Improve human resources capacity in central and regional government agencies related to ocean management

1. Simplify/complete the regulations related to bussiness and investment licensing in the ocean sector
2. Establish an integrated service system for ocean related investment with rigid authority divion between the central and regional goverment

Developing integrated ocean economic zones by implementing blue economy principle in Indonesian coastal and marine areas
Effort :
Formulate a blue print for integrated national ocean economy development zone based on blue economy approach

Optimizing Infrastructure require in ocean related bussiness

Encourage the integrated basic infrastructure (energy, freshwater, ocean safety and security facilities, transportation facilities, etc)

4. Integrated the management policy in promoting competitive energy and mineral resources business
5. Develop ocean energy industries (current power, OTEC, etc)
6. Develop marine biotechnology industries
7. Develop marine pharmacy industries

Developing international port cities
Effort :
Develop several main port cities in Indonesia into international scale port cities that will be able to serve “post panamax” (>300,000 DWT) international vessels, completed with international trade and industrial areas and appealing residential areas with green concept

3. Establish a continus relationship between the development of profesional ocean related human resources and the national and international demand

Develop economic cooperation with ocean trade partner countries
Effort :
Develop ocean related human resources through partnership with export destination countries such as Europe, United State of America and Japan

Strengthening and developing the river basin, coastal, ocean and small islands area through integrated and sustainable management
Effort :
1. Improve public awareness in sustainable, ecosystem based environment management and conservation through ectension, training, technical guidance, local cultural approach, information signs and by preventing the waste lettering to the river flow
2. Implement inventory in data, information system and research results in environment through database revitalization, information system revitalization and research revitalization related to development of integrated river basin, coastal and ocean management system in critical areas
3. Apply blue economy by taking into considerations the area’s carring capacity and storage capacity.
4. Accelerate the formulation of disaster mitigation based small islands and coastal spatial management through the composition of Small Islands and Coastal Spation Zoning
5. Accelerate the physical and electrical infrastructure development in the coastal areas
6. Develop the coastal village and ocean industries in the coastal area by : improving the rural economy through various coastal aquaculture activities, tourism, and creative industry activities based on the area’s charactheristics and leading potency; improving the rural economy through ocean industry development such as fisheries and seaweed processing activities

7. Revitalize the rural management in the coastal areas into a sustainable and healthy areas through environmentally friendly coastal village development
8. Appoint ocean ecosystem conservation areas in the inland waters, territorial sea, archipelagic waters, cintingous zone, exclusive economic zone and continental shelf according to the resources and environmental characteristic through ecoregional approach and taking economic potency into consideration
