Login To access Aspen Gradebook (Grades and Attendance), go to https://aspen.bsd405.org and enter in your BSD username

and password on the login screen. If you use Internet Explorer, turn off the pop up blocker.

Family Account: Login ID is the BSD family account name. The standard Login ID starts with p- followed the parent’s last

name and first initial. In some cases, the last name may be followed by the first few letters of the first name if there are

duplicate names. For example, James Lee may login as p-leej, another James Lee as p-leeja, Jason Lee as p-leejas and

Jessica Lee as p-leeje. The password default is set to p# followed by the birthdate of the oldest student in the district

(mmddyy), so for example p#031599 where the oldest student’s birthday is March 15, 1999. Please note that this

account is separate from your student’s account, and each parent/guardian has their own account. You should have

received an email with your account information. If you have not received this information or need to reset your

password, please contact [email protected].

Once you have logged in, you will be on the Home Page. Use the tabs at the top of the screen to navigate to different

sections.

1) Pages: this is the Home Page

2) Family: view student information such as Contacts, Health and Transcripts

3) Academics: primarily for Secondary students (6-12), view student information for grades and assignments

4) Groups: view groups your students have been assigned to



Pages Tab This is the home page, where you can view announcements, Recent Activity and Published Reports.

a. Announcements: check this area to view important announcements and time-sensitive information.

b. Recent Activity: this will display recent activity for all of the students in your household. The default

view is to see all Attendance, Grades and Conduct information for the last 60 days. Use the check boxes

to de-select information you do not wish to see, and use the drop down to modify the date range.

c. Published Reports: a PDF version of the Student Profile Sheet will display once that has been updated

for the new school year. Click on the icon to review the information, and contact the school office if you

need to update any information.

Family Tab a. Click on the Family tab. This will display a list view of all of the students in your household. Click on a

student name to view their information, and use the Side Tabs to navigate to specific information.



b. Details: click on the Details side tab to view basic student information

c. Contacts: click on the Contacts side tab to view parent/guardian contact information. If any updates

need to be made, please contact the school office. We plan to make this screen editable in the future so

you can enter updates directly.

d. Daily Attendance: view attendance information

e. Health: view immunization and screenings information

f. Transcript: view transcript details. The default view is for All Records.

g. Schedule: view the student’s class schedule



h. Notification: turn on email notifications for attendance and grades (if they fall below a specified

threshold).

To view information for another student, use the forward and back arrow keys in the top right corner. To return to the

original list view of all students, click on the Students link in the top left corner.



Academics Tab Primarily used for Secondary (6-12), this will display student grade and attendance information. Click on the Academics

Top Tab, select a student name from the drop down, then select a Side Tab to navigate to specific information.

a. Details: click on the Details side tab to view a list of the student’s classes, teacher, Current Term

performance and attendance



b. Assignments: click on the Assignments side tab to view Assignment Name, date assigned, date due,

score and feedback. Use the forward and back arrow keys in the top right corner to view the

assignment information for another class. To return to the original class list, click on the Classes link in

the top left corner.

c. Attendance: view detailed attendance information

Note: the default view is to display information for the Current Term. You can also view the Current Year or

Previous Year by clicking on the Filter icon in the orange menu bar on the top right of the page.

Groups Tab a. This will display what groups the student(s) have been assigned to if they have been created by the

school (ex. band, football team).

b. Click on the Groups top tab and select a student name from the dropdown.
