Karnataka urbanizing fast: One of the five most urbanized states. 39% of population in Urban areas. Projected to increase to >50% by 2030.
Brunt of urbanization on Bangalore
Vehicles are growing faster: 12.06 Million registered vehicles 150% increase in vehicles in a decade
Challenge: Urban sprawl.
Silver lining: Good Public transport base; growing
stronger.
