations.

1. _____________________________________________________

2. _____________________________________________________

3. _____________________________________________________

4. _____________________________________________________

5. _____________________________________________________

6. _____________________________________________________

7. _____________________________________________________

8. _____________________________________________________

9. _____________________________________________________

10. ____________________________________________________

Page 28: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

28

CONVERSATION STARTER TIPS Compliment others, it goes a long way! Say something like “You have such beautiful nails, what products do you

use?” “GelMoment has fabulous and inexpensive nail products, have you ever heard of GelMoment? “This will give

you a chance to open a conversation with your Prospect. Make sure to take down their contact information for

your follow-up!

Keep a monthly log of all the follow-ups you do. Keep track of the results from your follow-up calls and what you

need to do next. When a Prospect says, “Call me later,” ask them when it would be convenient for you to call, so

that they will expect to hear from you, and you will look professional for having listened and respected their

request. By adding people to your Prospect list by the date they request a follow-up call, when the next month

comes along, you will already have a list of contacts waiting to hear from you. Create trust and loyalty by following

up when you said you would.

Watch for “Green Flags”!

A green flag is a “Yes, I am interested” signal. It is a verbal or non-verbal cue that a person is interested in receiving

more information on what you have to offer. Pay attention to the negative “Red Flags” as well and challenge

yourself to overturn those to a positive. “I could NEVER do what you do” could just be a misconception where

someone is under the impression that a huge investment is involved after viewing your setup. Pay attention to the

quiet observers or those just interested in looking through your catalog and not trying the products. They may just

need more information before getting involved.

KEEP TRACK OF ALL YOUR PROSPECTS Having an organized method of keeping track of Prospects is an important part of your future success. Whether

you choose a sophisticated, high-tech system on your computer or a low-tech (notebook, binder or an index

system), the point is that it is imperative to keep one. Decide on which method best suits you and be sure to

include the following:

Full name, phone number, email address.

Ask them when is the best time for you to call.

When and where you met.

Brief notes about the contact; color preference, things they told you about work, family etc.

Follow- up date.

Keeping Track for Future Growth

Today’s Prospects are tomorrow’s business, so therefore it is imperative to keep track and follow-up all the time,

without exception. The contacts you make and relationships you build now will become the customers, Party

Hostesses and business partners in your future.

If you do an event and do not follow-up with all the contacts you collected, then you wasted your time. For best

results, follow-ups must be done within 3 days following a Party or event, unless the person gave you a specific

time to contact them.

Page 29: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

29

100 PEOPLE TO HELP YOU KICK OFF YOUR BUSINESS It may seem overwhelming at first, but with the right tools, it’s simple. Fill out this list and see where it takes you.

You will find people here that you haven’t even thought of asking to help you get started. There may be people

whom you may not have seen in a while and this would be the perfect opportunity to connect and catch up with

them. Now you have filled out the list and are probably thinking “Now what?” Now you get started! Get on the

phone or on your computer and reach out to them. Not sure what to say? Invite them to your FB group if they

aren’t already part of it. This is a great way to introduce them to your new business. They will see the interaction in

your group, want to get involved and try the products! Encourage your customers to post pictures and write about

how they love the product. Important: Invite EVERYONE, do not pre-judge, you might be surprised!

BEGIN PROSPECTING Now you know who to Prospect, where to find them and what to do, so get started right away. Everyone has the

most valuable tool required to start the process, it’s a phone! Your phone is a time-saving tool that enables instant

contact with people, whether they live next door or miles away. Here are some proactive tips on how to use your

phone to help you build your business.

Prospect Customers, Party Hostesses and Future Business Partners.

Schedule Parties.

Schedule Follow-Up appointments and meetings.

Sell products and collect orders.

Make your follow-up customer care calls.

Coach your new team members.

And much more….

The first calls may seem difficult, but you will soon get comfortable with what to say and how to say it. By doing the

“21 Days of Prospecting” challenge, you will gain a great deal of experience quickly. Here are a few tips for getting

to that comfort zone while making your calls:

Smile while speaking on the phone, your smile will come through in your voice.

Have your notes handy and use them. Your attention to the person’s details and preferences will go a long way.

Have your schedule ready for booking your next call if a second follow-up is necessary.

Be respectful. Introduce yourself and ask “Do you have a moment to speak?” or “Is now a good time?”

Remind them that they agreed to the follow-up, “I had a note to call you today…”

Create a sense of urgency, whether your calendar is full or empty. “I still have a few dates open for Parties and I

thought of you!” Offer the closest dates you have available first to avoid having an empty week. “I have _____ and

_____ available. Will either of those dates work for you?”

Call when you promised you would and keep track in your Prospect Follow-Up Log.

joining your team and your business. You will advance quickly through the ranks and earn rewards and recognition

PROSPECTING THROUGH ADVERTISING Thomas Smith, a successful London businessman, wrote a guide called Successful Advertising in 1885. His

recommendations regarding advertising frequency are still being cited today.

The first-time people look at any given ad, they don't even see it.

The second time, they don't notice it.

The third time, they are aware that it is there.

The fourth time, they have a fleeting sense that they've seen it somewhere before.

The fifth time, they actually read the ad.

The sixth time they thumb their nose at it.

The seventh time, they start to get a little irritated with it.

The eighth time, they start to think, "Here's that confounded ad again."

The ninth time, they start to wonder if they're missing out on something.

The tenth time, they ask their friends and neighbors if they've tried it.

The eleventh time, they wonder how the company is paying for all these ads.

The twelfth time, they start to think that it must be a good product.

The thirteenth time, they start to feel the product has value.

The fourteenth time, they start to remember wanting a product exactly like this for a long time.

The fifteenth time, they start to yearn for it because they can't afford to buy it.

The sixteenth time, they accept the fact that they will buy it sometime in the future.

The seventeenth time, they make a note to buy the product.

The eighteenth time, they curse their poverty for not allowing them to buy this terrific product.

The nineteenth time, they count their money very carefully.

The twentieth-time prospects see the ad, they buy what is offering.

Don’t give up if you feel like your posts are going unnoticed!

SECTION 5 - RECRUITING AND BUILDING A TEAM

THE BENEFITS OF A STRONG TEAM If you truly love what you are doing, then why not share the love with everyone you meet! Recruiting is the way to

build a team and increase your earnings through residual income and other generous bonuses that GelMoment’s

Compensation Plan has to offer.

In Direct Sales, residual income is the bulk of your earnings. The key to earning residual income and financial

success is by building a strong team. It’s ultimately the foundation of a successful business.

When you begin your business in Direct Sales, you should focus on booking Parties. These Parties will bring you

sales and expand your customer list which in turn will grow your business and get people talking to each other

people about the product. Product exposure is imperative at the launch of a new company. The success of the

company’s future and yours depends on it. As you speak to people about your business and they start joining your

team, you will need to train them to do the same thing that you are doing. If the chain is broken down the line and

people don’t have anyone to turn to for training, coaching, motivation and support, they will get discouraged and

drop out.

Not everyone has experience in Network Marketing and Direct Sales, so here are a few tips that will help you get

started. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results in the first week or even the first month, sometimes it could

take some time to take off. The only thing that is for sure is that you must work hard if you want to see big results

but once you get a momentum going, the sky is the limit!

BUILDING A TEAM #1 Knowing and Understanding your Target Market

Although the products are amazing and you love them, starting up a business is not for every single person you

know or meet. It’s okay to offer it to everyone, but don’t get disappointed with all the “No’s” you will get, that’s

part of the game. To start off, you should target people that are looking for extra income, people wanting to work

from home and people that would be interested in your company. Find THOSE people and start marketing Direct

Sales information to them first. They are probably the most likely to be interested in what you have to offer. Once

you have a decent amount of people that have joined your team, it’s easier to sell the idea to the rest because now

you will have numbers to show them. This does not mean that you cannot offer the opportunity to your customers,

it just means that when you are looking for recruits, look in the right places to get your business going strong as

quickly as possible.

#2 Time Management

Don’t spend all your time with a single potential recruit. It is important to build relationships with people and to be

available for questions and coaching; you should not spend all your time focusing on getting one person to join your

team. If they need that much convincing, they will not stick with the business and you probably missed out on a

bunch of other people that were interested.

#3 Keeping it Simple

If you make it too complicated, people will walk away feeling like they cannot do what you are doing and decide not

to join, so keep it simple. Give them the information that they need to get started but do not overwhelm them.

Create a webpage or group on social media where up-to-date information is easily accessible. They can come to you

for additional inquiries.

#4 Have the Right Goals in Mind

Building a successful team will benefit you, but simply finding people to plug in holes so you can move up to the

next level will most certainly end up in failure and disappointment for you, as well as for them. That mindset

means that you are only focused on recruiting and not on training. You don’t want your opportunity presentation

to sound just like another sales pitch. Instead of focusing on what your potential recruits will do for you, focus on

how the business can change THEIR lives and you might get a more positive response. Recruiting for the simple

reason of filling spots will results in just as many empty spots down the line when they quit or become inactive. Go

after the people that want it as much as you want it.

#5 Building Relationships

Don’t forget that your potential recruits are people and not numbers or dollar signs. Get to know who they are and

what their goals are. Find out if they have children, if they work, if they enjoy what they are doing or if they are

looking for something new to do. Find out if the idea of working from home and making their own hours interests

them. If you need help in determining how to get them to their goals, ask your upline for help. You don’t have to

necessarily offer the opportunity the first time you meet someone. Once a relationship is established, people will

want to know what you are doing and how they can be a part of it.

SECTION 6 - THE GELMOMENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

WHAT DOES THE GELMOMENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY HAVE TO OFFER? The GelMoment Business opportunity allows you to run your own business and pursue your own income. You can

set your own hours, work completely at home or on the road; the choice is yours. You manage your own schedule

and you are your own boss. The earning potential is determined by you and the amount of time that you dedicate

to your business. GelMoment does not automatically auto-ship products to you at any time, so you will never be

stuck with tones of inventory. GelMoment does not force you to purchase products every month; you are only

required to spend $2001 of Retail products every rolling 3 months to maintain your account! If you are actively

working at your business, this minimum is easily achieved. When you enroll as a GelMoment Distributor, you will

receive a package containing an assortment of products and Marketing Materials that will help you begin your

business! This is all of course in addition to the amazing products that you will represent as a GelMoment

Distributor.

WHY SHARE THE GELMOMENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

There are many reasons to share the GelMoment Business Opportunity with others. The best reason is that

everyone deserves the opportunity to be part of something unique, amazing and empowering. Make it your job to

tell everyone about it. When you recruit someone, you are sharing a Business Opportunity with them and making

new friendships, building relationships and introducing them to the financial rewards that come with being a

GelMoment Distributor.

Lots of people would love to have a home-based business like yours. They are just waiting for someone like you to

tell them about it! Everyone deserves the opportunity to make their own decisions on whether the business is right

for them, so offer it to everyone and let them decide.

HOW TO PRESENT THE GELMOMENT BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

There is no specific way to approach someone when presenting the GelMoment Business Opportunity. You must

find a method that works best for you and figure out what you are comfortable saying when you speak to someone.

Here are some approaches that you can try:

The Direct Approach: Key Phrase “Thinking of you”

“Hi! I recently started a new business. I absolutely love it and I thought of you. I think that it would be amazing if

we worked together since we get along so well. When can we get together so I can tell you all about it?”

The Opinion Approach: Key Phrase “I value your opinion”

I really value your opinion and I would love it if I can run something by you. I recently started my own business and

I would like to tell you about it and find out what you think. Can we get together so I can tell you about it?

The Third-Party Approach: Key Phrase “Who do you know?”

“I have recently started a new business and I was wondering if you could help me. Who do you know that has

mentioned being interested in starting their own home-based business or likes having Parties?”

1 $200 of Retail Personal Sales Volume for Distributors in Canada and the USA. The amount required is $220 for Australia, and £180 for the UK.

Page 41: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

41

Approaching your “Warmest Market.” Key Phrase: “Can I practice on you?”

“I need your help. I am building my new business and I know that you care about my success. I really need to

perfect my presentation and would love it if I could practice it on you. When can we meet up?”

Whatever approach you choose, remember to be excited about what you are doing. Nothing beats genuine

enthusiasm for drawing Prospects to you.

TELL EVERYONE ABOUT YOUR “WHY”

Why you decided to join.

Why your life is better since you became a GelMoment Distributor.

Why you recommend GelMoment products and the Business Opportunity to others.

Your accomplishments since you joined.

SIGNS THAT SOMEONE IS INTERESTED People are interested in your business. Learn to recognize the signs and respond to them. Here are some questions

that people who are interested may ask you:

“How many Parties do you have every week?”

“How did you get involved in this business?”

“Did you invest a lot of money to buy all your products?”

“I could never sell anything”

“Do you actually make a lot of money doing this?”

“How easy is it to book Parties?”

“How many Distributors are in your area?”

“How long have you been doing this?”

“Is this your fulltime job?”

The goal is to pick up on these hints and react, provide information and make an appointment to follow-up as soon

as possible. Here are some things you could say:

“I heard you mention ______. I really think that you might enjoy doing this, it’s fantastic and I would love to tell

you more about it. If I give you some information, would you be interested in looking at it?”

BE PREPARED TO RESPOND

“Yes, I will look at it.”

“Great! I am sure you will have questions, so let’s schedule a time to meet. What works best for you?”

“It looks like fun (Yes), but I am too busy (No).”

“Lots of successful GelMoment Distributors felt exactly the same way as you until they considered it. There is no

obligation, just have a look to see if this is something that can fit into your life. You deserve to make an informed

decision, so would it be ok if I gave you a call to see if you have any questions?”

“No, thank you.”

“That’s too bad! I would really enjoy working with you! No, like Never? Or should we talk another time?” Accept a

firm ‘No’ graciously. “I appreciate your honesty and I hope that I can serve you as a loyal Customer or Party Hostess

in the future.”

Page 42: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

42

If someone agrees to receive more information, make sure that you do your follow-up when you said you would.

When offering the GelMoment Business Opportunity, ask open-ended questions. This will help you uncover the

Prospect’s needs and concerns. A question like “would you like to join my team?” evokes a one word answer. An

open-ended question encourages them to talk about how GelMoment could fill a need they have. Ask something

like: “What is it about being a GelMoment Distributor that interests you?”

Presenting the GelMoment Business Opportunity should be done as an interview process. By asking the right

questions, you may help your Prospect recognize their own needs and wants. Expressing understanding towards

those needs and wants will make it much easier for your Prospects to make a quicker decision.

By asking the right questions, you can offer the part of the Business Opportunity that will meet their needs. Say

something like: “May I ask you a few questions? I would like to know more about you so I can see if this Business

Opportunity would be right for you.”

Here are some questions you can ask to find out more about their situation:

FAMILY:

Do you have children? How many children do you have? How old are they? What part of town do you live in? How

do you like your area? Are there any plans to move in the near future?

OCCUPATION:

Do you own your own business? Do you work from home? What do you like about your job? Do you have a flexible

work schedule? Do you get along with your boss? How long have you worked there? Have you ever been a rep for

any Direct Sales companies before?

RECREATION:

How do you spend your free time? Do you get together with friends often? Do you like traveling? Do you like doing

your nails?

MOTIVATION

Are there any plans for travel in your future? Any weddings or big events coming up? Have you been putting off

anything because you are trying to save up the money?

LISTENING AND UNDERSTANDING

Be sure to listen to their needs. If someone says “I have to think about it.” Try saying, “I am curious. What is

holding your back?” Often the concern is minor and you can address it. With time and practice, you will get used

to handling all situations and closing the deal, but this takes time. Work closely with your sponsor and team

members. Exchange ideas on how each of you tackle situations and adopt the method that works best for you.

“NO” IS OFTEN JUST A NEED TO “KNOW” MORE

Concerns, hesitations and objections are normal. Remember when you first heard about the opportunity and how

you reacted. People don’t express concerns unless they are actually giving the idea some consideration.

Page 43: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

43

RESPONDING TO CONCERNS, HESITATIONS & OBJECTIONS

CONCERN

QUESTION (to uncover the real concern)

Listen Attentively (to acknowledge the concern)

Answer (with clarity)

Decision (agree on a path of action)

“I don’t have money to spend right now”

“Are you worried about the startup cost?”

“People worry about making back their investment quickly enough to justify finding the money to start.”

“GelMoment has you covered with an affordable Enrollment Package, which contains products that you can sell for a profit!”

“I can help you make a plan to recoup your initial investment. Does that ease your mind?”

“I want to think about it and speak to my husband first”

“Do you think your spouse will have questions I can help answer?”

“I understand you being cautious. Once you begin to earn commissions, you will be happy you jumped onboard!”

“You won’t know unless you try. The Enrollment Package is a great value, so it’s really worth a try.”

“I will be there to guide you through your first steps and you can reach me if you ever need help afterwards.” “Shall we sign you up?”

“I don’t think I will be able to book lots of Parties.”

“It sounds like you think you won’t be successful with this business, is that right?”

“That’s a very common feeling for most people who join.”

“It’s a simple process to approach people and ask for a Party booking. I will give you lots of tips on how to go about it.”

“If I work with you on booking your first Party, is it something that you think you would enjoy doing?” “Do you want to give it a try?”

“I have no sales experience.”

“Do you think the Guests at the Party you attended were excited to purchase GelMoment products?”

“That’s the beauty of GelMoment Parties! Hostesses invite their friends for a fun night out.”

“You share products that every woman wants and you reward your Hostess with gifts.”

“Does that sound like something you could do?” “Would you like to give it a try?”

“I am too busy”

“If you could find the time, is this something that you would enjoy doing?”

“I know exactly how you feel. My days were packed when I started this business and I had the same concern.”

“My sponsor helped me look at my calendar and I discovered that I could fit in 1-2 Parties a week. That was enough time to start a business.”

“Does knowing that you can start your own business with just a few hours a week make you feel more comfortable with the time commitment?” “Would you like to give it a try?”

Page 44: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

44

THE SUCCESS OF ANY BUSINESS IS IN THE FOLLOW-UP We all pull back for fear of being too “pushy” at times, so most of us give up before our Prospect is ready to say,

“YES!” The National Sales and Executive Association quote amazing statistics on Prospects who eventually say “Yes”

to a product or a service.

These statistics can be applied to your Prospects:

2% close on the first exposure

3% close on the second exposure

5% close on the third exposure

10% close on the fourth exposure

80% close on the fifth through twelfth exposure!

It’s important to remember that your Prospect may have had several “exposures” before they met you. Perhaps

now is the time that they are ready to say, “Yes!”

people that you have never even met yet? You will meet lots of people at your GelMoment Parties that will

become your next Hostess and loyal customers. When you’re out and about and you spot someone with nice nails,

tell her! A compliment goes a long way! Try something like this: “I love your nail design! Where did you get it

done? My company has a fabulous nail product that is unique on the market. Have you heard of GelMoment?

This will give you a chance to start up a conversation. Make sure you take down her contact information, so you

can follow-up with her.

Share your products and your Business Opportunity with everyone who attends your Parties. The fact that the

Guests attended the Party shows that they are interested in learning more about the product and/or they enjoy

getting together with girlfriends and having fun. Tell them how they can earn their own free products and give

them your available dates to host a Party. Share the Business Opportunity with them as well. Say something like

this: “I love being a GelMoment Distributor and I think you would be great at it too! Have you ever thought that you

could get paid to Party with your girlfriends and spoil your Hostesses with free nail products?”

Shadow a successful GelMoment Distributor

Tag along with another GelMoment Distributor who is doing well and pick up the tricks of the trade. This is a great

opportunity to see how she does it and what she is doing. Take notes and share these valuable tips with your team

members.

Host Your Own Grand Opening GelMoment Launch Party

Introduce your new business to your family and friends. Ask a friend to help by serving refreshments and taking

care of the children, so you can concentrate on introducing yourself as a GelMoment Distributor and spending time

with your Guests. Share your products and your business with everyone who attends your Parties. Tell them how

they can earn their own free products and give them your available dates to host a Party. Share the opportunity

with them as well. Say something like this: “I love being a GelMoment Distributor and I think you would great at it

too! Have you ever thought of doing something like this? Would you like to work from home and spend more time

with your children?” Remember the obvious, wear your GelMoment products always!

Booking Parties

GelMoment Parties are the perfect way to increase your sales and build your team. You should have already begun

calling people on your “Social Circle” list and scheduled a few GelMoment Parties. Here are some pointers on what

to say. “I have just started my GelMoment Business and it would really mean a lot to me if you could help me by

getting a few friends together to see my products. As you continue booking Parties and filling up your calendar,

don’t forget to ask for referrals, as most people will respond to a sincere request. Say something like, “I am building

my new GelMoment business and would really appreciate your help. I know you have so many friends. Do you

know anyone who loves having gorgeous nails and might be interested in earning some free nail products?” This

works best for those who do not want to host a Party themselves; most friends will not say “No” to two requests in

Page 49: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

49

a row! Remind your potential Hostess that there is no obligation for her to purchase products, so she doesn’t feel

pressured. Offer to bring the refreshments and let her know what she can earn by being a Hostess.

WHO TO INVITE? INVITE, INVITE, INVITE!

The more people you invite to your Party, the more fun your Guests will have. A big Guest List means more free

products for the Hostess! Consider all your different social circles when creating your Guest List. Here are a few

ideas to help you get started; Invite your Guests via Facebook, Twitter, email, text and telephone. Create a buzz to

increase your Party attendance. Encourage your Guests to bring a friend and watch your Guest List double!

PRE-PARTY TIPS Get the maximum sales from your Party before it even starts. Give your Guests who cannot attend a chance to

place their orders ahead of time or shop on your website. Have your products, paperwork and display items

organized and ready for your set-up. Being prepared gives you confidence and will increase your comfort level,

leaving behind any stress and last minute scrambling. Have plenty of Product Catalogs and Business Cards all

stamped or pre-labeled with your contact information. Determine where you will be setting up, ahead of time.

Make your set-up look easy for those who may be interested in hosting a Party. Make them feel like this is

something they could do too.

ADDRESSING CONCERNS, HESITATIONS & OBJECTIONS ABOUT BOOKING A PARTY CONCERN QUESTION (get more info)

Listen Attentively

Answer (with clarity) Decision (agree on

action)

“I don’t do Parties”

“What happened to make you feel that way” Or “Tell me more about that”

Acknowledge that you understand. “I was never a fan of Parties myself, until I discovered GelMoment.

“With a GelMoment Party, it’s simple; I bring the Party to you and your friends get to play with nail polish and have beautiful nails. There is no formal presentation and you get Free Products!”

“Does that sound more like your kind of Party” “What would work better for you – a weekend or a weeknight? Why not take a look at my opening dates?”

“I’m too Busy” Or “There’s too much going on right now and I have no time”.

I’ll bet that all your friends are just as busy as you are! When is the last time that all of you had a fun ‘girl’s night in?”

“I completely understand. We women always put ourselves last on the list”

“I want you to know that this will be the easiest Party you ever had and your friends will be happy that you all got together”

“If you were to have a Party, what would work best for you? Weekend or weeknight?” “Here are the dates I still have available. Why not just pencil something in?”

“My friends don’t have any money.” Or “Most of my friends are out of work and can’t spend any money right now”

“Are you worried that your friends wouldn’t be able to come or that they wouldn’t be able to buy anything?”

“I understand your concern! With our GelMoment Parties, your friends can get a Free manicure, with no pressure to buy, so there is no cost to them or you. If they buy, you can still get your Hostess Gifts!”

“The best reason to set a date is because it’s a PARTY – not a sales event! All the individual items in our catalog are affordable, so if your friends want to treat themselves to a little something, they will be able to do it.”

“What do you think? May I show you the dates that I have available to set up a Party for you and your friends?”

“I want to check with my friends to see when they are available”

“Are you thinking that you can get everyone together at the same time?”

“That would be amazing, but it never happens!”

“In reality, about one third of the people you invite will be able to come, no matter what date you choose”

“Why don’t we pencil in a date? You can check with a couple of people you most want to have attend and if that date doesn’t work for them, we can rearrange it.”

“My house is too small”

“Tell me why you think that is a problem?”

“That’s the beautiful thing about a GelMoment Party!

“There is no formal presentation, so we don’t need much space. Just a place where people can paint their nails.”

“How does that sound? Would you like to take a look at my openings?”

“The products are too expensive.”

“It certainly looks expensive, doesn’t it? I felt the same way when I was introduced to the products.”

“Did you know that with one single bottle of Gel Polish you could do 15 manicures? That’s less than $3 per manicure! The LED lamp is guaranteed for life, so you never have to purchase a second one, unless you want a different color!”

“You never have to pay for professional salon services and you can do this in the comfort of your home for a fraction of the cost, no appointments necessary!”

“I would love to treat you to a shopping spree! Why not take a look at my available dates?”

“I only use natural products”

“I understand your concerns, I am very contentious myself of what I use.”

“Did you know that GelMoment Gel Polishes are 5-Free?

“They are also vegan-friendly, solvent-free, cruelty-free and non-toxic.

“When would you like to try out the products?”

Page 52: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

52

Don’t get nervous when you hear concerns, hesitations or objections, they are actually a great sign. They just mean

that the person would like to know more and it’s your opportunity to make them a customer or your next recruit.

People have questions. You must listen, provide answers that will help them make a decision.

GAMES TO PLAY DURING THE PARTY Not sure how to break the ice at a home Party? Here are some fun ideas for games to play with your Guests. It will

help you get started and keep the fun going. Done correctly, Party Games can be very beneficial to the success of

your Party! The truth is, the more FUN people have at your Home Show, and the more likely they are to want to do

it again! Playing just a game or two will get people laughing, having fun, and leave the memory of a fun, relaxed

shopping experience with their friends that they will want to do again and again. Here are Ten Favorite Home Party

Games for you to try at your next GelMoment Party!

1. Just a Phone Call Away. At the beginning of your party, ask everyone to take out their cell phones and hold them

in their hand. You will have yours in your hand as well. Tell them this is the easiest game to win all night! *ha! *Ask

everyone to dial in your number – call it out to them number by number – and then when you say GO – everyone

hits call. Obviously, your phone will ring since they are all calling you – simply answer the phone to find the

“winner” on the line. Give her a little goodie for having the “fastest fingers in the room”! THEN – while everyone

still has their phone out, ask them to SAVE YOUR NUMBER with your first name and company – i.e. Amalia

GelMoment. Tell them that they have your number forever now, and if they ever need anything, you are JUST A

CALL AWAY – ask them to please put their phones on vibrate or silent not to disrupt the Party, and then begin with

your Party Presentation.

2. Drop the Shoe. This will get Guests talking to each other and about your products. As each Guest comes in, have

each Guest leave 1 shoe under their chair and put the other in the middle of the room. After everyone has arrived

tell them to pick a shoe from the middle (not their own) and find the pair. Once they find it, have them find out

what their favorite GelMoment product is and 1 reason why they should book a Party. Once they have done

conversing, go around the room and have each person introduce their “shoe friend”. It will sound like this “This is

Suzy’s Shoe, her favorite item is ______, and she should book a Party because________.

3. Recruiting Rhyme. If any selling you have done before, put down 10 to start your score. If you have a car and can

drive, the thing to do is just add 5. If some extra money is what you would like, add 10 more which is just about

right. A little spare time will add to your score, for this you may add 15 more. If you like people and think they are

grand, add 6 more and see where you stand. Add 10 points if you think Parties are fun, and when you add this you

are almost done. If you score the highest, it is plain to see a GelMoment Distributor is what you should be. Add 10

more if you want to be a GelMoment Distributor, like me!

4. Alphabet Game. Write each letter of the alphabet on a 3×5 index card. Hold each card up like a “flash card” and

give it to the person who yells out a word having to do with your business (product, opportunity, etc.) that starts

with the letter you held up! The person with the most cards at the end of the game wins! (I also give a gift to the

person with the least)

5. Crossed Out. As your Guests arrive, give out a few small gifts. (For example, you can give every 4th person a gift

(or give out the gifts however you choose). As soon as everyone is sitting, tell the group about the “no crossing”

rule. If a person holding a gift is caught crossing her legs, then she must relinquish her gift to the person who

catches her crossing her legs. This game should be played for the first half of the Party. At the halftime, everyone

53

who has a gift gets to open it. (If a person who already has a gift catches someone with a gift crossing her legs, she

can either trade gifts with that person, or choose a person who is “gift less” to give the extra gift to).

6. Thread Intro. Pass a spool of thread around to your Guests and tell them to take as much as they want. Tell them

you want to get to know them a little. Tell each Guest to talk about themselves as they wrap the thread around

their forefinger. When they reach the end, they can stop. Start with your Hostess. Go around the room until

everyone is introduced.

7. Pass the Prize. Have a wrapped prize ready for this fun game. Hand 1 person the gift and have them follow the

instructions as you read them. The person who is holding the prize at the end is the winner! (Similar to the Left

Right Game) “You thought all the gifts were meant for you. But I have other items too. So, hold up this gift and look

around, and give it to the one with eyes of brown. You think you are the lucky one, but let us all share in the fun!

Look around with eyes discreet, and give it to the one with the smallest feet. Your feet are tiny and very small. Now

hand it to someone very tall. Please, take your time and don’t be harried, give it to the one who is longest married.

You must be proud of your married life, now pass this on to the newest wife. If this parcel you are bereft, give it to

the one on your left. The largest earring I’m looking for now, if you’re wearing them, step up with a bow. Now to

the person with buttons– big or small, any kind, the most you can find gets the gift at this time. Now don’t get cross

and please don’t fight, but pass it to the lady third on the right. We should stop now, don’t you agree? The gift is

yours to open and see.”

8. Replace Your Husband. An ice breaker game to play at the beginning of the party. Have each Guest write down

an item in their house they need to repair or replace. Then have them list 5 simple reasons they want to get rid of

it. Now have them cross out the item and place their husbands name in that place. Go around the room and have

each person read aloud “I want to replace (husband’s name) because he…. (The five reasons). The funniest answers

win.

9. The Lei Game. This is a great game to play in the warm months or a themed party. As you reward your Party

Hostess with a gift for inviting you into her home, also adorn her with 3 lei’s. Announce to the crowds that during

your presentation if they want to book a Party yell out loud “I want to PARTY!” The Hostess will give her one of the

leis around her neck. Offer an incentive for the Hostess to get 3 bookings and she will also encourage her friends to

book a Party with you.

10. Party Bingo. Give each Guest a blank Bingo card and you should have a bag or box filled with cards that have

your demo products listed on each one. As you go through your presentation, have them randomly fill in the names

of items you show on their card. After you are done with your presentation, draw 4 cards from your bag or box and

call them out. For the 5th one say there are 2 free boxes, 1 for booking a Party today with me and 1 for becoming a

Distributor today, please fill those squares in. Continue to draw product cards till someone says BINGO.

COLLECTING CONTACT INFORMATION

Make sure to pass out Product Catalogs to all your Guests with a “YES” coupon attached in order to collect their

contact information so you can follow-up with them after the Party.

Page 54: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

54

KEEP THE PARTY GOING – AFTER PARTY CUSTOMER CARE CALLS The Party may be over, but the opportunity is not. Text, email and Facebook message your Guests the day after the

party so they can add more colors to their collection before you place your order. Encourage your Hostesses to do

the same. Be sure to send a Thank You card to your Hostess. Customer care calls after the Party has ended are

very important; they give you the opportunity to:

Express appreciation for their business.

Ensure that they are satisfied with their purchases.

Offer suggestions on how to complete their collection of products.

Inform Hostesses and Customers about upcoming specials or events you may have.

Invite Hostesses and Customers to explore the GelMoment Business opportunity.

Ask for referrals of friends or associates that would like your services.

WHEN SHOULD YOU CALL?

Chances are that you could not possibly seize every opportunity to sell or recruit in one night. There are always

more sales, more bookings and more Prospects that you could identify in a few hour event. There were also

customers that you did not meet because they placed outside orders prior to the event. Here are some

conversational tips when calling:

Always begin with introducing yourself and asking if they have time for you.

1. “Hello ______, my name is _____ and I am your GelMoment Distributor. Do you have a minute to chat?”

2. “I called to thank you for coming to ____’s Party. I was wondering if there was anything about Hosting or becoming

a Distributor that you did not get a chance to ask me.”

3. “I called to thank you for placing an order with _____ even though you couldn’t make it to the party. Do you have

any questions about GelMoment products that I can answer for you? Do you have any questions about hosting or

the business opportunity that you would like to ask me?”

4. “Hi! This is ____. Do you have a moment?” I am just checking to make sure you got your GelMoment products

from ____’s Party.”

SECTION 9 - HOSTESS COACHING

BOOK THE DATE AND PREP YOUR HOSTESS A Party only happens if you book a date! Decide on a date with your Hostess and coach her on how to prepare for a

successful GelMoment Party. Coaching your Hostess is about building a relationship with her. She can become a

loyal customer, a repeat Hostess or a member of your team. Hostesses want to be successful and earn as much free

products as possible, so work with them to make it happen. Great Hostess coaching equals big sales, lots of

bookings, fewer postponements and cancellations. A happy Hostess is one who will positively and enthusiastically

spread the word about your business!

Try offering extra incentives to your Hostess for every Party that is booked at her Party and she will help you

encourage her friends to book!

HOW TO COACH YOUR HOSTESS Tell your Hostess that you will work closely with her to make her Party a success and help her get the free stuff that

she has on her wish list. Ask her to make a list of what she would like and work with her to make it a reality. Keep

in-touch, set realistic and concrete expectations and inspire activity.

Once the Party is booked, provide your Hostess with Product Catalogs and order forms, so she can collect orders

from those who cannot attend. Leave her some information about the Business Opportunity and your Business

Cards, so she can pass them out to her friends. Tell her, “I want to help you have a successful Party. I will work

with you every step of the way.”

Help her write up her wish list, so she can get excited about the Free products she can earn.

Help your Hostess create her Guest List. Go through the different Social Circles with her. Tell her to write down at

least 40 names because only ¼ to 1/3 will be able to come.

Tell her to invite her Guests personally. This gives her the opportunity to encourage her Guests to bring a friend.

Many Guests are more comfortable arriving with a friend, especially if they don’t know anyone at the Party.

Ask her if you can personally call her Guests to introduce yourself, a day or two before the Party. If she agrees,

encourage her to advise her Guests to expect your call. Guests don’t come because they forget, so this will also

serve as a reminder call for them. When you meet them in person, you will already feel connected.

Encourage her to get outside orders from Guests that cannot attend, to ensure maximum sales.

Advise her of the payment methods you accept, so Guests can come prepared. This avoids lost sales.

COACHING CALLS

There are 3 calls you should make to your Hostess to keep her engaged and excited about her upcoming

GelMoment Party. Her enthusiasm will keep her commitment firm and lessen the chances of postponement or

cancellation.

CALL #1 - The day after you book her Party

Confirm that the day will work for her. If there is a conflict, reschedule immediately.

Find out how many names she has written down on her possible Guest list. Go through the social circles again and

help her maximize her list.

Tell her that you will be offering the Business Opportunity to her Guests but that you want to be sure and offer it to

her first. “Have you ever considered doing something like this?”

Page 57: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

57

CALL #2 - One week after booking the Party

Ask how many Guests have confirmed and discuss ideas for boosting attendance. Look at categories that she didn’t

consider when inviting her Guests.

Remind her to show the GelMoment Product Catalog to friends that could not attend or backed out. Not attending

doesn’t mean that they cannot place an order or look at your brochure for more information on the business.

CALL #3 - 2 days before the Party

Finalize the details and confirm the address for her home, so you can show up on time.

Find out if any last-minute Guests were added to the list, so you can add them to the list of people you will call to

introduce yourself.

Discuss your set up. Arrive early and have your Hostess do her nails, so that she is also wearing the product.

Thank her for her efforts so far, and tell her it will be a great Party.

Find out if she is interested in talking about the Business Opportunity before the Party. Let her know that if she

decides to become a Distributor, all the commissions you would earn at her Party will become hers.

Assure her that you will still go and host the Party with her, even though she will now be the Hostess.

MAKE THE REMINDER CALLS YOURSELF

The most common reason people don’t show up to a Party is because they forget. If the Hostess wants to call

herself, just say, “I know you can call, but this is a service that I am providing to you. I can make the calls in 20

minutes and it can take you hours because people might keep you on the phone forever just to chat. You can enjoy

your evening, while I do the work for you. Your Guests will feel more comfortable coming if I introduce myself first.

Keep the calls brief. If a Guest is not home, leave a message. Don’t forget to smile when speaking on the phone.

Say something like, “Hi! My name is _____. We haven’t met yet, but I will be the GelMoment Distributor at

_____’s Party tomorrow night. I am calling to introduce myself. We will start at 7:00PM. Feel free to bring a

friend. Can’t wait to meet you and if you have any questions, you can call me at ________________.”

This is the perfect opportunity to advise your Hostess’s Guests of the different forms of payment that you will be

accepting at the Party, so they won’t have any surprises and you won’t lose any sales. Be prepared with change,

carry a credit card accepting device such as “Square” or similar and decide if you want to accept checks or not. The

more options you make available, the easier the transactions will be.

SECTION 11 - TRADE SHOWS AND VENDOR EVENTS

WHY DO TRADE SHOWS OR VENDOR EVENTS? Events are an amazing way to grow your customer base and add new recruits to your team. A successful show or

event takes preparation, organization and dedication to make it successful. You will need to work before, during

and after the event. Events can be found through local religious groups, schools, businesses, online, in local

classifieds, newspapers etc.

FINDING EVENTS Can’t find an event? Make your own! There is nothing more rewarding that creating something, watching it

materialize and declaring it a success. Here is one way you can go about creating your own event:

Approach a local school, religious organization, community center etc. and ask them if you can rent out space to

hold a bazaar or vendor event. They will charge you a fee either per table, hour or per day for the space rental.

Post an ad through your local paper, online classifieds or through social media vendor groups. Look for local

vendors who want to participate in your event by selling their products. Charge a reasonable fee to each vendor

who attends for their table rental and use that money to pay the space that you rented out. Voila! You now have

an event.

The next thing you need to do to make this event successful is, ADVERTISE, ADVERTISE and ADVERTISE. Ask the

other vendors to pitch in and print as many flyers as you can. Post them on the adverting boards in your local

grocery stores, pharmacies, community centers, malls and on your community mailboxes. The more you advertise,

the more you increase your chances of attendance. Ask your local radio station to announce your event on the day

it’s taking place, most radio stations will do it without any hassle.

Ask each vendor to donate an item that they are selling and use those as door prizes for the attendees. This reduces

the out-of-pocket expenses for you. Advertise on your flyer that you are giving away prizes to increase attendance.

Everyone loves prizes!

ORGANIZING AN EVENT These are only a few ideas and tips to help you get started when organizing or hosting events.

Book at least 1 vendor event per season, this will keep your contact list growing.

Google “craft fairs and festivals” to find local events.

Ask local religious groups, schools, community centers and hospitals for a list of events to increase your chances of

securing an event.

Ask Event Organizers to put you on the call-back list for the following year, it actually makes things easier for them

too.

Don’t attend events alone; team up with other Distributors on your team. If your table or booth gets busy and you

don’t have someone with you, you may miss out on potential customers or recruits.

Set up a table or booth that looks professional and esthetically appealing.

Dress professionally and look presentable. After all, you are working in the beauty industry.

Have plenty of Business Cards and professionally made pamphlets to hand out with your info on them.

Place a bowl of candy or lollipops on your table so that children will bring their moms over to you; works like a

charm.

Page 68: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

68

Draw a prize to collect customer data for follow-up.

Follow up with everyone who enters the draw and ask them if they want to host a Party.

Talk to everyone who comes to your table about the Business Opportunity.

If you are organizing your own event, you may want to consider making it a Fundraiser. People love attending

when they know that their money is going to a charitable organization. You can invite extra vendors and use the

money you collect from their table rental to donate towards the cause that you choose to support. You may also

ask each vendor to donate a percentage of their sales towards the cause as well. Support a different cause at every

event and raise funds for organizations in your community.

BUILDING YOUR CONTACT LIST When attending Trade Shows and Vendor Events, connect with the other vendors and exchange contact

information. They will be a great resource for you in finding other events. Ask them to contact you if they hear of

similar events and offer to do the same for them, this will help fill up your calendar. Vendors usually end up

purchasing products from each other; take this opportunity to talk to them about the GelMoment Business

Opportunity.

The next section of this Training Manual will give you lots of useful information in regards to Fundraising.

SECTION 12 - FUNDRAISING WITH YOUR GELMOMENT BUSINESS

WHAT IS A FUNDRAISER? Fundraising is the process of gathering voluntary contributions of money or other resources by requesting

donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations, or governmental agencies. Traditionally, fundraising

consisted mostly of asking for donations on the street or at people's doors, and this is experiencing very strong

growth in the form of face-to-face fundraising. New methods of fundraising such as online fundraising have

emerged in recent years. No method is better than another, just find a cause that means something to you and

support it.

Fundraising is a fantastic way to use your GelMoment business to give back to your community and build your

customer base. The key to building a successful Direct Sales business is to be in contact with new people on a

regular basis. Fundraising will put you in front of people who may not be drawn to the idea of Direct Sales and

home based businesses. Use this opportunity to collect names by holding a draw and by following up on those

leads.

PLANNING YOUR FUNDRAISER Be the Expert

You need to have a concrete plan in place on how you are going to handle your event every step of the way. When

meeting the organizer of an event, if you open with, “well, what do you want to do” it puts all the pressure on the

organizer. The key to a successful Fundraiser is making it as easy as possible for the organization. Understand their

goal. Meet the organizer and develop a clear plan on how you will help them achieve their goals. When

approaching a group about a Fundraiser, quantify the potential value for them. You could say something like….

“When we met, I understood that your goal is to buy new uniforms for your cheerleading squad and you mentioned

that it would require $1000 to achieve that. I have a plan to help you achieve your goal! Your group will receive 25%

of every dollar sold, so total sales need to be $4000. You have 20 girls on your team, so each girl needs to have sales

for $200. That’s the equivalent to a total of only 8 GelMoment polishes each!

Combine the hands-on and online sales to maximize your sales by providing a link to your event that people can

share on their Facebook pages. The online part reduces the need for volunteers and eliminates the issue of

handling money, bounced checks and customers can shop from the comfort of their homes.

The success of your Fundraiser will depend on how energetically you embrace it and market it. Set your goals,

advertise and follow-up with your leads.

This is YOUR BUSINESS so you choose how you would like to grow it. Use these useful tips to get started with your

own Fundraiser:

Page 71: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

71

SOME WORTHY CAUSES TO SUPPORT

Find a worthy cause that you would like to support.

Awareness groups; cancer, autism, social, health

Charities

Religious groups

Schools / PTAs

Cheerleaders / gymnastics

Sports teams; boys and girls

Food Banks

Homeless programs; teens and adults

Find local charities to support in your area by searching online.

HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU GIVE?

Know your plan! You are Fundraising to help an organization and to grow your customer base. The amount that

you donate is totally up to you, so give the highest limit that financially makes sense to you. Here are some

suggestions:

Donate all your profits (difference between wholesale/retail).

Choose a flat amount or a percentage of your earnings.

Factor in your costs; catalogs, travel, samples etc.

You may want to consider putting a cap on large Fundraisers or a minimum to protect smaller Fundraisers.

Your donation is a Tax Deduction.

TAX DEDUCTIONS

Consult a tax professional in your area and inform yourself on eligible tax benefits that you are entitled to. In most

cases:

Simply write a check payable to your cause.

You may be eligible to take a deduction on your personal taxes when writing a check to a non-profit organization.

This information may vary by location, please verify what you are eligible for in your city.

MAKE YOUR GELMOMENT PARTY A “FUNRAISER”

Support a cause for your Hostess. Donate the Party profits to a cause of their choice; they will want to maximize the

Party sales to support their cause and work hard to do so.

Set up a virtual Party by creating a Facebook group, for each member of a sports/cheerleading team and get them

to sell the products for you. All they have to do is add their friends to the group. Post all the information about your

products and the purpose of the Fundraiser and include your link for ordering or instructions on how you would like

orders to be collected and distributed. Donate all or part of the profits collected through these Parties to the

organization.

76

Some Definitions to help you understand the Compensation Plan: Requirements: What a Distributor needs to achieve in order to be eligible for earnings. Personal Retail Sales: All eligible retail purchases/sales both personal and those made by your customers, through your website. Personal Retail Earnings: This is the discount you receive on your personal purchases and sales made through your website. The discount is based on your monthly “Paid As” Rank. Total Team Wholesale Sales: Team refers to your entire downline for which you are eligible to earn commissions. Total Team Wholesale Sales refers to the entire amount of your team’s sales for the month. All products are included with the exception of Business Supplies and select Promotional Items. Commissionable Team Wholesale Sales: This refers to the amount of Team Wholesales Sales that are eligible to earn residual income. These amounts are based on 70% of the retail value of all commissionable items. Commissionable Items: All products with the exception of LED Lamps, Business Supplies and select Promotional Items. Branches: A Branch is each of your 1st Level Distributors and their downline. A downline refers to the amount of levels for which you are eligible to receive a commission. For example, if you are a Drama Queen, you earn from 4 levels. A Branch would be each of your 1st Level Distributors and their 3 levels. Branch Team Wholesale Sales: The minimum amount of Wholesale Sales each Branch is required to have. These sales are included in your Total Team Wholesale Sales. Promoting Team Members: Number of “Paid As” Divas required in your Downline. Additional Retail Earnings (5% to 25%): Additional Bonus paid on all eligible retail purchases. This is calculated once a month is closed and “Paid As” Rank is determined, based on requirements. Residual Income: Commissions earned on your eligible team members, determined by your monthly “Paid As” Rank. Inactivity: Should a Distributor become inactive, by not having met the rolling 3-month requirements, their account will be closed and they will lose their downline. Monthly “Paid As” Rank: The rank achieved at end of each calendar month. This rank is used to calculate commissions and additional retail earnings for that month. The Earnings Breakdown Chart works in conjuction with the Requirements Chart. All the Requirements for any

Level must be met monthly, in order to be “Paid As” that Level.

Once you reach the level of Fashionista, you can never go below the 25% Retail Commission Level, as long as your

account remains active.

In order to remain active, each Distributor must have Personal Retail Sales of the following amount within the past

three months: $200.00 CAD. $200.00 USA. $220.00AUD. £180.00.

COMPENSATION PLAN FAQS

How does the GelMoment Compensation Plan work?

The Compensation Plan is based on monthly requirements. There are no annual requirements needed to earn

monthly commissions (other than paying your annual website maintenance and eWallet fees).

The first day of each month, everyone other than those at the “Gel Go” Level, will be reset back to Fashionista.

All Personal Retail Sales and purchases made throughout that month for Fashionistas and above, will be discounted

at 25% (paid through eWallet, one hour later).

On the last day of each month, your “Paid As” rank will be determined based on all the requirements achieved

during that month.

If you end the month with a higher Rank than Fashionista, you will receive the difference between the 25% and 50%

discount that you are entitled to, in one lump sum.

You will also receive commissions on your downline based on the “Paid As” rank that you achieved that month. See

the Monthly Rank Requirement Chart and Earnings Breakdown Charts for details. Charts and values vary by

country. All Australian values include GST. All UK values include VAT.

How are monthly volumes calculated?

Personal sales and purchases made through your website are based on Retail value. Team sales are based on

wholesale value. (Based on 70% of retail).

Is the Inactivity requirement amount in retail or wholesale value?

The inactivity requirement amount is based on Retail value.

Which month are commissions paid out for?

Commissions are paid for the current month. The payout on all residual income and bonuses is paid out once the

month is closed and your “Paid As” Rank is determined. The “Paid As” Rank is based on the requirements achieved

for that month. To be “Paid As” any rank, you must meet all the requirements; these include Personal Retail Sales,

Team Wholesale Sales and Branch Team Wholesale sales, when applicable. (See charts)

If my account is closed, what happens to my downline?

If your account is closed, then you lose your downline and everyone rolls up one level.

How long do I have to wait to sign up again, if my account is closed?

There is no waiting period to re-join as a Distributor.

Page 81: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

81

Can I get my downline back if I sign up again?

No. When you re-join, you start as a new Distributor.

Does the Enrollment Package count towards Personal Retail Sales or Team Sales?

No.

Are the Total Team Wholesale Sales required for each of my downline levels?

No. Total Team Wholesale Sales is the total amount of wholesale sales, generated by all of your eligible earning

levels combined.

What counts towards Personal Retail Sales?

All purchases and sales made through your website count towards Personal Retail Sales, with the exception of your

Gel Go Enrollment Package, Business Supplies and select Promotional items.

What is the difference between Team Wholesale Sales and Commissionable Team Wholesale Sales?

Team Wholesale Sales are used to determine your monthly “Paid As” Rank, whereas Commissionable Team

Wholesale Sales are used to calculate your residual income.

Example: LED Lamps are non-commissionable items. Although you do not earn residual income on them, they are

included in the amount of Team Wholesale Sales to determine your monthly “Paid As” Rank.

Please note that you will always receive your Personal Retail Earnings on the retail purchase of the LED Lamps.

87

Can GelMoment products be sold in Salons or Spas?

GelMoment products may be sold to and displayed in a Salon or Spa that is an independent single establishment and not part of a chain or franchise. If the following criteria are met, the size of the establishment or number of employees does not matter. These rules also apply to Salon and Spa owners or employees who wish to sign up and become Distributors.

What is the difference between LED and UV lamps?

GelMoment is pleased to clarify the differences between traditional gel manicures and the GelMoment experience.

All light gives off a certain amount of UV light, including the sun and every other body of light. It is important to

limit that exposure. It is important to know that traditional UV lights are considered to be absolutely safe. A 2013

independent study found “UV nail lamps exceeded safety expectations. These lamps were found to be significantly

less hazardous than expected based on the initial concerns raised by others. The researchers found that UV

exposure is so low that a person could put her hands under a nail lamp for 25 minutes a day without exceeding the

internationally accepted safe limits for daily workplace UV exposure. The data showed that UV nail lamps were

safer than both natural sunlight and sunlamps.

Regardless, a traditional gel manicure, goes through a three-step process, which necessitates going through the

traditional UV lamp three times, this can be up to ten minutes per nail. The beauty of the GelMoment experience is

that there is only one coat for 46 or 60 seconds, depending on which one of our LED Lamps you choose, so this

absolutely limits any exposure to any UV rays.

LED lamps also emit a certain amount of UV light. The greatest advantage they have over the traditional UV light is

that the amount of time exposed to the light is cut down to a third. In addition, the LED light has over 50,000 hours

of use; enough for a lifetime.

Since GelMoment only requires one coat of Gel Polish, and does not need any base or top coat, it becomes far

easier to remove, and in fact anecdotally we have heard from many of our customers already that they have felt

their nails becoming stronger and less brittle after trying the GelMoment experience. This too is the reason why it is

far easier to remove and actually leaves no damage to the nail. Even when using the GelMoment nail pusher, it is

just the Gel Polish that is removed and the nail is left intact.

Although GelMoment brand themes and images are desirable for consistency, anyone landing on any page of a Distributor’s External Website must clearly understand that they are at an Independent Distributor site, and not a GelMoment Corporate page.

3.3.5 - External Websites Must Exclusively Promote GelMoment

A Distributor’s External Website must contain content and information that is exclusive to GelMoment. A Distributor may not advertise any products or services other than the GelMoment product line and the GelMoment opportunity.

3.3.6 - No eCommerce or Stock-and-Sell Retailing

A Distributor’s External Website must only facilitate the entry into his or her GelMoment Replicated Website. Distributors may not stock and sell GelMoment products, and may not facilitate an eCommerce environment that would facilitate this model. All orders must be placed through the Distributor’s official Replicated Website.

3.3.8 - Team Websites

Team Websites are not a violation of GelMoment’s policy prohibiting Distributors from developing independent websites. A Team Website must be password protected and available only to Distributors within a single line of sponsorship. Team Websites must serve only as a forum for communication, training, recognition, connecting and motivating Distributors within that line of sponsorship. Team Websites may not be used for recruiting or sales purposes, and may not be shared with prospective Distributors. Team Websites must comply with all of GelMoment’s Policies and Procedures.

3.3.9 - Domain Names, email Addresses and Online Aliases

Distributors are not allowed to use or register “GelMoment” or any of GelMoment’s trade names, trademarks, product names, or any derivatives, for any Internet domain name, email address, or online aliases. Additionally, a Distributor cannot use or register domain names, email addresses, and/or online aliases that could cause confusion, or be misleading or deceptive, in that they cause individuals to believe or assume the communication is from, or is the property of GelMoment. This includes, but does not limit, any domain or email address that has the name of any Country, State, Province or City, either in its entirety of abbreviated form. This includes whether it makes up the complete domain name and email address, or part of it. GelMoment can refuse any domain name at any time and the Distributor will have to choose a new one.

If a Distributor violates this policy, the Distributor shall assign and transfer the domain name, email address, social media handle or name, or online alias to the Company immediately upon the Company’s demand, and the Distributor shall be responsible for paying all fees and costs, including but not limited to attorney’s fees and costs and transfer costs, associated with the assignment and transfer. This remedy is in addition to, and not in place of, other remedies and/or disciplinary measures that the Company may take pursuant to these Policies.

3.3.11 - Monetizing Replicated or External Websites

Distributors may not monetize their Replicated Website or their External Website through affiliate programs, AdSense or similar programs.

3.3.12 - Online Classifieds

Distributors may not use online classifieds (including without limitation Craigslist, Amazon, EBay and Kijiji) to list, sell or retail specific GelMoment products or product bundles. Distributors may use online classifieds for informing the public about the GelMoment business opportunity, provided GelMoment-approved templates/images are used. These templates will identify the Distributor as a GelMoment Independent Distributor. If a link or URL is provided, it must link to the Distributor’s Replicated Website or External Website.

3.3.13 - eBay / Online Auctions

GelMoment’s products may not be listed on eBay or other online auctions, nor may Distributors enlist or knowingly allow a third party to sell GelMoment products on eBay or another online auction.

3.3.14 - Online Retailing

Distributors may not list or sell GelMoment products on any online retail store or ecommerce site. Nor may a Distributor enlist or knowingly allow a third party to sell GelMoment products on any online retail store or ecommerce site.

3.3.15 - Banner Advertising

Distributors may place banner advertisements on a Company-approved third-party website provided the Distributor uses GelMoment-approved templates and images. All banner advertisements must link only to a Distributor’s Replicated Website or an External Website. Distributors may not use blind ads (ads that do not disclose the identity of the Company) or web pages that make product or income claims that are ultimately associated with GelMoment products or the GelMoment opportunity.

3.3.19 - Domain Names and Email Addresses

Except as set forth in the Distributor Website Agreement, Distributors may not use or attempt to register any of GelMoment’s trade names, trademarks, product names, the Company’s name, or any derivative of the foregoing, for any Internet domain name, email address, or name or address.

3.4 - Social Media

Social Media may be used by Distributors to share information about the GelMoment. However, Distributors who elect to use Social Media must adhere to the Policies and Procedures in all respects.

Social Media sites may not be used to sell or offer to sell specific GelMoment products. Profiles a Distributor generates in any social community where GelMoment is discussed or mentioned must clearly identify the Distributor as a GelMoment Independent Distributor, and when a Distributor participates in those communities, Distributors must avoid inappropriate conversations, comments, images, video, audio, applications or any other adult, profane, discriminatory or vulgar content. The determination of what is inappropriate is at GelMoment’s sole discretion, and offending Distributors will be subject to disciplinary action. Banner ads and images used on these sites must be current and must come from the GelMoment approved library. If a link is provided, it must link to the posting Distributor’s Replicated Website or the Distributor’s Company-approved External Website.

Distributors may not use blog spam, spamdexing or any other mass-replicated methods to leave blog comments. Comments Distributors create or leave must be useful, unique, relevant and specific to the blog’s article.

3.4.1 - Distributors Are Responsible for Postings

Distributors are personally responsible for their postings and all other online activity that relates to GelMoment. Therefore, even if a Distributor does not own or operate a blog or Social Media site, if a Distributor posts to any such site that relates to GelMoment or which can be traced to GelMoment, the Distributor is responsible for the posting. Distributors are also responsible for postings that appear on any blog or Social Media site that the Distributor owns, operates, or controls.

3.4.2 - Identification as an GelMoment Independent Distributor

When posting to social media, a Distributor must disclose his or her full name and conspicuously identify himself or herself as an independent Distributor for GelMoment. Anonymous postings or use of an alias is prohibited. Distributors will not be added to the Corporate Facebook pages, if their Facebook account does not match the name on their Distributor account.

3.4.3 - Social Media as a Sales and Promotion Forum

Some social media sites promote commercial use while others prohibit it. It is each Distributor’s responsibility to learn and abide by the social media site’s terms of use and policies. If the social media site does not allow its site to be used for commercial activity, you must abide by the site’s terms of use. Social Media sites are relationship-building sites.

3.4.4 - Sales and Enrollments from Social Media Sites Are Prohibited

Online sales and/or enrollments may only be generated from a Distributor’s GelMoment replicated website. Likewise, Distributors shall not use any Social Media site to explain the GelMoment Compensation Plan or any component of the Compensation Plan. GelMoment products may be advertised and promoted at social media sites (subject to compliance with Section 3.4.3), but no price information may be included in such posts or ads.

Page 101: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

101

3.4.5 - Deceptive Postings

Postings that are false, misleading, or deceptive are prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, false or deceptive postings relating to the GelMoment income opportunity, GelMoment’s products, and/or your biographical information and credentials.

3.4.10 - Responding to Negative Posts

Distributors should not converse with anyone who places a negative post against the Distributor, other independent Distributors, or GelMoment. Report negative posts to the Company at [email protected]. Responding to such negative posts often simply fuels a discussion with someone carrying a grudge that does not hold themselves to the same high standards as GelMoment, and therefore damages the reputation and goodwill of GelMoment.

3.4.12 - Promotion of Other Direct Selling Businesses Through Social Media

In addition to meeting all other requirements specified in these Policies, should a Distributor utilize any form of social media, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, or Pinterest, the Distributor agrees to each of the following:

No product sales or enrollments may occur on any social media site. To generate sales, a social media site must link only to the Distributor’s GelMoment Replicated Website.

Other than Pinterest and similar social media sites, any social media site that is directly or indirectly operated or controlled by a Distributor that is used to discuss or promote GelMoment’s products or the GelMoment opportunity may not link to any website, social media site, or site of any other nature, other than the Distributor’s GelMoment replicated website.

During the term of this Agreement and for a period of 12 calendar months thereafter, a Distributor may not use any social media site on which they discuss or promote, or have discussed or promoted, the GelMoment business or GelMoment’s products to directly or indirectly solicit GelMoment Distributors for another direct selling or network marketing program (collectively, “direct selling”). In furtherance of this provision, a Distributor shall not take any action that may reasonably be foreseen to result in drawing an inquiry from other Distributors relating to the Distributor’s other direct selling business activities. The provision in this bullet point does not apply to a Distributor’s personally sponsored Distributors. Violation of this provision shall constitute a violation of the Nonsolicitation Policy in Section 3.13.

A Distributor may post or “pin” photographs of GelMoment products on a social media site, but only photos that are provided by GelMoment and downloaded from the Distributor’s Back-Office, or photos that the Company has specifically approved, may be used.

If a Distributor creates a business profile page on any social media site that promotes or relates to GelMoment, its products, or opportunity, the business profile page must relate exclusively to the Distributor’s GelMoment business and GelMoment products. If the Distributor’s GelMoment business is cancelled for any reason or if the Distributor becomes inactive, the Distributor must deactivate the business profile page.

Cross promotion on a GelMoment Business page is prohibited. Promoting GelMoment products or Business Opportunity in conjunction with another Direct Selling

company is also prohibited.

102

3.10.1 – Independent Salons and Spas

GelMoment products may be sold from and displayed in independent salons and spas as long as the salon or spa is not part of a chain or franchise system and the owner or manager of the salon or spa, or one of the professionals providing salon or spa services to customers is an active GelMoment Distributor.

3.11 - Signage

To avoid giving the appearance of a permanent retail establishment, yard signs and/or other signage must not be displayed on a stationary object, or permanently installed outside, or affixed to the windows of a Distributor’s personal residence or other residence. Temporary signage or signage affixed to a mobile object may be displayed in conjunction with a home party, open house, or other approved GelMoment event. The determination of whether an object is mobile or stationary shall be solely at GelMoment’s discretion.

3.12 - Trade Shows, Expositions and Other Sales Forums

Distributors may display and/or sell GelMoment products at trade shows and professional expositions. Distributors are responsible for making all arrangements with the event organizers in regards to booths, costs, number of participants allowed per event etc. GelMoment will not involve itself or intervene in any dispute between Distributors that arises in connection with such an event for any reason.

GelMoment Distributors may not participate at events that are not consistent with the professional image that GelMoment wishes to portray. Such events include, but are not limited to, swap meets, garage sales and flea markets.

GelMoment Distributors are permitted to set up a booth in a shopping mall under the following conditions:

Booth must not be permanent fixture

Booth must be in mall passage or hallways and not inside a commercial store

Distributors must offer manicures

Booth cannot be used to liquidate products

All products must be displayed and sold at full retail prices in effect at time of sale.

Booth is permitted for a maximum of 30 days in the same establishment with 30-day break period in-between.

Product swapping in an online group is prohibited, as is selling products for less than the retail advertised pricing.

3.13.2 - Distributor Participation in Other Direct Selling Programs

If a Distributor is engaged in other non-GelMoment business or direct selling programs, it is the responsibility of the Distributor to ensure that his or her GelMoment business is operated entirely separate and apart from all other businesses and/or direct selling programs. To this end, the Distributor must adhere to the following:

Page 103: Table of Contents€¦ · sales. Help your new recruits get started by coaching them with the following: Encourage them to order their products so that they can get started right

103

Distributors must not sell, or attempt to sell, any competing non-GelMoment products that are sold through another direct selling program to GelMoment Distributors. Any product in the same generic categories as GelMoment products is deemed to be competing, regardless of differences in cost, quality or other distinguishing factors.

Distributors shall not display GelMoment promotional materials, sales aids, or products with any non-GelMoment promotional materials, sales aids, products or services.

Distributors shall not offer the GelMoment opportunity or products to prospective or existing Distributors in conjunction with any non-GelMoment program, opportunity, product or service.

Distributors may not offer any non-GelMoment opportunity, products, services or opportunity at any GelMoment-related meeting, seminar, convention, webinar, teleconference, or other function.

4.2 - Product Pricing / Price Advertising

As independent contractors, Distributors may establish their own pricing for reselling their GelMoment products. However, Distributors shall not advertise GelMoment products for less than the retail price as published by the Company. This includes posting that you have special pricing and that people should contact you for more details. Furthermore, not bulk pricing or special enticement advertising is allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, offers of free starter kits, free shipping, or other such offers that grant advantages beyond those available through any Distributor’s GelMoment Website. Distributors are responsible for adherence to all local laws concerning pricing.

4.6 - Shipping Schedule

Orders are typically prepared within 1-3 business days from the date on which the order is placed. It may take up to 10 business days to receive your order after it has been shipped. Once an order is placed, no changes can be made to it and it due to the instant payment program and it cannot be combined with other orders to save on shipping costs.

Please allow up to 7 business days for processing on Enrollment Packages plus 10 business days for shipping.

9.2 - Cancellation Due to Inactivity

In order to be eligible to earn bonuses and commissions, a Distributor’s account must be active.

Should a Distributor become inactive, by not having met the rolling 3-month requirements, their account will be closed and they will lose their downline. The 3-month rolling requirement is available on the website.
