The program will be held fromMonday, June 1 through Friday, August 7, 2020. Students accepted tothe program will carry out researchunder the supervision of anestablished biomedical scientist, write a research paper and have theopportunity to see their workpublished.
Each fellow will be provided a $3,500stipend for the 10-week period plusfree housing. The SUNY Upstatecampus is on the dynamic “UniversityHill” in Syracuse, New York.
The program is competitive. Applicantsshould be undergraduate students ingood academic standing, who will
have completed their junior year ofstudy, and are majors in chemistry,biology, or a related field. Internationalstudents who currently have a J-1 or F-1 visa and who are already attendingschool in the United States are eligibleto apply. Applicants must have astrong interest in pursuing a career inbasic biomedical research.
The main criteria for the selection offellows will be personal scholarshipand academic excellence and thematch of applicant interests with those of participating SUNY Upstateresearchers.
Deadline for Applications: February 3, 2020
In addition to the completed onlineapplication and personal statement,please submit the followingdocumentation:
• An official transcript of yourundergraduate study to date.
• Two letters of recommendation.These may be requested from professors related to your major,an advisor, and/or departmentchair.
