SHRINE CIRCUS 2017 KICKOFF PARTY WITH CHICK-FIL-A ADVERTISING

As in the past this is a free event for all and a great way to purchase your Shrine Circus tickets for
Circus 2017 February 3, 4, and 5, 2017 at the BB & T Arena, Northern Kentucky University.
The Circus Kickoff Party is Saturday January 28, 2016.
This will be held at the Syrian Shrine Center from Noon to 4:00 pm
We have two participating CHICK-FIL-A stores that will supply the kickoff party with 300 sandwiches.
Voice of America, Tylersville Rd. and Mason Montgomery.
If we run out we will be supplied with gift cards for one free chicken sandwich. We will have hot dogs
and all the usual goodies for everyone to munch on.
The Circus Office will be open and selling tickets for the entire four hours. Please bring your friends
relatives, and children to this very special Circus Kickoff party.
As usual the Syrian Clowns will be there performing and up to their BE A CLOWN THINGS THEY DO
The famous CHICK-FIL-A Cow will be joining us at the Syrian Shrine Center January 28, 2017 as well
as at the arena during the Friday night performance on February 3, 2017 and two performances on
Saturday February 4, 2017.

CIRCUS 2017 NEEDS SUPPORT FROM THE NOBLES
In my course of travels the past few weeks many, many nobles have told me they have NOT bought their tickets yet to
Circus 2017.
Please take this seriously. The Syrian Shrine Circus ticket sales office is down about $l7, 000.00 from 2016 Circus. At
$l0.00 per ticket that is l700 tickets. We have to get it rolling. We did it last year in 2016
We have sold already close to 3000 tickets so with your help and a good box office year at the BB&T, Arena we can
have a profitable Circus. The Radio and TV advertising has begun. We are in one Family Magazine which is a free
publication that a tremendous amount of women with children pickup and respond to.
We need your help to spread the word Circus 2017 is only 3l days away.
Please consider getting your tickets soon to ensure better seating.
Again please spread the word, get the circus office phones ringing and ordering tickets.
We thank all those that have purchased tickets thus far you have been a huge help.
Top priority with only 3l days left is to purchase tickets.

MOM AND DADS CIRCUS 2017 DONATIONS NEEDED
We thank everyone that has made donations to the Mom and Dad’s efforts
We need to send more underprivileged kids to the Circus. Times being what they
are we are getting more requests to help kids get to a premier circus performance
than usual
Please if you haven’t made a Mom and Dad's donation for Circus 2017 please
consider doing so
We are in a holiday season of giving now. You have flyers, as well as flyers in the
Shriek
Please send in any amount - It all helps

Donations are down at this moment from last year. All the focus has been on the
activity book and that is now closed

REVISED CIRCUS POLICY
HELLO ILL SIRS / DIVAN/TRUSTEES/ NOBLES and LADIES ALL
The following Revised Circus policy for Circus 2017 will go into effect as soon as possible
2017 Circus workers/volunteers and special guests will come in with a free comp ticket, provided by
the Circus Committee. All workers/volunteers and Special guests with comp tickets will receive a
wristband to enter the hospitality room, all others will need to come down the steps or elevator and
enter though front of the hospitably room at the BB&T Center.
This year, we will only be using the dock entrance for loading and unloading – NO ADMISSIONS.
We are asking all the Unit Directors and Club Presidents, etc. to submit to the Shrine office to the
attention of the Assistant Director (Bruce Pendleton) a list of people needed as workers/volunteer’s,
you could also put in Circus mailbox at Temple front door.
The Circus committee and I would like to see this list by September 12, 2016. The free comp tickets
will be distributed starting January 2, 2017, to Nobles workers/volunteer’s, in good standing.
OUR 2017 CIRCUS REMAINS A FUNDRAISER
The Circus Committee, as we have in the past, are counting on your support of the mom and dad’s
donations, the buying of Circus tickets, bringing in Activity book ads and one liners, as most have
already been doing over the past several years
The Circus Committee has also added a group sale section in the HORSESHOE (only) for $7.00 a seat
at the BB&T for groups of 15 or more seats.
Please work HORSESHOE group sales though our Shrine ticket office only

SYRIAN SHRINE UNIT & CLUB INFORMATION
MUSTANG UNIT
All Nobles,
We are very excited to have the opportunity to bring back the former "Desert Riders" Mustang's. It has taken
a lot of work to get a few of the cars back into good running order over the past winter. Our group is looking
forward to participating and parading with everyone in the coming 2016 season. If anyone is interested in getting
some information on joining, please contact our director Don Brockman @513-518-8201, or the Assistant
Director Jeremy Chaney @513-967-5459. The plan is for us to meet the second Wednesday of every month.
Also, it has been a struggle to find parts for these cars due to the age of the cars. We are trying to reach out
to anyone who used to be in the unit that may have some old parts laying around they would like to give back to
the unit. Again we are excited to participate and grow this Mustang's unit throughout the 2016 season, and
welcome anyone who is interested in joining.

www.shrinersvillage.com all you need is your Temple Membership number, which is located on your dues card,
and then you create your own password. This website is packed full of information pertaining to functions about
various events through Shriners International and the hospitals throughout.
