New Parish Key Use Policy: St. Gabr iel the Archangel has been r ichly blessed by God with a facility that He has built to be

used for His honor and glory. The privilege of using the church building to accomplish the Lord’s work is the obligation to ensure

that it is properly secured at all times. As stewards of God’s resources, this is the responsibility of all of us. It is for this purpose that

a policy to control the distribution of keys to the church compound has been developed.

The following individuals are authorized to approve the distribution of keys on either a permanent or temporary basis: • Pastors •

Pastoral Associate • Secretary • Deacons (if applicable).

1. Members desiring to borrow keys must utilize the following procedure:

2. Call or stop by the church office during regular business hours. It may be advisable to call ahead to verify that the keys desired

are available for pick-up.

3. Keys will only be loaned to members when the proposed use of the facility is consistent with the church’s Building Use Policy.

4. The requestor must obtain the keys in person at the church office.

5. All keys must be signed out and signed back in on the 1st business day after the scheduled meeting or event.

6. Report lost or stolen keys immediately to the church office at (504) 282-0296

7. The holder of a key to any portion of the facility assumes responsibility for the safekeeping of the key and its use. Do not pass

key along to other members without consulting the Pastoral Staff.

8. When leaving the building, all doors and windows must be secured as they were upon arrival.

9. Persons to whom keys are issued are responsible for replacing lost or broken keys.

The pastoral staff reserves the right to request the return of any loaned key at any time or deny the request of a key for failure to fol-

low the Key Policy.
