Superb Design is a second generation family business with over 30 years experience in the soft furnishing and interior design industry. Located at Mittagong in the Southern Highlands of NSW, we pride ourselves on delivering premium quality, custom made window furnishings, soft furnishings and accessories.

Whether it’s a new development, a complete renovation or a simple room makeover, we combine interior design and decorating to blend the elements of design together. Carol Thompson is the head designer at Superb Design. Carol has over 25 years experience in helping people tell their story through the presentation and layout of their home.

A mirror here, a piece of artwork there, a feature wall of wallpaper, some wonderfully colourful scatter cushions, sometimes small changes or additions can make a big difference to the appearance and feel of your home.

On site design consultation is available, from room styling to floorplans to paint colours to flooring and benchtop selection, a design consultation can be the difference between good and great.

Fabrics really are, “made to be enjoyed”, silk, jacquard, velvet, cotton in so many colours, textures and patterns, simply gorgeous! Superb Design has a large fabric library from both Australian and International fabric houses. The choice of fabric can create a room rich and alluring or soft and subtle.

Fabrics are not only beautiful, but practical. At superb design we can help you choose the right fabric to create your desired style and the right fabric to maximise function through light penetration, insulation and wear.

The choice of curtain style is very important and very much room and home dependent. For example full length curtains with block out lining and a pelmet over the top is an excellent choice for insulation. However if you prefer the light and romance of a floating sheer curtain then a blockout blind behind the beautiful sheer curtain provides the benefits of insulation and privacy whilst still creating the mood and feel.

A vast variety of curtain heading options, valances, trims and decorative poles are available. We’ll help you through the choices to ensure you have the very best finished product.

Blinds are such a functional product. Whether you want daytime privacy, UV protection, darkness or decoration, we have a blind to suit your needs. Every blind we make is custom made and installed with both aesthetic and practical appeal.

Beautiful fabric roman blinds add colour, texture and warmth. Cell blinds have great insulation properties and are very discreet. Roller blinds can be made in anything from a sheer screen to a complete blockout and have great UV protection.

Shutters are great for day and night privacy, light control and view. Available in cedar and hardwood for your interior and aluminium for external use.

All blinds and curtains are available motorised. Remote controlled curtains and blinds help to get things done with ease and style.
