SUMMER SWIMMING LESSONS
CLASS SKILLS TAUGHT TIMES
Parent & Tot Water exploration for children 6 months– 3 years. Safety Skills and
bonding activities will be taught. One parent per child must be in the
water at all times.
Mornings Indoor: 11:20
Afternoon: 1:20
Saturdays: 10:20
Pre Level 1
(Beginning Swimmers 3-5 years old)
Water Exploration
Water adjustment, bubble blowing, full submersion, front and back float,
locomotion along wall, assisted front and back kick, introduction to
alternating arms, safety skills, introduction to treading water. All skills
will be taught with support.
Mornings Indoor: 8:40, 9:20, 11:20
Mornings Outdoor: 10:00
Afternoons: 12:00, 1:20
Evenings: 5:00, 5:40
Saturday: 10:20, 11:00
Pre Level 2
(Swimmers 3-5 years old)
Primary Skills
Under water exploration, assisted front and back glide, leveling off,
bobbing, jump into chest deep water, introduction to alternating arms
and kicks on front/back. Exit Skills: Swimming 5 yards on front unassist-
ed, rolling from front to back when breathing and completing 5 more
yards before leveling off.

Mornings Outdoor: 10:00,10:40
Afternoons: 12:00, 1:20
Evenings: 5:00, 5:40
Saturday: 9:40, 10:20
Pre Level 3
(Swimmers 3-5 years old)
After completed continue at Level2
or 3 regardless of age
Full submersion, bobbing, back/front gliding and flats, treading water,
recovering from a horizontal position to a standing position in the water,
treading water. Exit Skills: Swimming 10 yards on front unassisted,
rolling from front to back and float for 15 seconds and then rolling back
to front and completing 10 more yards before leveling off.

Level 1
(Beginning Swimmers)
Water Exploration
Water adjustment, full submersion of face, supported front and back
float, supported front and back kicking, basic water safety rules, bob in
chest deep water, introduction to alternating arms and legs, introduction
to treading water. Exit Skills: Enter water, travel 5 yards, bob 3 times,
glide on front, back float for 3 seconds and stand.

Evenings: 5:00
Saturday: 10:20, 11:00
Level 2
Primary Skills
Retrieves underwater objects, front and back floats with kick, alternat-
ing arms and kicking on front and back, full submersion. Exit Skills:
Swimming 5 yards on front unassisted, rolling from front to back when
breathing and completing 5 more yards before leveling off. Front float
for 5 seconds then back float for 5 seconds and stand.

Afternoons: 12:00, 12:40
Evenings: 5:40, 6:20
Saturday: 9:40, 11:00
Level 3
Stroke Readiness/Development
Diving progression, treading water, introduction to side breathing, jump
into deep water, front crawl, back crawl, elementary back stroke all 3
strokes for 15 yards, sidestroke/dolphin kick 10 yards. Exit Skills: Jump
into deep water, swim 15 yards front crawl, float 30 seconds, swim 15
yards elementary backstroke.

Afternoons: 12:40
Evenings: 4:20, 6:20
Saturday: 9:40, 11:00
Level 4
Stroke Development
Standing and surface dives, deep water bobbing, front crawl for 25
yards with side breathing, back crawl for 25 yards, breaststroke, butter-
fly and sidestroke 15 yards. Exit Skills: swim front crawl 25 yards, 25
yards elementary backstroke, 15 yards back crawl.

Mornings Outdoor: 10:00
Afternoons: 12:40
Evenings: 4:20, 6:20
Saturday: 9:00, 9:40
Level 5
Stroke Development/Refinement
Long shallow dive, deep water bobbing, flip turns, tread water 5
minutes, front crawl and elementary backstroke 50 yards, breaststroke,
sidestroke, backstroke, and butterfly 25 yards. Exit Skills: Shallow dive
swim 50 yards front crawl and elementary backstroke, swim 25 yards
breaststroke and back crawl.

Level 6
Skill Proficiency
Front crawl and elementary backstoke100 yards, back crawl, breast-
stroke, sidestroke, and butterfly 50 yards each, flip turns and open
turns.

Evenings: 4:20

Adult Lessons For any age or ability. Class will be taught around each individual. Will be
taught in the racing pool.
