Tumbling Tots

The goal of Tumbling Tots camp is for students to enjoy being active and to gain an understanding of

body-in-motion awareness. Studies show that important reading skills and perceptual motor skills are

enhanced if a child’s level of self-confidence and motor skills are raised

during the formative pre-school years. This gymnastics camp is

designed with positive reinforcement for developing skills that will

accelerate motor development, agility, coordination, flexibility,

strength, a love for physical activity and high self-esteem. Classes include movement education,

tumbling, balance beam, uneven bars, mini-trampoline and vaulting. The use of other apparatus such as

balls, hula hoops, parachute, bright colored squares, blocks and circles will be used to enhance the

awareness of shapes and colors. This camp will be taught by Deborah Hager-Luebbert.
