    SYSTEMATIC THEOLOGY

    By

    Bernard Cox

Before we enter into the pros and cons of the manner in which theologians throughout time have pursued

the quest for truth and understanding of the Word of God, let us first determine Gods provided wayof receiving His truth.

!"# $%& #urely the 'ord G"( will do nothing, )ut he revealeth his secret unto his servants the

    prophets.

nd what has )een the way of men*

+-!H /0%/0 1hen said they, Come, and let us devise devices against +eremiah2 for the law shall not

perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let us

smite him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words.

nd what has God to say of this...

+-!H 30%4 1he prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to

pass, then shall the prophet )e 5nown, that the '"-( hath truly sent him.

mention this )ecause 87roof 1exting )y theologians has erred in claiming that the following texts of

scripture pertain to +ohn the Baptist. 1he fact is, the restoration refers to the restoration of the

original doctrines that the -oman Catholic Church corrupted sending the world into the (ar5 ages.

1here are seven distinct church ages or eras throughout the Christian dispensation and to each age, God

sent a message via a messenger. We see this in the first chapter of -evelations and refer to the

sym)ols of the #tars in the Hand of the 'ord and the seven golden candlestic5s in the midst wherein

    +esus was seen standing.

-E'1" /%// #aying, am lpha and "mega, the first and the last% and, What thou seest, write in a

-E'1" /%/3 nd turned to see the voice that spa5e with me. nd )eing turned, saw seven

-E'1" /%/$ nd in the midst of the seven candlestic5s one li5e unto the #on of man, clothed

with a garment down to the foot, and girt a)out the paps with a golden girdle.

-E'1" /%/= nd he had in his right hand seven stars% and out of his mouth went a sharp

twoedged sword% and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

-E'1" /%3> 1he mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven

golden candlestic5s. 1he seven stars are the angels of the seven churches% and the seven

candlestic5s which thou sawest are the seven churches.

-eturning to the presentation of the prophecies...

!11HW /&%/> nd his disciples as5ed him, saying, Why then say the scri)es that lias must first

    come*

!11HW /&%// nd +esus answered and said unto them, lias truly shall first come, and restore all

    things.

!-F 4%// nd they as5ed him, saying, Why say the scri)es that lias must first come*

!-F 4%/3 nd he answered and told them, lias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things2 and how it

is written of the #on of man, that he must suffer many things, and )e set at nought.

!-F 4%/$ But say unto you, 1hat lias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they

listed, as it is written of him.

We also find the ministry descri)ed in 'u5e /&% $>...

'F /&%3= nd as it was in the days of oe, so shall it )e also in the days of the #on of man.

'F /&%3& 1hey did eat, they dran5, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that

oe entered into the ar5, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

    destroyed them all.
