The climate policy framework• On Thursday 15 June, the Riksdag

took a decision on the introduction ofa climate policy framework forSweden containing new climategoals, a Climate Act and plans for aclimate policy council.

• By 2045, Sweden will have net zeroemissions of greenhouse gases intothe atmosphere and should thereafterachieve negative emissions.

• Emissions from domestic transport,excluding domestic aviation, will bereduced by at least 70 per cent by2030 compared with 2010.
