Qualifications: We are looking for a student who has a passion for the environment, specifically as it relates to urban sustainability and community outreach. Because much of the Sustainable Maryland program involves encouraging and working with local community officials, it is important that our student has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and is comfortable interacting with the public (online or in-person). Solid Microsoft Office Suite experience is required. Social media and/or website design or marketing is desirable but not required. Team spirit and sense of humor always a plus. Learning and Academic Development Opportunities: The Environmental Finance Center provides volunteers with the opportunity to learn valuable program management skills in a consulting environment. Students will be expected to be self-starters who can work well independently, as well excellent team players. Project Assistants will also have the opportunity to participate in professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, conferences and trainings (conditions permitting). Additional Comments: We also offer:

• A great team atmosphere - EFC staff, student assistants, interns and volunteers are all treated as peers and given the opportunity to contribute to project ideas and team discussions.

• Project flexibility - In addition to assigned Sustainable Maryland tasks, the Project Assistant will have the opportunity to work on a community-specific project of their choosing.
