Pig Improvement Canada (PIC) is started in Acme, breeding superior Landrace and Large White pigs. 20 years later, the first market is opened to sell pork directly to customers.

WestJet Campus market location opens in Calgary.

Sunterra Bistro relocates to current location in Gulf Canada Square (+15 level).

TransCanada Tower market location opens in downtown Calgary.

Our Fresh Rewards program launches and

the West Market Square location opens in Calgary.

We officially launch our ROOTS program (Reciprocity, Opportunity,

Openness, Trust and Service). ROOTS includes support for

community partners Inn From The Cold in Calgary and E4C in Edmonton.

Bankers Hall market location opens in downtown Calgary and Sunterra Quality Food Markets Inc. and

Sunterra Catering is born.

SERVES 4

2 cobs of corn, boiled or roasted2 large heirloom tomatoes ¼ red onion, sliced¾ cup bell peppers, julienne¾ cup cucumber, sliced

½ tbsp honey3 tbsp fresh lime juice2½ tbsp olive oil1/8 tsp garlic, finely chopped1 pinch chili flakes 1 tsp cilantro, chopped

Sea salt to taste

Shave the kernels off the cooked cobs of corn. Wash the heirloom tomatoes and cut into 1-inch wedges. Put the corn and tomatoes in a bowl with red onions,

peppers and cucumbers.

In another bowl, whisk together honey and lime juice until the honey dissolves. Add olive oil, garlic, chili flakes, cilantro and salt and whisk till blended. Pour the vinaigrette over the salad and let sit for 20

minutes before serving.
