Toy Store for Jesus From Pastor Allen Mullins: Recently on a Sunday morning, a 10-year-old boy came up and gave me one of the best blessings a pastor can receive. He said, “Pastor Allen, I had to write an essay in school about a community hero. I wrote about you.” I felt such a sense of pride and joy. This young boy’s family had moved into the community prior to Christmas. As Christmas approached, his mother identified herself as a single mother, unemployed, and unable to provide anything for her four children. She was connected with the Toy Store and came back excitedly saying the Toy Store provided generously for her children. This mother is now regularly attending our church. If that were the end of the story, it would be a lot. But better still, this young boy told me last Sunday that he had invited Jesus into his heart and wants to be baptized! This is the ministry and success of churches working together with the ministry of the Toy Store.
