CKI Meetings Soaring High with New Paltz Volunteer and Club Fairs September 2015 Edited by DeYan McCarthy Welcome Back Meeting This month, we focused on fellowship and leadership. We got to know more about our new and old members by passing around a question ball and doing an E-board hot seat. We also played catch phrase as a group and had a workshop, lead by our Vice President Susan, on how to fill out Committee chair applications. At our welcome back meeting did a fellowship activity. We each had an ingredient of a burger taped to our back and then we had to stand in the order of a burger without telling people who they were. Then we played “baby I love you, will you smile for me.” Circle K was represented at the volunteer fair and club fair to recruit new members. Existing members gained leadership experience by tabling with E-board members and talking to other organizations about service opportunities for our club. Thank you Raine, Eloise, Gabby, Stephanie, Kristen, Maryanna, Christina and Sean for helping us out.

Welcome Back Meeting

This month, we focused on fellowship and leadership.

Then we played “baby I love you, will you smile for me.”

Circle K was represented at the volunteer fair and club fair to recruit new members. Existing members gained leadership experience by tabling with E-board members and talking to other organizations about service opportunities for our club. Thank you Raine, Eloise, Gabby, Stephanie, Kristen, Maryanna, Christina and Sean for helping us out.

Member of the Month

Maryanna Cocchiara From September 25th-27th, club members went to Kamp Kiwanis for Circle K’s annual DLSSP. Members did service with other Circle K members from other colleges around New York State. Some of the service projects were cleaning the dining area, raking, cleaning benches, organizing the library and moving benches to the lower camp. Our members also participated in a Circle K spirit fashion show. Many new friendships and memories were made.
