Our Mission The mission of First Unitarian Portland is to create a welcoming community of diverse individuals; to promote love, reason, and freedom in religion; to foster lifelong spiritual growth; and to act for social justice. Our Vision First Unitarian Portland is a beacon of hope for us and for our community, a spiritual center in the heart of our city that helps each of us to find our moral compass, calling and challenging us to build the beloved community with an ever-deepening sense of spirit, diversity, and inclusion. Text and translations for choral music in our services are on our website under Worship/Music Ministry. For the month of September, we share our plate with three frontline voter networks: Ohio Organizing Collaborative, The New Georgia Project and the New Florida Majority Education Fund. • Our Mission

The mission of First Unitarian Portland is to create a welcoming community of diverse individuals; to promote love, reason, and freedom in religion; to foster lifelong spiritual growth; and to act for social justice.

    Our Vision

First Unitarian Portland is a beacon of hope for us and for our community, a spiritual center in the heart of our city that helps each of us to find our moral compass, calling and challenging us to build the beloved community with an ever-deepening sense of spirit, diversity, and inclusion.

Text and translations for choral music in our services are on our website under Worship/Music Ministry.

For the month of September, we share our plate with three frontline voter networks: Ohio Organizing Collaborative, The New Georgia Project and the New Florida Majority Education Fund.

Welcome to Our “Season of Giving”

    First Unitarian Church of Portland

    Since we closed our campus,

    we have worked hard to

    sustain community.

    Committed congregants have

    called every individual and

family in this church on three separate occasions.

We’ve hosted “Sunday social hours” and “Coffee

with the Ministers” on Zoom. We’ve done virtual

Memorial Services and offered blessings by phone.

Folks in thirty states and several foreign countries now tune in and are, somehow,

    members of our community.

The pandemic and the uprising on our streets call for a church that is able to

meet the needs of a changing world and

as those needs have deepened, so has

    our work for justice.

Our path is toward a future which is not

    entirely clear…the future never is.

We need your help now in creating

“Our Path Forward” — please pledge

a gift of support before Celebration

    Sunday, October 4.
