Contract manufacturing is the process of working agreement between two companies.

The manufacturer will handle the order and delivery process for the client. As a result the

client does not have to maintain manufacturing facilities, purchase raw materials, or take

the labor in order to produce the finished goods. Contract manufacturing is the basic

working model widely used into many different Industries. Contract manufacturing used

in the pharmaceutical industry, creation of computer components and other electronic

goods. Industries like personal care and automotive parts, and medical equipments are

created by the contract manufacturing.

In the contract manufacturer can be use their facilities to produce quality goods that will

meet customer final expectation. There are several advantages to a contract

manufacturing arrangement. For the manufacturer there is the guarantee of stable work.

In the contract manufacturing have to purchase raw materials, and hire and train the

employees to produce the products. Manufacturing company daily face with the

employees who fails to report to work, equipment that breaks down. The general concept

of contract manufacturing is not limited to the production of goods. Services such as

telecommunications, internet access, and cellular services. Can also supplied by a private

brand.

WHAT IS CONTRACT MANUFACTURING:

Contract manufacturing is the productions of goods by a manufacturer to the external

customer. The customer involves the dealer in the quality planning process and provided

well documented instruction, drawings and specification. Then the dealers understand the

customer expectation on the final products. Both the customer and the dealer should

approach the contract manufacturing with the objective of producing high quality

products. This is the period of core competencies and global alliances. Those companies

are concentrating on core competencies. The main objective is growing quickly and

Page 25: Suraksha Project Work

makes more money. The cost is very important consideration in contract manufacturing.

The customer should consider the good quality of products and price of those products,

protection of intellectual property, timely delivery, technical expertise, and strong work

ethic.
