CINEMA NOTESSeptember brings us another packed season of films at Triskel Christchurch, as well as a few special event screenings and a film season.
45 Years is the powerful British drama that must rank as one of the finest films of the year; The Wolfpack is a wonderfully quirky documentary while A Doctor’s Sword makes a welcome return to Triskel after its successful run in August; for this year’s Culture night we present three screenings including the best of Cork Film Festival shorts from 2014, Wim Wenders’ latest film The Salt Of The Earth, and a special screening of bonkers B-movie trailers from 1980s home video.
The Rocky Horror Show Live will be broadcast via satellite from London’s west end for what is sure to be a fun and exciting experience; Roger Waters The Wall is a music documentary/concert movie that should not be missed; there will be an exclusive screening of two films from acclaimed American filmmaker Josephine Decker; and, last but certainly not least, we present a four film showcase from director Noah Baumbach to coincide with the release of his latest film Mistress America.

VIVA VHS! @ 10:30pm60 minutes | For this special event Twisted Celluloid salutes the king of 1980s home entertainment: the video cassette.
