The Japanese Film Festival returns, but this year it is bigger than ever with the programme launching in Cork ahead of Dublin and has expanded to both The Gate Cinema and Triskel Christchurch; The Past is the acclaimed drama from the director of A Separation; the eagerly-anticipated Under The Skin finally comes to our screen; the psychological drama Magic Magic starring Juno Temple (Killer Joe); 20 Feet From Stardom won the 2014 Academy Award for best documentary, and we’re glad to be bringing it to Cork; Calvary is the powerful Irish film starring Brendan Gleeson and our cinema patron Aidan Gillen. We are also delighted to screen two special one-off screenings of the Irish-made experimental feature film A Harbour Town, and the exceptional comedy drama Afternoon Delight. Coming in May will be the 2nd Twisted Celluloid Film Festival, which will feature a mixture of Irish Premieres, retro cult classics and a selection of short films.
