Intervention strategy
Palghar has both tribal and
non tribal population.
The intervention strategy revolves around the community mobilisation
based on awareness levels
and their capacity building through Anganwadi centres.
Mokhada and Jawahar have predominantly tribal population and have
greater incidences of malnutrition deaths.
Accordingly the strategy revolves around root cause eradication.

• Water storage potential created of over 35 crore litre in 6-
8 months of intervention
• Shift from a single kharif crop dependence to kharif, rabi
and even summer crops.
• Dedicated fodder areas on Farm Bunds lead to
better cattle health and increased milk production
• Cost effective & scientific conservation and harvest of
rain water, largely focused on improving existing infra and
reviving abandoned ones.

Community
Collaborations Local government housing agencies are given a platform to speak directly to beneficiaries at Financial Literacy Workshops and to provide them with accurate information on government, and government-approved projects.
A number of financial partners on board to deliver direct access to appropriate products and services, depending on the location and the needs of beneficiaries.
Alongside government housing, local private developments are also identified that meet relevant criteria. A partnership is formed to enable site visits and other sensitisation activities.
NSDC accredited Skill Development Centres, Corporate CSR funded Skill Development Centres and Social Purpose Organisations operating in the Skills space are contacted to provide skilling / upskilling to vulnerable youth as per their eligibility and aptitude.
Partnerships with like minded corporate entities to co-fund the programme.

housing issues for the period of the programme
• A group of trained, local individuals (Field Officers) from the community itself who would be able to provide continued
support even after the direct intervention is ended, on long term
