CAMP CONNORCamp Connor is the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston’s co-ed day camp located on secluded Lower Range Pond in Poland, Maine. Camp Connor’s outdoor setting has a large playing field, beach, wooded areas, adventure island, and lodge in a beautiful natural environment. Character-buidling is part of all Camp Connor activities, which include teambuilding, cooperative games, outdoor sports, and traditional camp activities like boating safety and archery. Licensed by the State of Maine, Camp Connor is for kids entering grades 1–8 in the fall. Camp Connor staff are trained, experienced counselors who care deeply about young people. Our camper-to-staff ratio never exceeds the school-age standard of 12:1. All Senior Counselors are of college age or older and attend up to 40 hours of training prior to the start of camp. Chris Shea, Sports & Camp Director, will lead the staff in his 14th summer at Camp Connor. He is joined by Wil Libby, Assistant Camp Director, and Louise Tirabassi, Waterfront Director.

TEEN LEADERSHIP CAMPWe recognize that teens are a valuable part of our community. Teen Leadership Camp is designed to help teenagers build leadership skills while having fun, discovering new things, and meeting new friends. We provide opportunities for them to develop skills that will help them in the classroom and the workplace — not to mention provide great experience to become future camp counselors. Skills development is progressive, so we ask that each teen commit to a mimimum of three weeks. Those interested in Teen Leadership Camp must complete an application and schedule an interview. A limited num-ber of applicants will be accepted into the program.
