Swarf Crusher type KB

Function:

The swarf is fed into a conical hopper at the upper part ofthe crusher. In the centre of the hopper a shaft with a topmountredfeeder arm is rotating against angled cutters onthe sides of the hopper. The arm and cutters jointly feed theswarf towards the bottom of the hopper, where a crusher headrotates inside a stationary crusher ring. The swarf is grounddown and broken up into short chips by the crusher headand crusher ring. After completed crushing the chips aredischarged through a chute in the frame.To prevent solid parts as shaft ends, bolts etc. from gettingjammed in the crusher, it is equipped with divisible tools. Ifthe crusher head is blocked by a solid part, the crusher stopsautomatically and reverses. A segment in the crusher ringopens and the part can pass through the opening. The crusherthen automatically resumes operation.
