HOW MT. WASHINGTON CAN HELP SUPPORT JHU’S SUSTAINABILITY GOALS: Greenhouse Gas emissions
Use CLFs in task lighting Use natural light when possible Use energy saving power strips or plug
multiple peripherals into a regular power strip and turn off at the end of the day.
Use shades to block summer sun Do not use portable heaters Report problems
Recycling Recycle everything you can – including
toner cartridges, electronics, batteries Limit the use of disposables in break room Recycling challenge!
Purchasing Purchase at a minimum 30% post-
consumer recycled content paper Purchase office supplies with green
attributes like made from recycled content, nontoxic, reduced packaging, etc.
Reduce frequency of deliveries like Office Depot
