SCREENAGERS DISCUSSIONS: WEDNESDAYS AT 6:15 PMOur church recently hosted a community viewing of the documentary, Screenagers, which highlights the challenges of parenting children and teenagers in this age of technology that is so readily accessible. DEACON ELECTION: OCTOBER 29The names of the deacon nominees are Lee Carter, John Cashwell, Ed Gaskins, Clara Gay, David Hawkins, Ed Morris, Rob Patton, Gene Ray, Kathy Teague, Bruce Thompson, Jim Wall, and Barbara Whiteman. We will be voting by ballot on Sunday, October 29, following worship, to elect deacons for the coming year.

WORSHIP AT THE POINT: OCTOBER 29Worship @ The Point is a monthly worship experience in our Youth Center for students grades 6-12. Our next experience is October 29, with another one coming November 19. We’ll have dinner at 6:00 PM, then worship until 7:30 PM.

HIGHER GROUND BROADCAST & ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY: NOVEMBER 5As we gather for worship on Sunday, November 5, our church will celebrate 91 years of ministry which include 29 years of broadcast ministry. We are inviting members of our broadcast congregation to honor us with their presence. If you know of a regular viewer, encourage them to come. MEMBERSHIP MATTERS: STARTS NOVEMBER 5Have you recently joined HBBC or are you prayerfully considering becoming a member? VETERAN’S DAY CAMPAll children, grades 1-5, are invited to join us for a Veteran’s Day camp on Friday, November 10. Throughout the day children will participate in Bible Study, games, crafts, mission projects, and more. They will also be serving lunch and eating with veterans from our church and community.
