Mar ch 4, 2019 Superintendent M essage
THOUGHTS FROM DR. BALLDear Judson ISD Team:
Judson ISD has some of the best staff members anyone could hope to have. In the short time I have been here I have seen so many individuals give of their time, financial resources and love. Judson ISD would like to have a way to celebrate, honor, and recognize these amazing individuals. We are now starting a program that will recognize a Judson employee on the first of every month.
Any individual, student, parent, staff, or community member is invited to nominate a Judson ISD employee by filling out and submitting a nomination form ( link here or below). Paper forms are also available and may be obtained by contacting Steve Linscomb, Lexie Greathouse, or Rose Saldivar at the District Office (8012 Shin Oak), or by email at [email protected].
Nominators are asked to give good and demonstrative explanations why an employee is deserving of this award. This can be accomplished by giving specific examples or descriptions of how they have demonstrated excellence in serving students, parents, and co-workers to support the mission of customer service to all those with whom they contact.
Once a month, the committee will meet to discuss the selection of the Employee of the Month. Each nomination will be graded according to the criteria and the points tallied to determine the nominee?s overall score. The highest scoring nominee will be considered for the award. Once this is determined, we will verify with the candidate?s supervisor that the employee is in good disciplinary standing in their department and therefore eligible for the award.
Once the selection has been finalized, the nominee will be presented as the winner in a celebration at their place of work. The winner will be presented with a certificate signed by the Superintendent, a keepsake and will be recognized on the Judson ISD Website.
Thank you so much for helping recognize the amazing employees of Judson ISD that go above and beyond the ordinary.

You may have heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well, there's a lot of wisdom in that...especially when it comes to getting fueled up to learn in the classroom. Six campuses in JISD are piloting Breakfast in the Classroom this year. So, how's it going? Take a look at the video above...see and hear how it 's going in our classrooms.

It has been an incredible ride for the Judson Lady Rockets and Coach Triva Corrales. Going 38-5 for the season, they were on a mission after losing the title game last year to Plano in a squeaker. This time they pulled out their own close victory with a 49-46 win at the Alamodome over DeSoto.
Corina Carter was named the Championship Game MVP with 20 points and seven rebounds. Her layup with 1:49 left in the game put Judson on top for good.
Kierra Sanderlin and Kyra White were named to the All-Tournament team. This was the third time in a row that Judson girls basketball made the state tournament. That 's a testimony to great coaching and supporting these girls. Congratulations to Coach Corrales and all the girls! Be looking for details on the Victory Parade March 7th at 4 pm at Judson!
