JOHN 13:36-38

36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow afterward.” 37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” 38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.

Hymn Of Heavenby Johnson | Brian Johnson | Chris Davenport | Phil Wickham

How I long to breathe the air of HeavenWhere pain is gone and mercy fills the streetsTo look upon the one who bled to save meAnd walk with Him for all eternity

Chorus 1 There will be a dayWhen all will bow before HimThere will be a dayWhen death will be no moreStanding face to faceWith He who died and rose again

Holy holy is the Lord And very prayer we prayed in desperationThe songs of faithWe sang through doubt and fearIn the end we’ll see that it was worth itWhen He returns to wipe away our tears And on that day we join the resurrectionAnd stand beside the heroes of the faithWith one voice a thousand generationsSing worthy is the Lamb who was slainForever He shall reign

Chorus 2So let it be todayWe shout the hymn of HeavenWith angels and the SaintsWe raise a mighty roarGlory to our GodWho gave us life beyond the graveHoly holy is the LordHoly holy is the Lord

Sunday School ReviewToday I learned about ... “Baby Moses.” There was a baby boy who was very small, and his mother had to keep him safe from mean King Pharaoh who wanted to hurt him. So, she made a special basket that wouldn’t sink in the water, wrapped him in a blanket, and set him safely in the basket. Then she placed him in the water to float safely down the river. God was watching over him, and so was his sister, Miriam. The basket floated near an area where many ladies were in the water. A princess, the mean Pharaoh’s daughter saw the basket. She could hear a small sound coming from inside it. When she opened the basket, there was a baby inside. She wasn’t mean like the king. She felt sorry for him. She couldn’t take care of a little baby, so she looked around for someone who could help. Out of the bushes came the baby’s sister, Miriam. She knew her mother could feed her little brother. The princess agreed to let Miriam’s mother take care of the baby until he got older. The princess named the baby “Moses” because she found him in the water. Little Moses grew up and then went to live with the princess in a big palace. God took care of baby Moses, and God will take care of us.

QUESTIONS TO ASK YOUR PRESCHOOLER:

1. Who did the mother hide her baby from to

keep him safe?

2. What did she make to put the baby in to

float down the river?

3. Who watched over the baby? What was the

baby’s sister’s name?

4. Who found the baby?

5. Who did the princess agree to let take care

of the baby while he was little?

6. What did the princess name the baby?

MAIN TRUTH: God watches over us.

FAMILY TIME: Read this story in the

Bible. Talk about how God watches

over us, and keeps us from harm. Ask

them to talk about ways God takes

care of them.

KEY BIBLE VERSE: “But when she could

hide him no longer ... she placed the child

in the basket and put it among the reeds

along the bank of the Nile.” Exodus 2:3
