The big event of the holiday season is in the Union Hall in Mineville. In conjunction' with this event there is also a white elephant sale and a rummage sale. The profits from this once a year venture will be turned over to that most worthy cause of the Association, the Scholar- ship fund. It is to be hoped that many will attend and support this sale, and by so doing prove to the organization that they are being fully supported by all of the area people. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Port Henry Fire Department will hold their regular monthly meeting tonight,. December- 1st. The meeting will be called to order at 7:30 p. m. It is of most importance that all members at- tend,' as there a r e m a n y items to be discussed and this will be the last meeting to be held by the group until March. Port Henry welcomes another new business establishment The property formerly operated as "Henry's Mill" has now been re-opened and is to be known as the "County Cash and Carry" and they will be offering for sale all types and kinds of lumbal and building supplies.
