Introduction

( Heb) "M’nourah" = "light bearer" .   Lamp stand  or  Candlestick (KJV).   Holy Place - only the priests entered- fellowship. The Table, with its twelve loaves, pointed to Christ as the

Substance of our fellowship, the One on whom we feed upon.

The Lamp-stand  with its seven lamps foreshadowed Christ as the power for our fellowship, as it supplies the light necessary for it.

The altar of incense  symbolized Christ as maintaining our fellowship, by His intercession providing our continued acceptance before the Father.

Lampstand in Holy Place - Not for the world to see now. Jesus said, "Yet a little while is the Light with you . . while you have

light, believe in the light, that you may be the children of light." The world rejected - tried extinguishing it.

Presently hidden from the unbelieving eyes of the world. Christ risen, exalted is there in the Holy Place.

In God’s presence, the Light now dwells. Only the saints have access to Him for fellowship.

"built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God by Jesus Christ" (1 Pet. 2:5)

Now it is night-time for the world. But His saints are privileged to walk in the light (1 John 1:7)

The olive oil for the lamps to burn continually, is the symbol of the Spirit of God.

There would be nothing in this world for God at the present time if the Holy Spirit was not here.

Every bit of light that shines in the lives of the saints, both for the pleasure of God, and for testimony to

the world, is the fruit of the Spirit's work in the hearts of the saints of God.

redemption to his people is obtained at a great cost. The beaten gold picture of the suffering Christ

Now glorified and rewarded by the Father. The "pure gold" speaks of His deity

In His ministry toward the believers, the Spirit works as "the Spirit of Christ" (Rom. 8:9; 1 Peter 1:11).
